3. OPERATION
3.1 Before first use
- Pre-cleaning of the mixing blade and jug: Use warm water to clean the mixing blade assembly and jug.
- Choose the ingredients in advance and place them in a mixing glass to freeze: Select the appropriate ingredients according to the recipes and personal taste preferences used in the jug for preparation. After preparation, place the jug in the freezer to freeze. The freezing time should be at least 24 hours (recommended temperature -18°C).
- Place the appliance on a level and stable surface.
3.2 General warnings and advice
- When the appliance is connected to the power supply, the power touch icon on the machine lights up.
- This machine has two positions:
Storage: the machine is compressed to occupy less space.
Operation: the machine is raised to start the preparation process. - If the mixing blade assembly, jug or lid are not properly installed and closed, the indicator light and the number in the display will flash. The refrigerator will not operate until everything is correctly positioned. Once installed, the lights will stop flashing.
- It is NOT a blender!
DO NOT process solid ice blocks or ice cubes alone.
DO NOT prepare recipes directly with hard, loose ingredients, such as frozen fruit.
The fruit should first be crushed to release its juice or mixed with other ingredients before freezing the mixture in the jug. - Make sure the jug is on a level surface during freezing. The surface of the frozen mixture should be flat and parallel to the base of the jug.
- For best results, freeze the mixture in the jug for at least 24 hours at a temperature of -18°C or below.
-
The time shown on the time display is a guideline and may vary depending on the hardness of the frozen mixture.
-
If the result is too liquid, you can store the jug (with its lid) in the freezer for a while until the desired texture is reached.
- If the result is crumbly or not creamy enough, use the RE-SPIN function (activated with the RE-SPIN/MIX-IN touch icon) to reprocess and improve the texture.
- The proportion of fat and ingredients in your recipe significantly affects the final texture. Too much fat may result in a more liquid result; too little fat may result in a less creamy or more frosty texture.
- It is normal for the jug to become slightly scratched from regular use, avoid preparing recipes and introducing metal accessories for preparation. Do not clean with abrasive cloths.
- It is normal for the inside of the jug to show slight marks or scratches with regular use.
- To minimize scratches, avoid using metal utensils to prepare or serve the mixture directly from the jug.
- Do not use scouring pads or abrasive cloths to clean the jug.
3.3 Recipe preparation and use of the jug
The jug includes specific markings that will guide you to prepare two different types of recipes, depending on the desired texture:
SPOON IT (Texture for spoon)
- This mode is suitable for preparing ice creams, sorbets and other recipes with a dense texture, designed to be eaten with a spoon.
- Before freezing: Pour the base mixture into the jug up to the line marked MAX FILL. Do not exceed this line. Fig. 3
- Freeze the jug with the mixture for the recommended time.
DRINK IT (Drinkable Texture)
- This mode is ideal for creating milkshakes, smoothies and other cold beverages that are drunk directly or through a straw.
- Before freezing: Pour the base mixture into the jug only up to the specific line marked FREEZE FILL, leaving a portion of the volume free to add a portion of liquid before processing the frozen jug.
- After freezing and just before processing: Add a liquid (such as milk, juice, etc.) up to one of the percentage (%) lines. These marks (with 3 percentage levels) will help you achieve the desired consistency for your beverage. Fig. 4
NOTE:
If you wish, you may freeze above the FREEZE MAX line, this is a guideline but is not limiting. Never exceed the MAX FILL line.
