During production, this equipment has been checked for quality and subjected to a - nal inspection. The functionality of your equipment is therefore guaranteed. The operating instructions constitute part of this product. They contain important information on safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all of the operating and safety instructions. Use the product only as described and for the applica- tions specied. Keep this manual safely and in the event that the product is passed on, hand over all documents to the third party. Intended purpose This powerful rechargeable LED handlamp with bright, even working light is suitable for illuminating dry, poorly lit indoor areas, such as hobby workshops. The handlamp is not intended to be used as room lighting. - Do not cover the device when in use. The device becomes hot during use and can cause burns.
- Do not look into the light beam. Do not aim the light beam at peo- ple or animals.
- Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to use the lamp.
- Do not allow children to use the device. They could inadvertently blind other people or themselves.
- Check that the device is16 IEGB secured properly. There is a risk of injury if the device falls down.
- The light source of this device is not replace- able. If the light source has reached the end of its life, then the whole device must be re- placed.
- The luminaire housing protects against acci- dental contact with ac- tive parts. Do not open the housing. Service
- Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the po- wer tool is maintained. Special safety direc- tions for battery-ope- rated tools
- Ensure that the device is switched off before inserting the battery. Inserting a battery into a power tool that is switched on may result in accidents.
- Do not use any accesso- ries that are not recom- mended by PARKSIDE. This can result in electric shock or re. Observe the safety information and notes on charging and proper use as shown in the instruction manual for your battery and char- ger from the Parkside X20VTEAM series. A de- tailed description of the charging process and fur- ther information can be found in the separate ope- rating instructions. Operation Inserting/removing the battery
1. To insert the battery (5),
place it on the guide track and push it back into the ap- pliance. It will audibly snap in.
2. To remove the battery (5)
from the appliance, press the release buttons (6) on the bat- tery and pull out the battery.17 IEGB Checking the battery charge level The battery’s (4) charge level is indicated by the charge state indicator (5). Press the button for the charge level indicator (3) on the battery. The charge level of the battery is indicated by illumination of the corresponding LED light. red-yellow-green => Battery fully charged red and yellow => Battery half charged red => Battery needs to be charged Switching ON and OFF
2. To switch the device off,
press the on/off switch (7). Working instructions Do not look into the light source. Swivelling the rechargeable LED handlamp The tilting lamp head (1) can be adjusted to 12 different lighting angles. Hanging the rechargeable LED handlamp You can use the rotating hook (2) to hang the rechargeable LED handlamp on eyelets or poles. To do this, fold the rotating hook (2) outwards. Maintenance The appliance cleaner is maintenance free. Cleaning Switch the device off before cleaning and remove the battery from the device.
- Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth to avoid scratching the cover of the LED lamp and use a brush to clean the crevices on the device.
- Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or solvents. These could damage the device irreparably.
- Do not use water or metallic aids. There is a risk of a short circuit. Storage Before prolonged storage, remove the battery from the device and charge it fully.18 IEGB Disposal and protection of the environment Remove the battery from the de- vice and recycle the device and packaging in an environmen- tally-friendly manner. Instruc- tion on how to dispose of the rechargeable battery can be found in the separate instruction manual. Machines do not belong with domestic waste.
- Return the unit to a recycling centre. The plastics and me- tals in the unit can be sorted and appropriately recycled. Ask our Service Centre for details.
- Dispose of batteries in accordance with the local regulations. Take batteries to an old battery collection point where they will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. For information about this, ask your local waste management company or our service centre.

If you have any other questions, contact the ”Service-Center” (see page 20). Guarantee Dear Customer, This device comes with a three- year warranty from the date of purchase. In case of defects, you have statutory rights against the seller of the product. These stat- utory rights are not restricted by our guarantee presented below. Terms of Guarantee The term of the guarantee be- gins on the date of purchase. Please retain the original re- ceipt. This document is required as proof of purchase. If a material or manufacturing defect occurs within three years of the date of purchase of this product, we will repair or replace – at our choice – the product for you free of charge. This guarantee requires the de- fective equipment and proof of purchase to be presented within the three-year period with a19 IEGB brief written description of what constitutes the defect and when it occurred. If the defect is covered by our guarantee, you will receive either the repaired product or a new product. No new guaran- tee period begins on repair or replacement of the product. Guarantee Period and Statutory Claims for Defects The guarantee period is not extended by the guarantee service. This also applies for replaced or repaired parts. Any damages and defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs arising after expiry of the guarantee period are chargeable. Guarantee Cover The equipment has been care- fully produced in accordance with strict quality guidelines and conscientiously checked prior to delivery. The warranty is only valid for material or manufacturing de- fects. This warranty does not extend to consumable parts ex- posed to normal wear and tear. This guarantee shall be invalid if the product has been dam- aged, used incorrectly or not maintained. Neither does it ex- tend to damage resulting from water, frost, lightning and re or improper transport. Precise adherence to all of the instruc- tions specied in the operating manual is required for proper use of the product. Intended uses and actions against which the operating manual advises or warns must be categorically avoided. The product is designed only for private and not commercial use. The guarantee will be invalidated in case of misuse or improper handling, use of force, or interventions not undertaken by our authorised service branch.
