How to disassemble the whisk of the BOSCH Multitalent 8 MC812M865 food processor for cleaning?
Frequently Asked Questions - 05/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

To properly clean the whisk of your BOSCH Multitalent 8 MC812M865 food processor, it is necessary to disassemble it. Before any intervention, make sure that the device is unplugged from the power outlet for your safety. Rinse all parts under running water immediately after use.

Here are the steps to disassemble the whisk:

  • Step 1: Remove the whisk from the drive by gently pulling it down.
  • Step 2: Push the safety tab and lift the drive cover. This allows access to the inside of the drive mechanism.
  • Step 3: Remove the two gears from the drive housing. Carefully clean each gear with a soft brush to remove food residues and deposits.
  • Step 4: After cleaning and completely drying all parts, reassemble them in the reverse order of disassembly. Ensure that the gears are properly positioned before closing the drive cover.

For cleaning the whisk itself, rinse it under running water with a bit of dish soap if necessary. You can use a soft brush to remove any stuck food traces. The whisk can also be cleaned in the dishwasher if you wish.

An important point: disassembling the accessories before cleaning means proceeding in the reverse order of insertion. After complete cleaning, allow all parts to dry completely or wipe them until they are completely dry before reassembling and putting the device back into service.

How to properly attach the grater to the BOSCH Multitalent 8 MC812M865 robot?
Frequently Asked Questions - 04/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

To properly attach the grating disc to your BOSCH Multitalent 8 MC812M865 robot, it is essential to follow the exact order of operations. Start by turning off and unplugging the device, then place the mixing bowl in position according to the marker (.) marked on the bowl. Next, turn the bowl clockwise until it stops to lock it in place.

Place the drive shaft on the robot's drive. Then remove the grating disc from its protective case. Position the disc on the disc holder with the desired side facing up (you have several discs: reversible coarse/fine, medium-fine, or coarse depending on the type of food to be processed). Alignment is crucial: the drive pivots of the disc holder must engage precisely in the holes of the disc designed for this purpose, and the disc must press firmly against the side pin of the disc holder.

Place the disc holder with a slight rotation on the drive shaft until it clicks into place. Then place the lid with the pusher respecting the marker (.), and turn the lid clockwise until it stops to secure it permanently. Now plug the plug into the power outlet and set the rotary switch to the desired position before adding the food to be grated.

Important: before any handling, ensure that the device is turned off and unplugged to avoid any risk of injury. Proper attachment ensures that processed foods do not risk reaching the lower edge of the disc holder and that the disc operates safely and efficiently.

Why does the grater of the BOSCH Multitalent 8 MC812M865 robot derail during use?
Frequently Asked Questions - 04/02/2026
Response Notice-Facile

If the grating disc of your BOSCH Multitalent 8 MC812M865 robot derails or skips during use, several installation and usage points should be checked as a priority.

Check the disc mounting: The disc must be correctly positioned on the disc holder to function. Follow these precise steps: first, take the disc out of its protective case and place it on the disc holder. Then, turn the desired side of the grating disc upwards. Position the disc on the disc holder so that the drive pivots of the disc holder engage in the holes of the disc designed for this purpose. The disc must correctly apply to the lateral pin of the disc holder. Finally, place the disc holder with a slight rotation on the drive shaft. If any of these steps are omitted or poorly executed, the disc may derail.

Check the complete assembly: Ensure that the lid is completely closed clockwise until it stops. A partially closed lid may prevent the disc holder from locking properly, causing the disc to derail. Also, check that the drive shaft is properly in place before installing the disc holder.

Wear of parts: Over time, the disc support ring or the disc holder may wear out or show plastic cracks. Check the condition of these parts, especially the drive pivots and the lateral pin. If you notice deformation or wear, the affected part (such as the disc support ring, reference 00750906) must be replaced with an original BOSCH part.

Choice of foods: Some foods that are too hard or too soft can create excessive resistance that causes the disc to derail. Use the reversible grating disc for standard vegetables, fruits, and cheese (except parmesan). The medium-fine grating disc is suitable for raw potatoes and hard cheese. Follow the recommended food type for each disc.

Usage technique: Use the provided pusher to advance the food with a light pressure. Too much pressure can overload the accessory and cause a derailment. Cut the food into appropriate pieces before introducing them.

Immediate cleaning: Clean all parts immediately after use to prevent food residues from drying and damaging the mechanisms. Embedded residues can hinder the engagement of the pivots.

If the problem persists after following these checks, contact BOSCH customer service, as the disc or disc holder may be damaged and require replacement.

Dicer

BOSCH Multitalent 8 MC812M865 - Dicer - 1

Dicer for cutting food into cubes.

△ Risk of injury from sharp blades/rotating drive!

Never reach into the attached dicer! Do not remove/attach the dicer until the drive is at a standstill.

When disassembling/assembling the dicer, grasp the slicing disc by the plastic stud in the centre only.

Guidelines for usage

The dicer is only suitable for cutting potatoes (raw or boiled), carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, onions, bananas, apples, pears, strawberries, melons, kiwifruit, eggs, soft sausage (e.g. mortadella), boiled or fried boneless poultry meat. - Very soft cheese (e.g. mozzarella, sheep's cheese) cannot be processed. In the case of sliced cheese (e.g. Gouda) and hard cheese (e.g. Emmental), the quantity processed in one cycle must not exceed 3 kg. Before processing pip and stone fruit (apples, peaches, etc.), remove the pips or stones. Before processing boiled or fried meat, remove the bones. Food must not be frozen.

Caution!

If these guidelines are not observed, the dicer including the cutting grid and the rotating blade may be damaged. If the dicer is not used as intended, is modified or used improperly, Robert Bosch Hausgeräte GmbH cannot assume liability for any resulting damage. Also excluded is liability for damage (e.g. blunt or deformed blades) which result from processing unapproved food.

Important information:

Food must not contain any bones, pips or other solid constituents. - Fruit/vegetables should not be too ripe as the juice may otherwise escape. - Leave cooked food to cool down before dicing it as it will then be firmer and the dicing result will be better. The length of the cubes can be influenced by increasing or reducing the pressure on the pusher when pushing down. The dicer will not operate until the lid is screwed on tight.

Select the operating speed depending on the food to be diced.

Caution!

When working with the dicer, never use intermittent operation (Pulse).

Low operating speed (min):

boiled potatoes, carrots, eggs, cucumbers, bananas, strawberries, melons.

Medium operating speed:

raw potatoes and carrots, soft sausage (e.g. mortadella), sliced cheese, hard cheese, peppers, tomatoes, onions, apples, kiwifruit.

→Fig.

  1. Insert the cutting grid in the base holder. Observe the recesses.
  2. Insert the slicing disc with the blade guard in the base holder.
  3. Press in the 3 catches until they engage.
  4. Place drive shaft 2 on the drive.
