How do I start my Suntec Motion 70+ air conditioner?

Plug in the device: a beep sounds and the screen lights up in standby mode. Press the POWER button to start in cooling mode (25 °C by default). You can then change mode with the MODE button (COOL, DEHUM, FAN) and adjust the temperature with TEMP+ and TEMP-.

How to clean the air filter?

The filter should be cleaned every 14 days. Turn off and unplug the device. Open the front grille, remove the filter and clean it with warm water (no harsh detergent). Let it dry completely in the open air (not in the sun) before reinstalling.

What to do if error code E0 or E2 appears?

Code E0 indicates a faulty ambient temperature sensor: contact customer service. Code E2 signals a defective water pump: restart the device after turning it off for a few minutes. If the error persists, call a professional.

Why is the water tank indicator blinking?

This means the internal water tank is full. The device stops automatically. To empty the water, unplug the device, remove the drain plug located at the bottom, and let the water flow into a container. Screw the plug back on before restarting.

My air conditioner is not cooling enough, what could be the causes?

Check the following: windows and doors closed, no heat-emitting appliances nearby, exhaust hose correctly installed and not blocked, desired temperature low enough (16-31 °C) and air filter clean. If the problem persists, consult the manual.

How to set the timer?

For delayed start: device off, press TIMER, set the hours (0-24) with TEMP+/TEMP-, then press TIMER again to confirm. For delayed stop: device running, same procedure. The TIMER indicator lights up. To cancel, press TIMER again.

How to prepare the device for long-term storage?

After use, empty the water tank. Set the device to FAN mode and hold the button for 5 seconds until it switches to low fan. Let it run like this for half a day to dry the inside. Turn off, unplug, coil the cable, remove the hose, and store everything in a dry place. Remove the remote control batteries.

The remote control does not work, what should I do?

Check that the batteries are inserted correctly (AAA type, not supplied) and that they are not dead. Point the remote at the device's receiver. If the problem persists, replace the batteries or contact customer service.

Why is my air conditioner making noise?

Normal noise comes from refrigerant flow, compressor, and ventilation. If the noise is abnormal, check that the device is placed on a flat, stable surface (non-sloping floor). A rattling noise may also come from a poorly fixed exhaust hose.

Can I use a longer extension hose?

Yes, Suntec offers the Air-Extension-Kit (ref. 4250058312105) which allows extending the air outlet hose up to 5 meters thanks to a special impeller. This allows cooling more distant rooms without loss of efficiency.

Safety instruction

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory and mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• The unit may not be connected to a defective outlet. Please make sure before using that the unit has been properly installed.
• The unit has to be placed within the reach of a power outlet.
  • The unit is for indoor use only.
• Do not use the unit near open fire sources.
• Do not use the unit on a place where it could be splashed with an oil or water.
• Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight.
• Do not use the unit near bath, shower or swimming pool.
• Never insert fingers, pencils or other objects into the unit if the power cord is plugged, and especially not during operation. Warn your children against these dangers.
• This local air conditioner must be stored and transported upright, otherwise you may cause irreparable compressor damage. In case of doubt let the unit rest for at least 24 hours before you start it.
• Before cleaning the unit, turn it off and unplug the power cord.
• Before replacing the unit please make sure that the power cord is not plugged in and move it slowly.
• Empty the water tank before transporting the local air conditioner.

• Do not cover the unit and make sure that the air inlet and outlet are not blocked.

• The unit has to be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.

• Please make sure that the unit stands upright.
  • The unit should have a distance of 30 cm from other objects, otherwise they can strongly influence the operation of the device.
• You should never repair your local air conditioner by yourself. Please contact your dealer if the unit needs to be repaired.
  • In case of breakdown turn off the unit (only by the POWER button located on the control panel) and contact your dealer.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

Installation

Warning: Let the unit rest for at least 24 hours before you start it. The unit can be easily moved between rooms, but please note the following:

Installation of the exhaust hose, Fig. 1 and 2

1) Place the unit near a power outlet.
2) Attach the rounded fixing clip at the one side of the exhaust hose and the square clip at the other side.
3) Attach the flat clip to the fitting opening at the back of the unit.
4) Put the other side of the exhaust hose to the outside.
5) Plug the power cord into the outlet (220-240V, 50 Hz).

Functions

This mobile local air conditioner has following functions: COOL, DEHUM, FAN.

The fan has two speeds: LOW and HIGH.

Possible settings: 16-31°C, 24h timer, overheat protection function.

Control panel

1. After starting the unit you can hear a start signal, the unit will be automatically set in a standby mode.

2. Power button: Once you press this button, the model switches to cooling mode (temperature 25° C). By default, the lowest fan speed is set. Press the Power button again, the unit will switch off and you will hear the final signal.

3. Cooling mode

4. Press the MODE button until "Cool" appears on the display.

5. Press TEMP + or TEMP - to adjust the temperature (16° C-31° C).

6. Press the SPEED button to adjust the fan speed.

7. Dehumidifying mode

8. Press the MODE button until the indicator light shows "DEHUM".

9. The fan speed is automatically set to "low".

10. Fan

11. Press the MODE button until the indicator light shows "FAN".

12. Press the SPEED button to adjust the fan speed.

13. Timer

Timer On:

• Turn off the unit. Press the TIMER button and set the desired waiting time for automatic system start (use buttons "Temp -" and "Temp +").
• The adjusted time appears on the display.
• Press the TIMER button to save the settings. The indicator light "Timer" is on.
• The unit will automatically turn on by the adjusted time.
• You can reset the settings anytime. Press the TIMER button to deactivate the timer.

Timer Off:

- You can set the timer to turn off the unit by the fixed time.

- Turn on the unit. Press the TIMER button and set the time, by which the unit has to turn off (use buttons "Temp -" and "Temp +").

- Press the TIMER button to save the runtime. The indicator light for "timer" indicator lights.

Remote control

1. POWER: Power on or off.
2. MODE: Press the button to select cooling, dehumidifying or fan mode.
3. TEMP+: Press the button to increase the temperature.
4. TEMP-: Press the button to decrease the temperature.
5. TIMER: Press the button to turn on or off the timer.
6. SPEED: Press the button to adjust the fan speed.

Internal Water Tank Full Alarm Function

The inner water tank of the local air conditioner has a water level safety switch, which controls the water level. If the water tank is full, the water level indicator lights on the control panel. To empty the water tank remove a rubber stopper on the bottom and let the water leak in a container.

1) Before starting cleaning or maintenance, turn the power off by pressing the POWER button, wait a few minutes and then unplug the power cord from the outlet.
2) Do not clean the local air conditioner with water.
3) If the unit is damaged, please contact your dealer immediately.

4) Surface cleaning

Clean the unit using a damp cloth, and then wipe it using a dry cloth. Do not use chemical solvents (such as gasoline, alcohol). The surface and the entire housing could be damaged.

5) Air filter cleaning

Clean the air filter regularly. If the air filter is clogged with dust, the efficiency of the device could be reduced.

1) Open the air outlet and remove the filter.
2) Wash the air filter by submersion into warm water (about 40° C) with neutral detergent, rinse it under running water and dry it with a soft cloth.
3) Install air filter carefully after cleaning and drying.

Storage

1. Pull the power plug and empty the water tank. Then set the device into the operating mode. Press the fan button and hold it for a. 5 seconds until the device switches to low fan speed. Let the unit run in this mode for half a day until the inner construction has dried. Thus, it will not become mouldy.
2. Turn off the unit and unplug the power cord.
3. Coil the cord and attach it to the holder.
4. Disconnect the exhaust tubing from the device and keep it safe.
5. Put the unit into a box and bring it to a dry place.
6. Remove the batteries from the remote control and keep them safe as well.

Troubleshooting

Don't repair or disassemble the unit by yourself, unsuitable repair may make the quality-protected card in vain, and even cause damage to the user or his/her possession.

Problems	Cause	Solution
1. The unit does not turn on when you press the Power button.	Power cord is not plugged.	Insert the plug into the socket and turn on the unit.
	Water full indicator lamp blinks.	Empty the water tank.
	Room temperature is higher or lower than the adjusted temperature.	Reset the temperature adjustment.
2. The unit does not cool properly.	Windows and doors are open.	Close all windows and doors.
	Another heat source in the room.	Remove the heat source.
	Exhaust hose is disconnected or blocked.	Connect or clean exhaust hose.
	The adjusted temperature is too high.	Reset temperature adjustment, set the desirable temperature (16°C-31°C)
	Air inlet is blocked by smth.	Clean the blocked place.
3. The unit switches off automatically.	Overheat protection (the unit switches off automatically when the temperature at the air outlet exceeds 70°C).	Restart the unit and adjust lower temperature.
4. Noise	The unit is not on a flat surface.	Place the unit on a hard flat surface (reduces noise).
	You hear refrigerant flowing.	That is normal.
5. E0 error	This error message indicates too high ambient temperature. Please observe the instructions for the optimal operation of your MOTION unit. It can also be a temporary error measurement between the input and the output temperature.	In this case turn off the unit and restart it after 30 minutes again. If the error occurs for long, the unit must be checked by your dealer.
6. E2 error	Water tank is full.	Empty the water tank.
