Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.
• It is important to make sure all users are familiar with the device operation and safety features to prevent faults and accidents.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.

• Do not keep the door open for too long, as doing so may cause a significant temperature increase in the appliance compartment.

• Regularly clean the surfaces that come into contact with wine and the accessible draining systems.

• If the appliance is left empty for long periods of time, unplug it from the mains, defrost it, clean it, dry it, and leave the door open to prevent internal mould growth.

• This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for the preservation of wine.

• This appliance is not suitable for freezing food.
• Use this appliance for the purposes described in this manual. Misuse or improper use can endanger both the appliance and the user.
• WARNING: if the interior light is damaged, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not try to repair it on your own.
• WARNING: when positioning the appliance, make sure the power cable does not get trapped or damaged. A crushed or damaged connector may heat up and cause a fire.
• WARNING: do not attach multi-socket adaptors or multiple power supplies to the rear part of the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance with an extension lead or a multi-socket adaptor. Make sure the appliance is plugged in directly to a power supply.

• Air must flow around the appliance. Lack of air leads to overheating.

• Do not expose the electrical connections to water or humidity. Make sure your hands are dry before touching or switching on the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance if the cable, plug, or frame is damaged or if it is malfunctioning, has been dropped, or damaged.
• Place the appliance on a dry, stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
• If the cable or any other part of the appliance is damaged, contact Cecotec's Technical Support Service to replace it.
• Do not try to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
• Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out according to this instruction manual to make sure the appliance operates properly.

Temperature range

- The appliance temperature range information can be found on its marking. It indicates the optimum room temperature for proper operation of the appliance.

- Bearing in mind the limiting values of the room temperature

range for the climates for which the cooling appliance is designed and that internal temperatures may be affected by factors such as the location of the cooling appliance, room temperature and frequency of door opening, it may be necessary to modify the setting of any temperature-control device according to these factors.

- If the appliance is operated in an environment other than the specified climate type (i.e. beyond the rated ambient temperature range), it may not be able to maintain the desired compartment temperatures.

Refrigerant

• Isobutane refrigerant (R600a), contained within the refrigeration circuit of the appliance, is a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility; however, it is flammable. Make sure that no components of the refrigeration circuit have been damaged during the transport and installation of the appliance.
• WARNING: the refrigerant and the insulator gas are flammable. When disposing of the appliance, only dispose of it at an authorised waste-disposal facility. Do not expose it to flames.
• WARNING: the appliance contains refrigerant and gases in the insulation. The appliance and gases must be disposed of professionally, as they may cause injuries to eyes or ignition. Make sure the refrigeration-circuit pipe is not damaged before disposing of it correctly.

- This symbol means: WARNING: risk of fire. - If the refrigeration circuit is damaged:

- Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.

- Completely air the room where the appliance is located.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. INSTALLATION

• Do not tilt the wine cooler more than 45° .
• The wine cooler must be placed on a flat, stable, and dry surface. Do not place it on top of the foam protection piece provided in the packaging.

• Do not place the wine cooler in a damp place.

• Do not place the wine cooler in a place where it can freeze.

• Do not place the wine cooler outdoors, as it must not be exposed to direct sunlight or rain.
• Let the wine cooler operate for one hour before inserting the wine bottles.

The wine cooler is designed to be built-in or to be placed directly on the floor.

In figure 2, you can see the dimensions required to fit the wine cooler.

The wine cooler is equipped with a pair of brackets at the top (②) and bottom. Fig. 3

Note:

These brackets may not be necessary for installation. If this is the case, remove them.

If the size of the cabinet opening into which the wine cooler is to be fitted is larger than the appliance, you can fix 4 screws (①, ST4.0*13) (supplied in a plastic bag) into the wooden plate inside the cabinet. Fig. 3

In this way, the wine cooler will be built-in and fixed.

Note:

Cecotec is not responsible for any damage to the door or other parts during operation if you do not follow these instructions for fixing the wine cooler to the cabinet.

Cleaning the wine cooler

Before connecting the wine cooler to the mains, clean the inside of the appliance and check that the drainpipe is correctly connected. For more information, please refer to the “Cleaning and maintenance” section.

Levelling the wine cooler

Before connecting it to the mains, place it on a sturdy, dry surface and wait 30 minutes.

Connecting the wine cooler to the mains

When you connect the wine cooler to the mains, the inside of the appliance will start to cool down. After one hour, it should be completely cool, if not, check if it is properly connected.

4. OPERATION

All icons will not work if the lock is activated. Make sure it is not activated. Fig.4

ON/OFF

1. If you press and hold this icon for 3 seconds, the wine cooler will enter standby mode.
2. Repeat this action to exit standby mode.

Light

Press this icon to switch the inside light on and off. This function is not available in standby mode.

Changing zones

Press this icon to switch to the zone whose temperature you wish to adjust. If you press it again, the LED display of the selected zone will flash. Press the up or down arrow icon to select the temperature. If you press this icon again, you will change the zone.

Up arrow

If you press this icon once, the display will flash and show the set temperature. If you press it again, you will be able to set the temperature. Each press will increase it by 1° C. The temperature setting will be confirmed if 5 seconds pass without any operation being performed. When this happens, the temperature will stop flashing. The display will return to show the current temperature inside the wine cooler.

Down arrow

If you press this icon once, the display will flash and show the set temperature. If you press it again, you will be able to set the temperature. Each press will decrease it by 1° C. The temperature setting will be confirmed if 5 seconds pass without any operation being performed. When this happens, the temperature will stop flashing. The display will return to show the current temperature inside the wine cooler.

Child lock function (icons combination)

To activate this function, press and hold the on/off icon and the light icon at the same time for 3 seconds.

To deactivate it, press and hold these icons again at the same time for 3 seconds.

¹ F Change of temperature unit (degrees Fahrenheit/Celsius)

You can change the temperature unit shown on the display from Fahrenheit to Celsius or vice versa. To do this, press and hold this icon for 2 seconds.

Door opening icon

Shortly press this icon on the top of the door, its light will start flashing. The door will now open, and the light will stop flashing.

Warning:

1. The temperature of both zones must be between 5 and 22°C. The temperature of the bottom zone may only be higher or equal to that of the top zone.
2. Beep: if a fault occurs, a beep will sound. To stop the beeping, press any icon.

3. Error code:

4. If a fault occurs in the temperature sensor of the top zone, one of the following codes will be displayed: E1 if the circuit is open; E2 if a short circuit has occurred.

5. If a fault occurs in the defrost sensor, one of the following codes will be displayed: E3 if the circuit is open; E4 if a short circuit has occurred.
6. If a fault occurs in the temperature sensor of the bottom zone, one of the following codes will be displayed: E5 if the circuit is open; E6 if a short circuit has occurred.

Wine storage

• This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for wine preservation.
• It is designed to store a maximum of 57 750-ml Bordeaux type bottles, following the layout shown in figure 5.
• You can store larger bottles. However, you must first ensure that they do not prevent the door from closing properly.
• Capacity will vary depending on the arrangement of bottles or their size.
• On each shelf, you can place one or two rows of bottles. It is not recommended that you place more than two rows of bottles per shelf.
• The shelves can be partially removed so that you can place your wine bottles easily.
• If any shelves are to be removed, open the door completely.
• If the wine cooler is going to be empty for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains, clean it and leave the door open for ventilation.
• The table below shows the recommended storage temperature for each type of beverage:

NOTE:

These are approximate values, as temperature requirements may vary from wine to wine. Always follow the wine maker's indications.

• Exposure to light, vibrations, or fluctuations in temperature and humidity can cause the wine to spoil. When properly stored, wines not only maintain their quality, but many improve in aroma, flavour, and complexity as they mature.
• Wines kept at higher temperatures age faster. Wines exposed to temperatures above 18 °C (64 °F) will lose flavour and aroma.

• If the wine is kept at too low a temperature, it can lead to the appearance of damaging deposits. A humidity of 60\~70% is ideal to prevent corks from shrinking.

• After opening a bottle of wine, the wine comes into contact with air. Therefore, it is best to store the rest of the bottle in an upright position to minimise the surface area of the wine that comes into contact with air.

• Once opened, the wine will be drinkable for two days in the case of whites or three days in the case of reds, provided that the bottle was resealed. Make sure the seal is tight by checking the stopper.
• In most wine shops you can buy special stoppers that keep sparkling wine and champagne bubbly for a day or two after opening.
• When you buy a bottle of wine, you should immediately store it in the wine cooler.
• Cheaper bottles of wine do not age as well as more expensive ones.
• To make the most of the aroma and flavour of the wine, never fill more than half a glass at a time. The shape of the glass helps in that regard as well. The size and shape of the wine glass will determine the intensity and complexity of the aroma. The stem should be long enough to avoid hand contact with the bowl of the glass and should be tulip-shaped or tapered at the top.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the wine cooler before cleaning.
• Wipe it with a soft cloth or damp sponge.
• Do not use organic solvents, alkaline detergents, boiling water, powder detergents, abrasive products, etc.
• Do not pour water inside the wine cooler.
• Regularly clean surfaces that come into contact with accessible drainage systems.

The following products may damage the finish of the wine cooler: alkaline detergents, organic solvents, brushes, and boiling water.

Power cut

Most power cuts last only a short time. To prevent drinks from spoiling during this time, avoid opening the door as much as possible. If the power cut lasts for a long time, take the necessary measures to ensure that the drinks do not spoil.

If you do not use the wine cooler for a long time

• If the wine cooler will not be used or will be empty for a long period of time, turn it off, let it defrost, clean it, dry it, and leave the door open to prevent mould growth.
• If you disconnect it from the mains or if there is a power cut, it will take 5 minutes to restart.

Moving the wine cooler

- First of all, switch off the wine cooler and disconnect it from the mains.

• Remove all bottles from inside.
• When moving it, do not tilt it more than 45° .

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

The wine cooler may malfunction during operation. Please check the list before contacting the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. You may be able to repair some faults yourself.

The wine cooler makes a lot of noise	Adjust the feet so that the wine cooler is level.
	Separate it a little from the walls.
You can hear a liquid flowing	This is normal. This is the refrigerant.
The wine cooler does not switch on	Make sure it is properly connected to the mains.Make sure to turn it on.
	In the event of a power cut, the compressor will restart after 5 minutes.
The compressor operates continuously	If the wine cooler does not cool, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
The door does not close properly	Over time, the door seal may harden and become deformed.Heat the seal with a hairdryer or a hot towel.You will notice that the seal softens, and you will be able to close the door properly.
The wine cooler does not cool sufficiently	Adjust the temperature.
	Keep the appliance away from any heat source or from direct sunlight.
	Do not open the door too often.
Bad smells are released	The first few times you use the wine cooler, it will give off a slight plastic smell. This is normal.
	Clean the inside of the wine cooler and allow it to air out.
There is water condensation on the door	Do not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than necessary.
	Do not select too low a temperature.
	If the room temperature is very high and humidity is present, condensation will occur.
The light does not work	Check the power supply.If the light does not work, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

Note:
If none of these situations match your problem, do not attempt to disassemble, or repair the appliance by yourself. Repairs carried out by unqualified people may result in injury or serious malfunctions. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. The repair must be carried out by an authorised technician, and you must use only original spare parts.
