Introduction Congratulations on purchasing your new watch (hereinafter referred to as the "device"). You have chosen a high-quality device. The instruction manual is part of this device. It contains important instructions pertaining to the safety, use and disposal of the device. Please familiarise yourself with all the operating and safety instructions before using this device. Use the device only as described for the indicated purposes. All documents must be provided when giving the device to third parties. Please keep the packaging and the instruction manual for future queries. Approved use The device is suitable for displaying the time. Any other use or modification of the device is considered improper. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper- 4 - use or incorrect operation. WARNING! Health hazard!

Keep new and old batteries out of reach of small children. If a battery is swallowed, medical help must be obtained immediately. The battery always has to be inserted with the correct polarity. Clean the battery and device contacts beforehand if necessary. Do not attempt to recharge, short-circuit, or open the- 9 - battery. Never heat the battery and then recharge it. Do not expose the battery to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or similar. There is an increased risk of leakage. Never throw the battery into fire as it may explode. Improper use of the battery poses a risk of explosion and leakage of the battery fluid. If the battery should leak, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Use protective gloves. In case of contact with battery fluid, rinse the affected areas with plenty of clean water straight away and seek medical attention immediately. Remove the dead battery from the device immediately; there is an increased risk of leakage.- 10 - Band shortening for the model 4 The band includes a moveable clasp for easy band shortening.

1. Push a suitable tool into the opening on the clasp and

lever the clasp open.

2. Move the clasp to the required length and let it snap into

place on the horizontal grooves on the back side of the strap.

3. Securely re-engage the clasp (using a tool if necessary).- 11 -

Time setting Carefully pull the crown out all the way. Turn the crown clockwise or counter clockwise to set the time. To finish the setting press the crown back in all the way. Replacement of battery (SR626SW) Battery replacements must be performed by an expert to avoid damaging the case or gaskets. Cleaning instructions Improper cleaning can damage the device. DO NOT immerse the device in water or other liquids. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas and similar. These can damage the surface. Clean the device with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth, such as is used for cleaning eyeglass lenses.- 12 - Water resistance Water resistant up to 5 bar. The bar value specifies the atmospheric overpressure which is applied during testing (DIN 8310).

Storage If the device is not used for a longer period of time, remove the batteries and store the device, cleaned and protected from sunlight, in a dry, cool place, ideally in the original packaging. This product is subject to the European Directive 2012/19/EU. The crossed-out rubbish bin symbol means that the product must be disposed of at a separate waste collection point in the European Union. Labelled products must not be disposed of together with normal household waste, but must be returned to a- 15 - collection point that accepts electrical and electronic equipment for recycling. Do not throw your product into the household waste when it has served its purpose, but dispose of it properly in the interests of environmental protection. You can check with your local authorities about collection centres and their opening times. Please take care to follow the regulations that are currently in force. Disposal of batteries The accompanying symbol indicates that batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Defective or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EU and its amendments. Consumers are legally obliged to dispose of all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless of whether they contain harmful substances such as: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead, Li = lithium or not, at a collection point in their municipality/district or- 16 - at a retail outlet, for environmentally friendly disposal and for the recovery of valuable raw materials such as cobalt, nickel or copper. Some of the possible materials such as mercury, cadmium and lead are poisonous and, if not disposed of properly, endanger the environment. Heavy metals, for example, can have harmful effects on the health of humans, animals and plants and- 17 - accumulate in the environment and in the food chain, and then enter the body indirectly via food.

With used batteries containing lithium (Li = lithium), there is a high risk of fire. Therefore, special attention must be paid to the proper disposal of used and rechargeable batteries containing lithium. Incorrect disposal can also lead to internal and external short circuits due to thermal effects (heat) or mechanical damage. A short circuit can lead to a fire or an- 18 - explosion and have serious consequences for humans and the environment. For this reason, tape off the poles of lithium-based and rechargeable batteries prior to disposal in order to avoid an external short circuit. Batteries and rechargeable batteries that are not permanently installed in the device must be removed and disposed of separately before disposal of the device. Please only return empty batteries and rechargeable batteries! Use rechargeable batteries instead of disposable batteries whenever possible.- 19 - Recycling This product packaging consists of recyclable materials. Dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way using the collection systems available. Waste disposal Please dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Note the labelling on the various packaging materials and dispose of them separately if necessary. The digi-tech gmbh warranty This device has a 3 year warranty valid from the date of purchase. In the event of defects in this device, you have statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not limited by our warranty set out below.- 20 - Warranty terms The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the receipt. This document is required as proof of purchase. If a material or manufacturing defect occurs within three years of the date of purchase of this device, we will replace or repair the device – at our own discretion – free of charge. This warranty service is subject to the condition that the defective device and the proof of purchase (receipt) are presented within the three-year period and that a brief written description describing the nature of the defect and when it occurred is provided. If the defect is covered by our warranty, we will either repair your device or send you a replacement. There is no new warranty period starting with the repair or replacement of the product. Warranty period and statutory claims for defects The warranty does not extend the warranty period. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damage or defects already present at the time of- 21 - purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the warranty has expired, any repairs are subject to a charge. Scope of Warranty The device was carefully manufactured according to strict quality guidelines and carefully checked before delivery. The warranty applies to material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover parts of the product that are subject to normal wear and tear and can therefore be regarded as wear parts or damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, or parts made of glass. This warranty is void if the unit has been damaged or improperly used or maintained. For proper use of the device, all instructions given in the manual must be closely observed. Uses and actions that are advised against or warned against in the operating instructions must be avoided at all costs. The device is designed exclusively for private and not for commercial use. The warranty expires in the event of abusive or improper handling, the use of force or- 22 - repairs that were not carried out by our authorised service branch.
