Batteries of the Parkside X12V TEAM series may only be charged using chargers of the Parkside X12V TEAM series.   • Charge the batteries only in chargers that are recom- mended by the manufac- turer. Risk of re if a charger that is suitable for a speci c type of battery is used with other batteries.

  • Keep the unused battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal objects, which could cause bridging of the contacts. A short circuit be- tween the battery contacts may cause burns or re.
  • If used incorrectly, liquid may leak from the battery. Avoid contact with this. In the event of accidental con- tact, rinse off with water. If the liquid gets into eyes, seek medical assistance. Leaking battery fl uid may cause skin irritations or burns.
  • Do not use damaged or altered batteries. Dam- aged or altered batteries can be unpredictable and lead to re, explosion or risk of injury.
  • Do not expose batteries to fi re or elevated temperatures. Fire or temperatures over 130°C can cause an explo- sion.
  • Follow all instructions for charging and never charge the battery or the battery- powered tool outside the temperature range stated in the operating instructions.   • Allow a hot battery to cool before charging.
  • Do not open up the battery and avoid mechanical dam- age to the battery. Risk of short circuit and fumes may be emitted that irritate the respiratory tract. Ensure fresh air and seek medical assis- tance in the event of discom- fort.
  • Do not use non-rechargeable batteries! Correct handling of the battery charger
  • Keep the equipment away from children and pets. Chil- dren must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
  • Before each use, check the charger, cable and plug and have them repaired by quali- fi ed professionals and only with original parts. Do not use a defective charger and do not open it up yourself. This ensures that the safety of the device is maintained.
  • Connect the charger only to a socket with an earth. En- sure that the mains voltage matches the specifi cations on the charger rating plate. Risk of electric shock.
  • Disconnect the charger from the mains before closing or opening connection to the battery / power tool / de- vice.

  • If the connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or their custom- er service or by a similarly quali ed person in order to avoid hazards.
  • The battery of your device is only partially pre-charged upon delivery and must be fully charged before being used for the rst time. Insert the battery into the base and connect the charger to the mains.
  • Remove the mains plug when the battery is fully charged and disconnect the battery from the charger.
  • Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries in the charger.
  • Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by PARKSIDE. This can result in electric shock or re.   • If the operating time is con- siderably shortened despite charging, this shows that the rechargeable battery is depleted and must be re- placed. 1. To remove the battery (1)

from the device, press both release buttons (2) on the battery and pull the battery out.

2. To insert the battery (1),

push the battery along the guide rail into the device. Only insert the rechargea- ble battery once the bat- tery-operated tool is ready for use. Checking the battery charge level The battery charge status indi- cator of the cordless tool signal- ises the state of charge of the battery (1).

Recharging the battery If warm, allow the battery to cool before charging. Charge the battery (1) when only the red LED on the level indicator is illuminat- ed. The battery charge status indi- cator of the cordless tool signal- ises the state of charge of the battery (1). The two left LEDs (4/5) are assigned to the left charging slot. The two right LEDs (4/5) are assigned to the right charging slot.

  • If a fully recharged battery lasts for considerably shorter operating times, the battery is used up and needs to be replaced. Only use an original replacement battery from the Parkside X 12 V Team series, which can be purchased from the online shop (see the “Spare parts” section).

  • Remove the battery before storing the unit for longer periods of time.
  • During a longer storage peri- od, check the state of charge of the battery and recharge if necessary roughly every 3 months.
  • The storage temperature for the battery is between 0 °C and 45 °C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during storage to ensure the battery output is not adversely affected.
  • Only store the batteries in the partially-charged state. During prolonged storage, 2 to 3 LEDs should be illu- minated. The battery charge status indicator of the cord- less tool signalises the state of charge of the battery (1). Wall mounted charger (optional) You can also mount the charger (3) on thewall.
  • Using dowels, place two screws 152,6mm (6”) apart at the desired position of a wall.
  • The screw head can have a diameter of 7 - 9 mm
  • Leave the screw heads pro- truding at a distance of ap- prox. 10 mm from the wall.
  • With the openings of the wall bracket, you can attach the charger (3) to the two screws and pull the charger down until it stops. When drilling, be careful not to damage any supply lines. Use suitable search devices to fi nd these or consult an instal- lation plan for guidance. Contact with electrical cables can lead to electric shock and fi re. Contact with a gas pipe can result in an explosion. Damage to a water pipe can lead to property dam- age and electric shock. Cleaning Clean the charger and the bat- tery with a dry cloth or with a paint brush. Do not use water or metal objects.GB MT
  • The appliance cleaner is maintenance free. Disposal and protection of the environment Remove the battery from the device and take the device, bat- tery, accessories and packag- ing for environmentally friendly recycling. Machines do not belong with domestic waste. Do not dispose of batter- ies in household waste, re (risk of explosion) or water. Damaged batteries may damage the environment and your health if toxic fumes or liq- uids leak out.
  • Take the charger to a recy- cling plant. The plastics and metals in the unit can be sorted and appropriately recycled. Ask our Service Centre for details.
  • Dispose of batteries in discharged condition. We recommend covering the pole with adhesive tape to prevent a short circuit. Do not open up the battery.
  • Dispose of batteries in ac- cordance with the local regu- lations. Take batteries to an old battery collection point where they will be recycled in an environmentally friend- ly manner. For information about this, ask your local waste management com- pany or our service centre.
  • Defective units returned to us will be disposed of for free.
