Cooking
Here, we give some tips for cooking in microwave mode.
- Foodstuffs from the refrigerator require a little longer to cook than food at room temperature.
- The more compact the food is, the longer the time to cook. For example, a bigger piece of meat takes longer to cook than the same amount of meat cut into strips.
- Parboil large amounts at maximum power. Finally cook them evenly at medium power.
- Spread the food over as great an area as possible on the ovenware. Keep differences in height to a minimum.
- Lay the thin ends of foods with different thicknesses (e.g. chicken drumsticks or fish fillets) towards the inside or overlap them.
- Smaller amounts cook faster than larger. The rule of thumb says:
- Double the amount = almost double time to cook
-
Half the amount = half the time
-
If you do not know the time required to dish, then estimate about one minute for e 100 g.
- Cover all food in the microwave that you cover on the hob.
• Using a lid prevents the food from drying
• The following objects are suitable for a cov - an upturned plate
- baking paper
- Microwave foil.
Cook foods that are to have a crust without
- Keep to the suggested values in the follow tables or in recipes.
Keep an eye on the oven while cooking.
