This user manual contains all the information required for the trouble-free and safe operation of the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the loudspeaker is positioned, connected, and operated safely.

The illustrations in this manual are intended to clarify the steps necessary for operating the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature.

The ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature is intended for personal use only and is not designed for commercial applications.

3. FIRST STEPS

1. Remove the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature from the packaging (see Chapter "3.1 UNPACKING THE SPEAKERS") and inspect the speaker for any damage. If damage is found, do not use the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature and contact your dealer or the sonoro audio GmbH customer service immediately.
2. Check the delivery for completeness: 1 speaker, 1 speaker grill, 1 bass reflex port plug, 4 speaker feet, 4 speaker spikes, 4 spike pads, 2 hex keys (2mm / 4mm), 4 grub screws, 4 countersunk screws, 2 cross braces.
3. Do not touch or press the woofer, midrange driver, or tweeter on the front of the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature. Doing so may damage the speakers.

3.1 UNPACKING THE SPEAKERS

The ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature is a heavy speaker. To avoid damage such as scratches or dents to the cabinet, we recommend unpacking the speaker with two people.

Before unpacking, prepare a soft surface (e.g., a blanket or foam mat) to protect the cabinet from damage.

3.2 INSTALLATION OF THE CROSS BRACES

Carefully place the speaker upside down. Place a soft surface under the cabinet for protection. Now attach the supplied cross braces using the appropriate countersunk screws (A) and the 4 mm hex key (Allen wrench).

Ensure that the side screw threads face backward—this way, they remain out of sight from the front. (B)

3.3 ATTACHING THE FEET

After installing the cross braces, you can choose between two options:

Speaker Feet

Speaker Feet

Spikes / Pads (for improved acoustic decoupling)

Spikes Spike Pads

Both options are height-adjustable by turning and provide a stable stand even on uneven floors.

If you choose to use the spikes, unscrew the speaker feet and replace them with the spikes. To protect sensitive flooring, please place the supplied spike pads under the spikes.

3.4 PLACEMENT OF THE ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature

NOTE!

Placing the speakers with spikes directly on the floor provides the best possible acoustic performance but may damage your flooring!

For safety reasons, we strongly recommend always using spike pads under the spikes when positioning the speakers. Assistance from a second person is helpful during this process.

Place the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature in a secure and suitable location.

If you intend to place the speakers on a natural wood surface, please ensure that the surface is suitable. Oiled or waxed finishes may develop discoloration.

For optimal listening experience, we recommend the following basic setup:

• Speaker distance: 2-3 m (A)
• Listening distance = Speaker distance × 1.25 (B)
  • Distance from rear wall: approx. 50 cm (C)
  • Distance from side walls: approx. 80 cm (D)

Position the speakers angled slightly toward the listening position. Ensure that the tweeter is approximately at ear level when you are seated in your preferred listening spot.

Tips:

• Avoid placing the speakers in corners.
• Large furniture or TV stands positioned between the speakers can degrade the stereo image.
• Carpets and curtains help improve room acoustics.

3.5 SECURING THE FEET

Once the speaker is properly positioned, secure the feet or spikes using the grub screws. Use the included 2 mm hex key (Allen wrench) and carefully tighten the screws clockwise. Tighten only until the feet are firmly in place-over-tightening may damage the threads.

3.6 CONNECTING THE SPEAKER

The ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature speakers can be connected to an amplifier as shown. To avoid short circuits, please turn off the amplifier before connecting your ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature.

Connect the right speaker to the right channel and the left speaker to the left channel of your amplifier. Ensure that the polarity (+ and -) is not reversed.

When connecting the speaker cable, please observe the following instructions:

• The bare wires of the speaker cable must not touch each other.
• The bare wires must not come into contact with the back panel or screws of the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature.

3.7 REMOVING THE SPEAKER GRILL

The speakers can be operated with or without the supplied grill. For the best possible sound quality, operating without the grill is recommended. However, the grill provides reliable protection against mechanical damage, especially during daily use.

3.8 BASS REFLEX PORT PLUG

If you need to place your speakers too close to the rear wall or in a corner, the bass may sometimes be perceived as too strong. In this case, inserting the foam plug into the bass reflex port can help improve the sound. Please never push the plug completely into the bass reflex port!

4. CLEANING

• Cleaning fingerprints and light dirt: Clean the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature only on the outside with a soft, dry cloth.
• For heavy soiling: Clean the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature only on the outside with a slightly damp cloth, then dry it immediately with a soft, dry cloth.
• Any other cleaning methods may damage your ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature.

NOTE!

Do not attempt to clean the speaker membranes of the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature loudspeakers, as this may cause damage.

6. DISPOSAL AT THE END OF SERVICE LIFE

Do not dispose of in household waste. Devices marked with this symbol (see illustration) must not be disposed of in household waste. They must be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Information on the disposal of old devices is available from your local municipality, waste disposal company, or the store where you purchased this device. Proper disposal of old devices helps prevent environmental damage and does not endanger your health.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

Malfunctions can occur with any electrical device. This is not necessarily due to a defect in the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature. Therefore, please refer to the following table to see if you can resolve the issue yourself.

Issue Possible Cause $	Solution
No sound	Faulty amplifier	Connect a known working speaker to the amplifier outputs. If no sound is heard, check that all electronics are switched on, the signal path is correct, the source is active, the volume is set, and so forth.
	Speaker cables are not properly connected	Check that all cables between the amplifier and the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature speaker are properly connected.
Poor bass reproduction	Speaker cables wired with reversed polarity	Verify that the amplifier's positive (+) terminal is connected to the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature speaker's positive (+) terminal. Also, double-check that the amplifier's negative (-) terminal is connected to the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature speaker's negative (-) terminal.
Constant noises such as humming or buzzing	Poor amplifier grounding	Inspect and resolve any grounding issues with the amplifier.
	Defective cable	Replace the cable with a good-quality one if it is defective.
Intermittent playback issues, e.g., crackling or distortion	Speaker cables are not properly connected	Check all connections at both the amplifier and the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature to ensure they are correct and secure.

8. WARRANTY

When making warranty claims, the following applies without limiting your statutory rights:

• Warranty claims can only be made within a maximum period of 5 years (1 year in North America and Australia) from the date of purchase.
• sonoro audio GmbH will, at its discretion, repair or replace free of charge any defects in the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature that are due to material or manufacturing faults within the warranty period.
• In the event of a claim, please contact our customer service. Contact details can be found on the back cover of this manual or at www.sonoro.com.
• After repair or replacement of the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature, no new warranty period begins. The original warranty period of 5 years (1 year in North America and Australia) from the date of purchase remains valid.
• Exclusions from the warranty include damage caused by improper use, normal wear and tear, defects that only slightly affect the value or usability of the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature, and modifications not carried out by our authorized service center.

9. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Persons (including children) whose physical, sensory, or mental abilities prevent them from safely using the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature should only use the device under supervision. Packaging materials pose a suffocation hazard.

During transport, the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature must be positioned in the vehicle so that it does not pose any danger to the occupants. Improper handling or shipping can damage the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature and impair its proper functioning.

The front, edges, and corners of the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature are all pressure-sensitive. Protect these areas to avoid excessive stress. Never place the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature on its corners or edges. Never lay the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature face down.

The ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature must never be used in areas with high humidity. Avoid persistent contaminants such as grease splashes or dirty exhaust air in the kitchen. Protect the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature from liquids. Never place the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature on or near open flames or heat sources.

Place the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature on a stable surface to avoid strong mechanical vibrations.

For transport or shipping, please pack the speakers in the supplied protective packaging and the original carton. Keep the original packaging for this purpose. If the original packaging is no longer available, use a sufficiently sturdy and protective packaging to prevent damage to the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature.

Protect the ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature from weather conditions, moisture, and high temperatures. The ORCHESTRA Shaped Signature must never be used outdoors, and exposure to strong sunlight or UV radiation should be avoided.
