Original instructions
1. Declaration of Conformity
We, being solely responsible, hereby declare that this product conforms to the standards and directives specified on page 3.
2. Specified Use
This garment is intended to keep the body warm in cold environmental conditions.
The garment must only be used in connection with the Metabo Power Adapter PA 14.4-18 LED-USB.
This garment is not designed for use by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety, or have received instructions on how to use the device by this person.
The user bears sole responsibility for any damage caused by inappropriate use.
Generally accepted accident-prevention regulations and accompanying safety instructions should be observed.
3. General Safety Instructions

For your own protection and for the protection of your device pay attention to all parts of the text that are marked with this symbol!

This garment is not designed for use by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge.
Never allow children to use the garment.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the garment.
4. Special Safety Instructions
You are using an electrical device. Remove the battery pack and the Power Adapter, if you feel unwell, if there is smoke or any smell.
Improper use may lead to burns.
The jacket can burn - do not use the jacket near flying sparks or open fire.
Do not wear the garment on naked skin, always wear at least a T-shirt underneath the jacket.
If you notice that the following symptoms appear while using the garment, take off the garment, remove the battery pack and the Power Adapter and consult a physician. Otherwise you might risk suffering from heat exhaustion or getting a heat stroke.
-First signs:
Any discomfort; excessive sweating; neck pain; nausea; vertigo or drowsiness.
- S y m p t o m s f o r h e a t e x h a u s t i o n/heat stroke: Nausea and vomiting; pulsating headaches; dizziness and drowsiness; absence of perspiration; red, hot and dry skin; muscle weakness or seizures; heart palpitations; quick, shallow breathing; changes in behaviour such as confusedness, disorientation or staggering gait; unconsciousness
Do not wear the garment during pregnancy or if you have problems that make you sensitive to overheating.
If you have any body aids. Ask your doctor and/or the manufacturer of the body aid if you can use this heated garment.
Remove the Power Adapter and the battery pack when you do not use the garment.
Deactivate the heating of the garment if you move around in a warm environment. There is the risk of a heat stroke.
Do not use the garment for keeping warm of toddlers, helpless, sleeping or unconscious persons or persons with circulatory disorders. The wearer must be able to immediately perceive the temperature of the garment and his/her own physical comfort to prevent overheating.
The garment is not intended for hospital use.
Protect the garment with connected battery pack from heat, e.g. also from continuous direct sunlight, fire, water and moisture. There is a risk of explosion.
Do not pierce the garment with needles or other pointed objects. A damaged heating element or a damaged cable of the connection plug causes a malfunction of the garment and increases the risk of electric shock or fire.
Do not misuse the cable of the connecting plug for other purposes such as e.g. the carrying or pulling of the garment or for removing the battery pack. Keep the cable away from oil, pointed objects or moving parts. Do not kink the cable. A damaged heating element or a damaged cable of the

connection plug causes a malfunction of the garment and increases the risk of electric shock or fire.
The garment is water-repellent, in case the jacket is wet it must not be used. Remove the battery pack and the Power Adapter.
Do not fold a heated garment and do not store any objects on top of it. A damaged heating element or a damaged cable of the connection plug causes a malfunction of the garment and increases the risk of electric shock or fire.
Pay careful attention to the instructions for care and cleaning of the garment. Lack of due diligence carries the risk of electric shock or fire.
Leave the garment to cool completely before storing it.
Check at regular intervals if the garment shows any signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or if the garment has been used for other purposes, do not continue to use the garment and return it to the dealer.
Have your device serviced by a qualified repair person using only genuine replacement parts. This will ensure that the garment functions safely.

6. Commissioning
Connect the heated jacket to the Power Adapter (7) using one of the two cables provided (9)/(10). Ensure that the plug is inserted completely.
Variant 1 (see figure A, page 3): Connect the connection plug of the left back pocket (7) to the 12V connection of the Power Adapter (10) (observe operating instructions of the Power Adapter!).
Variant 2 (see figure B, page 3): Connect the connection plug of the right back pocket (9) to the 12V connection of the Power Adapter (10) (observe operating instructions of the Power Adapter!). Then connect the connection plug of the left back pocket (7) with the connection cable (8), which can also be found in the left back pocket (5).
Subsequently switch on the Power Adapter. (observe operating instructions of the Power Adapter!).
The Power Adapter can be stored in one of the back pockets provided (5)/ (6). Alternatively, the cable with the connection plug (7)/ (9) can be guided through the respective cable exit (14) through the inside of the jacket and the Power Adapter (10) can be fixed at the belt.
When using USB devices use the provided pockets, cable guides (13) and openings (14).
7. Use
7.1 Heating zones
In total, the jacket has 5 heating zones.

7.2 Switching on/off of the heating elements
Switching on: Press the on/off switch (11)/(12) of the desired heating zone (about 2 seconds) until the push button flashes.
Note: When switching on, the flashing heat pulse stage is always set. If no changes are effected to the heating stages, the heating output is automatically reduced to the medium heating stage after approx. 5 minutes.
Switching off: Press the on/off switch (11)/(12) of the respective heating zone until the push button is no longer lit.
7.3 Set heating stages
The heating stage is indicated by the colour of the push button's illumination. Each time the button is pressed, the colour changes (heating stage), press the on/off switch (11)/ (12) until you have set the desired heating stage. The heating stage can also be set manually when the button is flashing.

8. Faults
Ensure that the maximum output power of the Power Adapter is not exceeded (observe operating instructions of the Power Adapter!).
In case of overheating of the garment, the heating elements are switched off automatically, let the garment cool down for 30 minutes before switching back on the heating elements. Any attempts of switching on after automatic shutdown may lead to damage to the heated jacket, Power Adapter or battery pack.
9. Cleaning

Interrupt the connection between garment and Power Adapter and remove the battery pack to effecting any type of cleaning.
Prior to cleaning remove all contents of the pockets, in particular the Power Adapter, battery pack and USB devices.
Close the zippers of all pockets.
The connection plugs (7)/(8)/(9) can be washed together with the jacket.
Do not clean with aggressive cleaning agents.
Prior to connection with the Power Adapter, the garment and the contacts have to be dry.
Refer to the instructions on the inside of the garment for washing:

hand wash up to max. 40^

no dry cleaning
dry on washing line
do not tumble dry
do not wring

do not iron
10. Repairs
Repairs to the device must only be carried out by qualified electricians.

11. Environmental Protection
Observe national regulations on environmentally compatible disposal and on the recycling of disused machines, packaging and accessories.
Only for EU countries: never dispose of power tools in your household waste! Used power tools must be collected separately and handed in for environmentally compatible recycling in accordance with European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in national legal systems.
