How do I mount the EOX FL 100 on my fork?

Use the supplied bracket. First loosen the existing screw on your bike's fork crown. Insert this screw into the screw hole at the lower end of the bracket and tighten it. Ensure that the cable outlet is directed downwards for ideal orientation and water protection.

What is the required supply voltage?

The EOX FL 100 must be connected to a DC voltage source of 6-48 V / 3W. Connection to an AC voltage source (e.g. dynamo) is not permitted.

Can I use this light on a speed pedelec?

No, the EOX FL 100 is exclusively intended for pedal-assist bicycles (e-bikes). It is not approved for vehicles subject to type approval (speed pedelecs).

How do I correctly adjust the light beam?

Loosen the bracket screw, adjust the light so as not to dazzle oncoming traffic, then tighten firmly. On a flat road, the horizontal edge of the light should be visible on the road surface.

What to do if the light does not work?

Check the electrical connections, battery voltage, and that the light is not misadjusted. If the problem persists, contact a bike dealer.

Can I use a different bracket than the one supplied?

No, use exclusively the supplied bracket. If other brackets are used, no guarantee can be given for the safety of the attachment.

How do I connect the cable to the battery?

Use the double cable built into the unit: black wire = -, blue wire = +. Do not cut the cable completely, but shorten it to the required length. Tighten the supplied connectors firmly on the flat side using pliers.

Can the light be used with a dynamo?

No, the EOX FL 100 must only be connected to a DC voltage source. Connection to a dynamo (AC voltage) is not permitted.

How to avoid interference with a wireless bike computer?

The electronics of wireless computers and LED lights can interfere. To reduce interference, increase the distance between the light and the computer, and reduce the distance between the computer's transmitter and receiver.

What is the legal mounting height in Germany?

According to StVZO, the mounting height for lights and reflectors must be between 400 and 1200 mm.

USER MANUAL EOX FL 100 SIGMA

The EOX® FL 100 headlight is intended exclusively for bicycles with pedal assistance (e-bikes).

Not permitted for vehicles that require registration (fast e-bikes).

These instructions for use are intended for users with knowledge and experience in the assembly and installation of bicycle components.

Safety instructions

• WARNING! Never look directly into the bicycle headlight when it is switched on.
• The EOX® FL 100 should never be covered.
• Ensure that the EOX® FL 100 is properly mounted and aligned.
• Wireless bike computer: The electronics of wireless bike computers and LED headlights can interfere with each other. A reduction in interference can be achieved by assuring the greatest possible distance between the headlight and the cycle computer, as well as the smallest possible distance between the transmitter and receiver of the cycle computer.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure that the EOx® FL 100 is properly installed and aligned. For headlights with a separate reflector 3, ensure that it is aligned perpendicular to the road. On a completely flat road, the horizontal light edge must always be visible on the road!

The required installation height for headlights and reflectors in Germany is between 400 and 1200mm . Further information can be found in the StVZ0. If necessary, you can also contact a bicycle retailer in your area. Make sure that the EOX® FL 100 is positioned and aligned so that oncoming traffic is not blinded.

WARNING! To avoid falls, accidents and serious injuries, only use the included mounting bracket ② (fork bracket).

NOTE: Never mount brackets on saddle rails!

NOTE: Never mount brackets on conical components!

WARNING! Do not use the bicycle if the light beam of your EOX® FL 100 is misaligned or if the EOX® FL 100 is too loose.

Only adjust or lock the EOX® FL 100 when the bike is stationary. Blinding oncoming traffic can lead to accidents. Before aligning the EOX® FL 100, first loosen the screw on the bracket. Make sure that this screw is then tightened again so that neither the screw nor the headlight can come loose or move on their own.

2 MOUNTING ON THE FORK CROWN

Securely attach the EOX® FL 100 to the bike using the enclosed bracket.

NOTE: If other brackets are used, no guarantee can be given for secure attachment.

First loosen the existing screw on the fork crown of your bike. Insert this screw through the screw hole provided at the lower end of the bracket and then tighten it again so that the EOx® FL 100 cannot come loose or move by itself.

WARNING! Make sure that the cable exit on the EOX® FL 100 always points straight down. This is the only way to ensure that the light image of the EOX® FL 100 is ideally aligned and the headlight is protected from water in the best possible way.

CONNECTION

Headlight exclusively for connection to a DC voltage source of 6 - 48V / 3W, e.g. on an e-bike battery. Connection to an alternating voltage source (e.g. dynamo) is not permitted! The EOx® FL 100 requires at least 3W nominal power.

The connection of the EOx FL 100 is only permitted on vehicles in which it is ensured that electricity is still available to supply the lighting system for at least 2 hours after the battery has been switched off due to discharge.

To connect to an e-bike battery, the internally mounted double cable (black wire = -, blue wire = +) must be used.

Do not cut off the cable completely, just shorten it to the required length.

IMPORTANT: Please press the supplied cable connectors on the flat side FIRMLY together with pliers!
