• Children should not play with this device and must be supervised to ensure they do not do so.
- WARNING! When this device is on, maximum care and caution must be taken by the user as it contains and may issue boiling water and steam. This is also true after the device has been switched off, until it has completely cooled down.
- WARNING! The user of this device must be aware of the fact that the levels of moisture may increase the growth of biological organisms in the environment.
- When the device is on, the surfaces around the steam outlet (3) could become damp and/or wet due to the condensation of the steam.
- Do not allow absorbent materials such as carpets, curtains or tablecloths to get wet and/or become damp
- Do not allow the area around the humidifier to become damp or wet. In case of dampness, reduce the flow of outgoing steam from the humidifier by turning the regulating switch to the left (10). If the flow of steam coming out of the humidifier cannot be re-
duced enough, use the humidifier intermittently.
- Never leave water in the device when it is not in use.
- ⚠️WARNING! Before lifting, moving, tilting, cleaning or maintaining the device, and/or removing/filling the water tank (2), always put the device off, pull the power cable (5) out from the mains socket and wait until the device and the water contained therein have completely cooled down.
- The device must be cleaned and dried thoroughly before every use and at the end of every cycle.
- This device must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed, "humidifier for domestic use". Any other use is to be deemed improper and therefore dangerous.
- Artsana refuses to take responsibility for any damage that may be caused by the inappropriate, erroneous or irrational use of the device.
- After removing any packaging materials, ensure that the device has not been damaged. When in doubt, do not use the device and contact technically competent personnel, dealers or an service centre authorised by the manufacturer.
- Keep all packaging materials (plastic bags, boxes, cardboard, etc.) out of reach of children.

- Do not scratch the heating unit (12) and do not use chemical or abrasive products to clean it.
- When necessary, clean the ventilation opening filter (7), remove it from its position by sliding it out, then remove the dust present in the surface with the aid of a small soft brush, rinse gently under cold running water, leave to dry in the air without exposing it to direct sunlight, then put it back on to the device in its original position
- Do not put/wash the device and all its components in dishwashers.
CLEANING THE TANK (2), STEAM DUCT (4), HEATING TANK (13) AND HEATING PLATE (12)
- During the normal use of the device, the mineral salts dissolved in the water can cause encrustation to form due to limescale in the steam duct(4), heating tank (13) and heating plate (12).
• These limescale encrustations may form slowly or quickly depending on the hardness of the water and the frequency with
which the device is used. The harder the water and the more often the device is used, the quicker deposits/encrustations will form, leading to a reduction in performances, an increase in noise and the device being unable to run normally. It is therefore recommended to clean and decalcify at least once a week as follows:
- WARNING! Before proceeding in performing any cleaning or maintenance procedures on the device, make sure that the power cable (5) is unplugged from the mains socket and that the device and its components have cooled down completely.
- Since the device contains water (which could leak out during the operations described below), these must always be performed on suitable surfaces that are not sensitive to water and dampness.
-
Remove the lid (8) from the water tank (2) WARNING: when the humidifier is running, water is condensed in the lid (8), and when this is removed, trickles of condensation could leak out and wet the surfaces around the device.
-
Remove the water tank (2) by lifting it vertically using the handle provided (15). (Fig. D)
-
Slightly move the steam duct lock (17) (Fig. E) and remove the duct by carefully lifting it up, rinse it and remove the limescale residues with a cloth, also using a tool if necessary. Carefully rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
-
Empty out the residues of water in the heating tank (13) by tilting the technical base in the direction indicated by the arrows (a) on the same as indicated in figure F, taking care not to wet the plug and the power cable (5) or allow the water to enter the air duct (16).
-
Pour approximately 250 ml of water into the heating tank (13) and repeat the operation described in point 4 twice.
-
Remove any residues remaining in the heating tank with a cloth (13) using a small tool to remove the limescale in the water inlet channel (Fig. H), repeat the operations indicated at point 5. and dry carefully.
-
Unscrew the cap of the water tank (14), empty the water residues contained in the water tank (2) then fill it completely with cold drinkable tap water.
-
Rinse a few times and dry carefully.
-
Pour about 1 litre of a solution with equal parts of water and white wine vinegar into the water tank (2).
-
Screw the cap back on to the water tank (14) and shake it for about a minute, put the steam duct (4) down into the bottom of the heating tank (13) ensuring that the ballcock structure (9), is correctly inserted on to the cylinder present inside the technical base (6). (Fig. G).
-
Insert the water tank (2) on to the technical base (6) and let it rest there for at least 4 hours or, better still, overnight if possible.
-
Repeat the operations from points 2 to 8.
-
Put the steam duct (4) down into the bottom of the heating tank (13) ensuring that the ballcock structure (9), is correctly inserted on to the cylinder present inside the technical base (6).
-
If you wish to use the device again, fill the tank (2) full with cold drinkable tap water and screw the cap tightly on to the heating tank (14), lift the tank using the handle provided (15) and insert it, keeping it in a vertical position, on to the technical base (6), carefully rinse and dry the cap (8) and place it on the tank.
-
The device is now ready to be used again
-
Instead, if the device is not to be used again, carefully dry the inside of the tank (2) with a soft cloth, screw the water tank cap on (14) leaving it very loose to reduce the possibility of odours forming therein, and insert it on to the technical base (6).
-
Carefully rinse and dry the cap (8) and place it on the tank.
-
Put the device back in a cool, dry, clean place away from direct sunlight.
PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
| PROBLEM DETECTED SOLUTION | |
| • If the humidifier does not work | • Check that the power cable plug (5) is correctly connected to the mains socket.• Check that there is network voltage in the electrical system.• Check whether the LED (11) is on.• Unplug the power cable from the mains, leave the device until it has completely cooled down and put the plug into the mains socket again.• Verify that the steam duct (4) is correctly positioned in the heating tank (13). |
