USER MANUAL Reverso iPlus JANE

_ GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS _This Car Seat is designed to protect the child in the car from 40 cm to 105 cm in height. _It has passed the rigorous safety tests of European standard ECE R129/03. _ COMPATIBILITY _Not all safety systems are exactly the same, therefore we advise you to check the Car Seat in the vehicle where it is going to be fitted. _This is an “i-Size” Child Car Seat for use on seats with “i-Size compatibility” as indicated by the vehicle manufacturer. Please refer to the car manual. _For vehicles that do not have i-Size seats, the car seat can very probably be fitted on the vehicle seats. A compatibility list can be found in the “car fitting” section of the website: www.janeworld.com _Do not install the car seat in a sideways or rear facing position, as this is very dangerous. _WARNING: Be aware of the traffic laws in the country in which you are driving. The use of your child restraint system may be restricted. _ INSTRUCTIONS _Read these instructions carefully before using the Car Seat for the first time. Failure to follow these instructions carefully may put your child’s safety at risk. _Everyone who is going to use the car seat should also be familiar with its correct installation, use and how to get the child out in the event of an accident. _Keep the instructions in their compartment, and refer to them as necessary. You can also find them at: www.janeworld.com or by scanning the QR code found on the seat itself. _The instructions in the vehicle handbook should also be observed. Remember to always secure your baby with the safety harness correctly fastened, fitted snugly and without any twists. The support leg must be in contact with the floor of the vehicle. This Safety Seat is designed for use in the car, and must not be used outside the vehicle. If in doubt, consult the Safety Seat manufacturer or retailer. Never leave the child unattended in the safety seat.19

_ ALTERATIONS / MODIFICATIONS It is very important not to use second-hand products, as JANÉ can only guarantee the total safety of items used by the original buyer. Any alterations or additions to the device without proper authorisation from JANÉ may seriously alter the safety of the restraint system. This safety device must not be used without its upholstery, nor may it be replaced by any other upholstery that is not the original one, as it is an integral part of the safety features of the system. Never add a mattress, pillow or extra padding to make it more comfortable for the child as this would change the safety features of the system. The use of accessories or replacement parts not approved by JANÉ is not permitted. Contraventions like this will cancel all warranties and liability claims. _ GENERAL The restraint system must not be damaged or caught by moving parts inside the vehicle or by the doors. The Safety Seat must be properly secured with the seat belts and/or ISOFIX anchors, even when it is not in use, as it could be thrown about in the event of an accident, causing injury to the occupants of the vehicle. Luggage or any other objects likely to cause damage or injury in the event of an accident should also be safely secured or stored away. Your child safety seat should be replaced with a new one if it has been subjected to severe stress in an accident. Children may carry objects in their pockets (e.g. toys) or their clothing may have rigid parts (e.g. buckles). Make sure these objects do not get between the child and the seat belt, as they could cause injury in the event of an accident. Children are often very active. For this reason, explain to them how important it is to be properly seated and secured at all times. This will make it clear that the seat belt route must not be changed and the fastenings must not be undone. Protect the non-upholstered areas of the restraint system from direct sunlight to prevent the baby’s skin from coming into contact with hot parts.21
