1. INCLUDED IN DELIVERY

Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are included in the delivery. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the product and supplied components, and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the product and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

The product is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use. Failure to observe the following information may result in personal injury or material damage.

WARNING

  • Only use the product for external use and for the purpose for which it was developed and in the manner specified in these instructions for use.
  • The product must only be used by individuals for drying and professionally styling hair!
  • Only pull the cable from the socket by the mains plug.
  • If the product is not used in the manner specified by the manufacturer, safety cannot be guaranteed.

NOTICE

  • Do not use the product outside.
  • Do not use any additional parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer or offered as accessories.

Risk of electric shock

- Never use the product near baths, wash basins, showers or other objects containing water or other liquids.

  • Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! If the product falls into water, do not reach into the water! First switch off the fuse at the fuse box and then pull the mains plug out of the socket. Have the product checked by an authorised specialist workshop before using it again!
  • Make sure that no water gets inside the product!
  • Never touch the product with wet or damp hands or feet.
  • Keep metal objects (such as jewellery) away from the air intake to prevent them from being sucked in.
  • Do not insert any objects into the casing!
  • If there is visible damage to the product, mains cable/plug or accessories, do not use the product if you have any doubts and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.
  • Position yourself on a dry, non-conductive surface.
  • Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable and do not pull or route it over/on sharp, pointed objects or hot surfaces. Do not wind the mains cable around the product! Damaged or tangled mains cables increase the risk of electric shock!
  • If the product has been dropped or has sustained any other damage, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person to avoid any risk. Do not use the product if it is damaged or not functioning correctly.

WARNING

  • Only connect the product to a socket that has the correct voltage as indicated on the type plate.
  • In the event of a fault, have the product repaired by a certified specialist workshop.
  • The product must be disconnected from the mains when performing maintenance work and exchanging the attachments.
  • Do not use extension cables in the bathroom. This ensures that the mains plug can be accessed quickly in an emergency.
  • Do not jam the mains cable in drawers or doors, for example.
  • Untangle the mains cable if it is twisted.

Risk of burns and fire

WARNING

  • When the product is in operation, only hold the product by the handle 7.
  • Do not cover the product with towels or other objects while it is in operation or still hot.
  • Do not cover the product, blower or air inlet.
  • Ensure that you do not use flammable substances during usage and cleaning. Likewise, highly flammable liquids must not be located near the product.
  • When using the product, unplug the mains plug after use as flammable substances in the vicinity constitutes a danger, even when the product is switched off.
  • The product and the attachments used can become very hot during use, depending on the duration of use. Do not touch! Allow the product and attachments to cool down sufficiently on a non-flammable surface before disconnecting them!
  • The air supply must not be obstructed during use. Regularly check that the air vent is clean and free of hair.
  • Place the product on non-flammable surfaces only.
  • Keep the hot product away from easily damaged surfaces and the skin.
  • Do not use the product on artificial hair

5. USAGE

WARNING

  • A slight odour initially develops after switching on the product for the first time. This is normal and not harmful to your health. Allow the product to run for three to five minutes. After that you can use the product as normal.
  • Never leave the product unattended during use.
  • Switch off the product after each use and interruption.
  • For your safety, the product switches off automatically if it overheats.
  • Position yourself on a dry, non-conductive surface. Risk of electric shock!
  • Make sure that your hands are dry! There is a risk of electric shock!
  • The heated brush 3, the curling brush 2 and the device may become very hot depending on the switch setting and period of use – risk of burns and fire! Do not touch the heated brush 3 or the curling brush 2.
  • Place the device on fireproof surfaces only. Risk of fire!
  • Ensure that no hair can be directly sucked into the device. Risk of fire!
  • Do not jam the mains cable ^11 in drawers or doors, for example.
  • Untangle the mains cable 11 if it is twisted.
  • Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable 11 and do not pull or route it over/on sharp, pointed objects or hot surfaces.
  • For your safety, the device switches off automatically if it overheats.
  • Pull the mains plug out of the socket and allow the device to cool down.

CAUTION

- Before switching the device back on, check the air outlet 4 and the air intake filter 8 for any blockages (e.g. sucked-in fluff, dust or hair).

General instructions for use

Step 1: Attaching/removing the brush attachment

To attach a brush attachment to the hot air brush, place the required brush attachment on the hot air brush and carefully turn it right and left until you see and hear it click in place.

To remove a brush attachment from the hot air brush, hold down the unlock button 1 on the brush attachment and pull the attachment off the hot air brush.

Allow the heated brus 3 and the curling brush 2 to cool before you remove them.

Step 2: Plugging the mains plug into the socket

Insert the mains plug of the hot air brush into a suitable socket.

Step 3: Preparing your hair

Dry your hair with a towel beforehand.
Comb your hair thoroughly.

Only use the hot air brush on pre-dried, slightly damp and well-brushed hair.

Step 4: Blower and temperature settings

Slide the sliding switch 6 on the hot air brush to the required blower and temperature setting (2, 1 or ⚙).

Step 5: After use:

After use, slide the sliding switch 6 to position 0.
Place the hot air brush on a heat-resistant surface and allow to cool.
Then clean the hot air brush as described in chapter "6. Cleaning".
Store the hot air brush in a safe, cool and dry place. If you prefer, you can hang up the hot air brush using the hanging eyelet 10.

Straightened hair

Use the heated brush 3.
If you have fine hair, slide the sliding switch 6 to position 1.
If you have thick hair, slide the sliding switch 6 to position 2.
Take sections of hair by the root and glide the heated brush from there down to the tip.
Repeat until your hair is straight.

Curly and wavy hair

Use the curling brush 2.
If you have fine hair, slide the sliding switch 6 to position 1.
If you have thick hair, slide the sliding switch 6 to position 2.
Using the rotation buttons, wind a section of hair from the tips towards the roots.
Hold this position for approximately 20 seconds.
After the 20 seconds, slide the sliding switch 6 to the position to finish the section.
Use the rotation buttons to un wind the section completely.
Repeat steps 1 to 6 to curl the rest of your hair.

Hair with volume and bounce Round brushing outwards:

If you have fine hair, slide the sliding switch 6 to position 1.

Place the heated brush 3 over a section of hair at the tips.
Hold down the wind rotation button until the tips curl out as required.
Hold this position for approximately 20 seconds.
After the 20 seconds, slide the sliding switch 6 to the position to finish the section.
Use the rotation button to un wind the section completely in the opposite direction.
Repeat steps 1 to 6 to curl the rest of your hair.

Round brushing inwards:

Use the heated brush 3
If you have fine hair, slide the sliding switch 6 to position 1.

Place the heated brush 3 under a section of hair at the tips.

Hold down the wind rotation button until the tips curl in as required.

Hold this position for approximately 20 seconds.

After the 20 seconds, slide the sliding switch 6 to the position to finish the section.

Use the rotation buttons to un wind the section completely in the opposite direction.

Repeat steps 1 to 6 to curl the rest of your hair.

NOTE

- If your hair becomes knotted while winding or unwinding, switch off the device and carefully release the hair from the attachment.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION

• Always pull the mains plug out of the socket before cleaning the device. Risk of electric shock!
- Ensure that no water gets inside the device! Risk of electric shock!
- Do not clean the device with highly flammable liquids! Risk of fire!

NOTE

  • Your device is maintenance-free.
  • Protect the device from dust, dirt and humidity.
  • Do not clean the device in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use any aggressive, caustic, abrasive, or corrosive cleaning products or hard brushes.
  • The casing of the hot air brush and the attachments may be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with warm water.
  • Before each use, remove any sucked-in fluff, dust or hair from the air outlet 4 and the air intake filter 8 using an appropriately sized brush.
  • If the curling brush ^2 and the heated brush ^3 are very dirty, remove from the device and rinse thoroughly under running water.
  • Dry the curling brush ^2 and the heated brush ^3 carefully after cleaning!
  • Do not use the attachments again until they are completely dry.

7. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its useful life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.
