Screw the support bar into place

Unscrew the controls to prepare the installation of the frame holder on the support bar. 19EN Bicycle holder, towbar mounted Preparation s – Tighten the frame holder to slacken of the mounting. Pressing the clamp together at the same time can help. – Clamp the mounting around the support bar, and rel ease the springs. Note! The spring in the frame holder has high sprung resistance, so mind your fingers. – Untwist the mountings for the number plate from the underside of the cycle holder. – Install the number plate on the cycle holder. – Press into the mountings that were removed previously. 20Bicycle holder, towbar mounted EN Mountingonthecar – Unlock and pull back the lock bracket on the tensioner arm. – Check the symbol on the striker plate. – Fold the tensioner arm up. – Wipe dirt and grease from the tow hoo k. – Install the bicycle holder on the t owbar. – Fold the tensioner arm down completely. Note! There must be a distance of at least 65 mm betwee n the bumper and the centre of the towing ball. Take care not to damage t he bumpe r. 21EN Bicycle holder, towbar mounted Mounting on the car – Move the striker plate forward, lock and remove the key. – Check the symbol o n t he striker plate. – Connect in the electrical socket in the car. Note! If the car has a 7-pin electrical socke

Overlap the bicycles if more than one are to be loaded on the bicycle holder, with the heaviest bicycle innermost. – Check that the handlebar of the innermost bicycle does not lie against the tailgate of the car. If necessary, slacken off the handlebars and turn them or move the bicycle out one position. Note! Remember that the exhaust gases from the car are hot and can affect the bicycle holder or i ts load. T his especially applies to plastic parts. If necessary, you should route the exhaust gases away fr om the bicycle holder. Securing the bicycle – Secure th e bicycle to the frame holder as illustrated. 23EN Bicycle holder, towbar mounted Transportation. – Secure both wheels using the strap by pulling the tensioner handle. – Thread the excess strap through the spokes. Removing the bicycle – Release the strap by pressing the tensioner. – Slackenofftheknobontheframe holder. – In order to open the tailgate on five doors cars, the bicycle holder can be angled backwards. 24Bicycle holder, towbar mounted EN Transportation. – Hold the support bar. – Depress the pedal and pull the bicycle holder towards you. – Fold the bicycle holder until it locks with a clear click. – Check that the bicycle holder is properly locked in the folded up position. 25EN Bicycle holder, towbar mounted Adjustment Opening angle – The bicycle holder can be angled to facilitate opening the boot lid.
