Frequently Asked Questions - Conga Windroid W100 Station CECOTEC

Why is it essential to attach the safety cord before every use?
The safety cord prevents the robot from falling in case of loss of adhesion. It must be fixed to a solid point and its length must be less than the fall height to stop the device. Check its condition before and after each use.
Which charger should be used to recharge the robot?
Use exclusively the power supply unit provided with the device, reference RY72C240300M2. Another adapter could damage the battery or cause a fire.
Can the robot operate on frameless or very thin windows?
It is not recommended to use the robot on frameless windows or those with a thickness of less than 3 mm. Dirty or cracked windows can also reduce adhesion and scratch the surface.
How to clean the robot's microfiber cloths?
Remove the cloths from the base of the robot and wash them in warm water with a mild detergent. Let them air dry before reinstalling them. Do not use fabric softener as it may reduce their absorbency.
What to do if the robot falls or shows visible damage?
Stop using it immediately and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not attempt to repair the robot yourself, as opening the housing exposes you to the risk of electric shock.
Can the robot be used on surfaces other than glass?
The robot is suitable for smooth non-porous surfaces such as mirrors and tiles. It is not suitable for raw wood, porous surfaces, or floors with imperfections.
How to maintain the battery to extend its lifespan?
The battery is built-in and cannot be replaced. Charge it only with the provided adapter. Avoid fully discharging it and do not expose it to temperatures above 60 °C.
What safety precautions should be taken for children and pets?
This device can be used by children over 8 years of age under supervision. Children must not play with the robot. Keep batteries and cells out of their reach due to risk of ingestion.
What to do in case of battery liquid leakage?
If it comes into contact with skin, wash thoroughly with water and soap. If it comes into contact with eyes, rinse with clear water and seek medical attention immediately. Avoid any contact with mucous membranes.
Is the robot covered by a warranty?
Yes, it benefits from the legal warranty and after-sales service of Cecotec. Keep the purchase receipt and contact the official after-sales service in case of malfunction.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem descriptionSolutions
The robot slides down during operation.· Check if the glass surface has become slippery after several cleanings.· If the mop pad is too wet, it may cause slipping on glass with low friction coefficient. Replace it with a dry mop pad and continue cleaning.
Unexpected power cut.· The UPS system supplies power during the cut. The UPS backup time is 30 minutes and activates an alarm.· Remove the robot or restore power as soon as possible.
After cleaning, marks/streaks remain on the glass.· The mop pad is too dirty. Replace it and repeat the window cleaning process.· If the glass is very dirty, spray a small amount of glass cleaning agent evenly over the surface.
The robot stops in an elevated area, emits a sound and the indicator light flashes red.· Check for loose power connection. Then reconnect and press the Start/Pause button on the remote control to restart the robot.· Pull gently on the safety rope at an angle close to the glass to prevent it from falling.· Check for poor electrical contact or damage to the power cable.
When switching on and starting cleaning, the robot completes the process but does not return to the starting point.· After finishing, the robot returns to an area near the starting point within a radius of R < 30 cm.· You can use the directional buttons on the remote control to help the robot return exactly to the starting point.
The robot does not spray water.1) First use: internal water pipes may not be completely filled, causing temporary spray failure. This is normal and usually resolves after several spray cycles.29 Empty water tank: remove the robot from the glass and refill the tank with clean water.3) Ultrasonic nozzle obstructed by dust or water film: the ultrasonic nozzle may become temporarily blocked and prevent spraying. This is normal and usually resolves after several spray cycles. You can also gently clean the nozzle with a cotton bud.
The battery indicator lights on the base flash red, the robot has stopped working, and the red light flashes.Low base battery.• Remove the power cable from the rear compartment on the base and plug it into a power socket, then briefly press the Start/Pause button on the robot or on the remote control to resume operation.• After completing the cleaning process and removing the robot from the glass, continue charging the base until it is fully charged.

LED indicator lights and problem description

This section describes the statuses of the window cleaning robot's LED indicator light and the base's battery indicator light. Each colour and pattern (solid, flashing, alternating, or gradual on/off) indicates an operating, maintenance, or alert condition. Refer to the table to identify the condition and apply the recommended action before proceeding with cleaning.

LED indicator lightProblem descriptionSolutions
Blue and red light flashing alternatelyThe firmware is updating. The firmware is updating, wait for completion.
Flashing redAdapter shutdown error during operation.Check if the socket and cable connection port are correct or loose. Check if the adapter indicator light is on.
Pressure is low.1) Check that the mop pad is installed correctly according to the instructions.2) Check for protrusions on the glass. The surface must be smooth without projections.3) Check if the glass is curved, as air leakage may occur when cleaning curved glass.4) Check for gaps/slots in the glass; these can cause air leaks.5) Check if the suction port is obstructed.
Robot detached.Do not remove the robot forcefully. Press and hold the power button on the robot for 3 seconds to stop the suction fan. Then hold the handle firmly before removing it. If the robot falls, perform the same checks as indicated for the “Low pressure” alarm.
Anti-fall sensor fault.1) Check that the mop pad is installed correctly and does not block the four anti-fall sensors.2) Check for dirt adhering to the anti-fall sensors.3) Remove the robot, unplug the adapter and restart it. If it is not restored, contact the Technical Support Service.
