SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAW STANDS

  • Pull the plug from the mains receptacle and/or remove the battery from the power tool before making adjustments on the tool or changing tool accessories. Unintentional switching on of the power tool is the cause of many accidents.
  • Assemble the saw stand in the proper manner before mounting the power tool. Proper assembly is important to prevent the risk of a collapse of the saw stand.
  • Attach the power tool securely to the saw stand before using it. Slipping off of the power tool on the saw stand can lead to loss of control.
  • Place the saw stand on a firm, level and horizontal surface. If the saw stand can slip off or wobbles, the power tool or the workpiece cannot be uni

formly and securely guided.

  • Do not overload the saw stand and do not use it as a ladder or scaffolding. Overloading or standing on the saw stand can lead to the upward shifting of the centre of gravity of the stand and its tipping over.
  • When working or transporting, take care that all bolts and connecting elements are firmly tightened. The attachment sets for the power tool must always be firmly locked. Loose connections can lead to instability and inexact sawing.
  • Mount and dismount the power tool only when it is in the transport position (for instructions on the transport position, also see the operating instructions of the respective power tool). Otherwise, the power tool can have such an unfavourable centre of gravity that it cannot be held securely.
  • When the power tool is mounted to the attachment set, operate it exclusively on the saw stand. Without the saw stand, the attachment set with the power tool does not stand securely and can tip over.
  • Ensure that long and heavy workpieces do not affect the equilibrium of the saw stand. Long and/or heavy workpieces must be supported at the free end.
  • Keep your fingers clear of the hinge points while pushing the saw stand together or pulling it apart. Danger of fingers being crushed or contused.
  • Observe valid national and international standards.

2.PRODUCT INFORMATION

Intended use

This product is designed and intended for domestic use, for general purpose tool stand use in home and garden environments and for hobby purposes. This workbench is not developed for professional use. The Workbench must be handled, cared for and maintained in accordance with these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper and may result in damage to property or personal injury.

The universal tool stand is designed for use with tabletop devices such as litre saws, scroll saws, table saws, etc. Electric power tools without suitable mounting holes are not permitted to be fitted to the universal tool stand and shall not be operated in conjunction with the universal tool stand. Electric power tools must be firmly bolted to the universal tool stand before starting them up.

The universal tool stand is also designed as a workpiece support when working with metre saws, scroll saws, circular table saws, and other similar electric power tools. The maximum workpiece length is 3m. Additional workpiece supports may have to be used (e.g. a roller trestle) in order to prevent longer workpieces tilting. Attention: Ensure that the workpiece support is secure and not tilted!

Vonroc MS805AA - ASSEMBLY - 1

Study each figure and identify the components required with reference to the contents table above.

Unfolding The Stand (fig. A)

  1. Lay the litre saw stand on the floor with the folded legs (12) facing upwards.
  2. Depress the spring-loaded pin (11) and unfold the two upper legs (12) until the spring-loaded pin (11) clicks into the pin slot (10).
  3. Repeat the same procedure for the other two legs.
  4. Lift the stand and flip it into the upright position.
  5. Check that the stand is stable and all of the leg locking pins have engaged properly.

Folding The Stand

One pair of legs on the stand must fold firstly for the stand to fold flat. The legs have not folded into place if the spring-loaded pins (11) do not pop into place. The legs should not swing about when the stand is picked up if the legs have locked into position.

  1. Turn the metre saw stand upside down on the floor with the legs (12) sticking up.
  2. Depress the spring-loaded pin (11) on the lower pair of legs and fold them in.
  3. Repeat the same procedure on the other pair of legs.

Attaching The Extension Arms (Fig. B)

  1. Slide the extension arm (4) into the frame (9) until the desired length is reached.
  2. Now insert a extension arm knob (6) into the corresponding hole on the frame turn it clockwise to secure the extension arm (4) in place, as shown on figure B.
  3. Insert a workpiece support (2) into the collar on the extension arm (4). The side with the end stop (5) should be facing inwards towards the centre of the stand.
  4. Insert a workpiece support knob (3) into the extension arm (4) and turn it clockwise to tighten the workpiece support (2) into place.

Attaching the litre saw mounting bars (Fig. C)

Vonroc MS805AA - Attaching the litre saw mounting bars (Fig. C) - 1

Only use a litre saw that has four fixing holes (one in each corner of the base) on this stand. If the litre saw does not meet this requirement, do not use it with this stand as the litre saw cannot be properly secured. Failure to follow this direction may result in damage to property and/or personal injury.

  1. Press the mounting bar lever (14) and hook the opposite end of the mounting bar (7) onto the frame (9) of the stand, as shown on figure C.
  2. Lower the mounting bars (7) onto the frame and release them to lock the mounting bar into place.
  3. Repeat the same procedure with the other mounting bar.

Attaching A Mitre Saw (Fig. D, E)

Vonroc MS805AA - Attaching A Mitre Saw (Fig. D, E) - 1

  2. Place the litre saw on the mounting bars (7) and line up the holes in the litre saw base with the slots on the mounting bars (7).
  3. Feed a bolt through the bottom of the mounting bar (7) then through the base of the metre saw.
  4. Slide a washer and then a spring washer onto the bolt and fasten it with a nut.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other four holes on the litre saw base.

Attaching other types of machines that do not fit the standard mounting bars

Vonroc MS805AA - Attaching other types of machines that do not fit the standard mounting bars - 1

Do not mount a table saw on this miter saw stand. Aggressive feeding of sheet materials into the table saw could cause the stand to tip over.

To mount different machine types (that do not fit onto the litre saw mounting bars), VONROC offers MS807AA universal machine supports. To mount these universal machine supports:

  1. Connect the universal machine supports to the mounting bars (7) and secure them with 4 hexagonal screws, 4 washers, 4 spring washers and 4 hexagonal nuts as supplied with the MS807AA universal machine supports.
  2. Place your tabletop machine onto the universal machine supports.
  3. Fasten the tabletop machine with 4 hexagonal screws, 4 washers, 4 spring washers and 4 hexagonal nuts as supplied with the Mitre saw stand.
  4. Tighten the screws after assembly.
  5. Fasten the mounting bars (7) with the mounted tabletop machine on the litre saw stand, as described in 'Attaching A Mitre Saw'

  2. Adjust the extension arms (4) to the desired cutting length.
  3. Place the end of the workpiece against the end stop (5) and commence the cut.

Transportation (Fig. F)

Make sure the extension arms have been put into to the most compact position (refer to 'Adjusting The Extension Arms'). Now fold the stand as described in 'Folding the stand'. Use the carrying handle (8) placed in the centre of the frame (9).
