How to set up my Asus Lyra MAPAC2200 router?

You can configure your router via the free mobile app ASUS Lyra or via the web interface. For the app, download it, open it, and follow the instructions. Make sure your device supports Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE). For the interface, connect to the "ASUS_XX_AMAPS" Wi-Fi network and go to http://router.asus.com.

What should I do if my Lyra's indicator turns red?

A red indicator indicates a loss of connection with the first Lyra Trio device. Move the device closer to the main node and check that it is powered on. If the problem persists, reset the device by pressing the reset button.

How to add a second Lyra device to my network?

You can add an additional device via the app: open the Lyra app, click the '+' icon in the top right, then select 'Add Lyra device to current network'. Or use the pairing button: press the button on the first device until the indicator flashes blue, then on the second until it becomes solid light blue.

Can I use my Lyra router outdoors?

No, the Lyra MAPAC2200 router is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose it to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures. The recommended ambient temperature is between 0°C and 40°C.

What do the different LED indicator colors mean?

The indicator can display several colors: solid light blue: everything is fine; red: loss of connection with the main node; yellow: loss of internet connection (check the modem cable); solid white: the device is ready for setup.

Is the router compatible with fiber optic?

Yes, the Lyra MAPAC2200 router is compatible with most internet connections, including fiber optic, cable, and DSL. Simply connect the Ethernet cable provided between the modem and the first Lyra node.

How to reset my Lyra device to factory settings?

To reset the device, locate the reset button (usually on the back or bottom). Press and hold it for about 10 seconds until the indicator flashes. Factory settings will be restored.

What is the maximum distance between two Lyra nodes?

The optimal distance depends on the environment. Indoors, it is recommended to place nodes 10-20 meters apart for uniform coverage. Thick walls and interference may reduce the range.

Can I use the router with a VPN?

Yes, the router's management interface allows configuring VPN connections (e.g., PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN). Log in to the interface via http://router.asus.com and look for VPN settings in the advanced menu.

What if the ASUS Lyra app does not find my device?

Check that your mobile device is connected to the "ASUS_XX_AMAPS" Wi-Fi network (no password) and that Bluetooth is enabled. Also ensure the router is powered on and its indicator is solid white. Restart the app and device if necessary.

1 Connect Primary Lyra Trio to Modem

Unplug your cable / DSL modem*. Remove the battery if it has one.

• If you are using DSL for internet, you will need a username/password from your Internet service provider (ISP) to properly configure your router.

Connect your modem to Lyra Trio with the network cable provided.
3 Power on your cable / DSL modem, and check your cable / DSL modem LED lights to ensure the connection is active.
Plug in the power adapter to Lyra Trio and wait until the LED turns solid white to ensure that your Lyra Trio is ready for setup.

METHOD 1 Through the App

Download the free ASUS Lyra app.

Launch the ASUS Lyra app on your mobile device, and follow the instructions in just a few moments.

• Make sure your device supports BLE, Bluetooth 4.0 or above.

METHOD 2 Through the Web GUI

Connect PC/NB to your Lyra Trio via WiFi "ASUS_XX_AMAPS". Open a web browser. You will be redirected to the ASUS Setup Wizard. If not, navigate to http://router.asus.com.

Adding other Lyra Trio to current network

METHOD 1 Through the App

Launch Lyra app and click the "+" icon on the upper right corner, then choose Add Lyra to current network and follow the instructions to complete.

METHOD 2 Through the Pair Button

Press the Pair button on the Primary Lyra Trio until the LED starts to blink blue light.
Press the Pair button on the second Lyra Trio until the LED starts to blink blue, then turns solid light cyan, indicating the pairing process is completed.

• Pairing feature only works with the Primary Lyra Trio device connecting to modem.
• While setting up through Web GUI, ensure that you pair other Lyra Trio hub(s) with the Primary Lyra Trio using the Pair button.

Lost connection to the primary Lyra Trio. Move it closer.
