Setting up the appliance / wall mounting

i Note

▶ The charging station 14 may only be operated free-standing if used in dry rooms. Place the charging station 14 on a horizontal, level and stable surface.

In damp rooms, especially in the vicinity of water (bath), the charging station 14 must be firmly fixed to the wall to protect it from falling into the water.

▶ Before wall mounting, make sure that there are no cables or pipes in the area where you want to hang the charging station 14.

1) Mark two drill holes on the wall 3 cm apart and drill the marked holes with a 5 mm bit. Ensure that there is a mains power socket in the immediate vicinity.

2) Push the supplied wall plugs into the drill holes and screw the screws into the wall plugs. Take care that the screws still protrude about 3 mm out of the holes.

3) Feed the power cable through one of the recesses 12 on the side of the charging station 14, depending on which side the power socket is located.

4) Push the charging station 14 onto the screws so that the screws protrude into the hangers 10 at the back of the charging station 14. Then press the charging station 14 down so that the screws slide into the rails of the hangers 10 and the charging station 14 sits firmly on the screws.

Charging the appliance

! ATTENTION!

▶ Due to the high current consumption, the appliance must be charged using a USB power adapter (not supplied). Do not charge the appliance from the USB port of a PC or notebook.

▶ To charge the appliance, use only a USB power adapter of protection class II approved for use with household devices (output voltage 5 V, max. 2 A).

▶ Use only the supplied USB charging cable 23 to charge the appliance.

i Note

▶ The battery must be fully charged before using the appliance.
▶ Before starting to use the appliance, check that it is in fault-free condition. You must not use the appliance if it has any faults.
▶ Charge the appliance only when there is no water in the water tank ⑥.
▶ A fully charged battery is enough for about 20 minutes of use.

1) Connect the USB-A plug on the USB charging cable 23 to a USB power adapter. Plug the USB power adapter into a power outlet.

2) Connect the USB-C plug 24 of the USB charging cable 23 to the USB-C port 13 on the underside of the charging station 14.

3) Place the handpiece 5 on the charging station 14 so that it slides onto the charging contacts 15 of the charging station 14.

4) The charge indicator ☐ on the hand-piece 5 lights up red during charging. When the battery is fully charged, the charge indicator ☐ lights up green.

5) Place the handpiece ⑤ on the charging station ⑭ for charging after each use so that full power is always available.

Filling the water tank

ATTENTION!

▶ Fill the water tan⑥ with pure tap water. If necessary, add a few drops of mouthwash. The water tank ⑥ should never be completely filled with additives such as mouthwash or mouth rinse.
▶ Use only cold or lukewarm water with a maximum temperature of 40^ C. Do not fill the water tank ⑥ with hot water.

1) Remove the handpiece ⑤ from the charging station ⑭. Hold the switched-off handpiece ⑤ horizontally.
2) Open the water tank lid ⑦ and fill the tank with water through the filling opening ⑦.

- Attachments ② that you are not currently using can be placed in one of the attachment holders ⑪ on the charging station ⑭.

Before first use

1) Rinse the attachments ② with clean water. You can place one attachment ② in the attachment holder ⑪ on the charging station ⑭. Fit the other attachment ② onto the handpiece ⑤.
2) Rinse the water tank ⑥ with clean water.
3) Fill the water tank ⑥ as described in the section Filling the water tank.
4) Point the nozzle ① of the attachment ② downwards into a washbasin. When doing so, make sure that you do not tilt the handpiece ⑤ too far forwards. Otherwise, the intake tube will no longer reach water or water could leak out of the air supply openings ④.
5) Press the On/Off button ⏻ 21. The handpiece ⑤ starts pumping water and discharging it via the nozzle ①. Let the handpiece ⑤ run until the water tank ⑥ is empty. This flushes all internal lines.
6) Press the On/Off button ②1 to switch off the handpiece ⑤.

Power levels

This water jet flosser has three different power levels:

jet: powerful water jet, indicator light jet 19 lights up.

For cleaning left over food from your inter- dental spaces.

- normal: water jet mixed with air, indicator light normal 18 lights up.

For cleaning left over food from your inter- dental spaces, for massaging your gums, for rinsing between teeth and gums.

soft: water jet mixed with a lot of air, indicator light soft ⑰ lights up.

For gently massaging your gums.

(i) Note

▶ If the appliance was completely discharged during the last use, it always starts on the power level jet.

◆ Press the power level selection button 20 repeatedly until the desired power level is set.

◆ Press the On/Off button ⏻ 21. The appliance starts with the set power level.

◆ To switch off the water jet flosser, press the On/Off button ⏻ 21 again.

Operation

CAUTION!

The unfamiliar stimulation may cause some gum bleeding at first, which is not unusual. In this case, use a less intensive power level, such as soft or normal. If the bleeding gums last longer than two weeks, you should contact your dentist.

- Consult your dentist before using the appliance if you suffer from severe periodontitis, have injuries or abscesses in the mucous membrane of the oral cavity or underwent dental surgery within the last two months.

i Note

▶ Use of the appliance is not a replacement for daily tooth cleaning with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Use the appliance only as a supplement to daily tooth cleaning with toothbrush and toothpaste.

▶ Make sure that you do not cover up the air supply openings ④ on the back of the handpiece ⑤ with your fingers during use.

▶ If you hold the handpiece ^5 at an angle during use, water may leak out of the air supply openings ^4 .

The handpiece 5 switches off automatically after approx. 2 minutes at each power level, even if there is still water in the water tank 6.

1) Fill the water tank ⑥.
2) Place an attachment ② on the handpiece ⑤.
3) Press the power level selection button Ⓧ 20 to set the desired power level.

4) Place the attachment ② in your mouth to prevent spray. Bend over the washbasin and hold the handpiece ⑤ as upright as possible (see Fig. 1). Direct the nozzle ① of the attachment ② towards your teeth/interdental spaces.

Fig. 1

5) Press the On/Off button ⏻ 21 to start the handpiece 5. Close your mouth a little to prevent water from spraying around.

6) To clean the interdental spaces, slowly guide the nozzle ① of the attachment ② from interdental space to interdental space on the inner and outer sides of your teeth. To massage your gums, point the nozzle ① at the gums. Move the water jet slowly over your gums.

The length of the process will depend on how much cleaning the interdental spaces require. Continue cleaning until your teeth feel clean.

When massaging your gums, use the water jet flosser for as long as you find the massage comfortable.

i Note

The water in the water tank ⑥ is sufficient for approx. 45 seconds of use at power level normal.

▶ If the water in the water tan⑥ is used up in the meantime, stop the handpiece ⑤. Remove it from your mouth and refill the water tank ⑥ through the filling opening ⑦.

7) When the treatment is finished, press the On/Off button ⏻ 21 to switch off the handpiece 5.

8) Only then should you take the attachment ② out of your mouth and rinse it under clean, running water.

After use

i Note

▶ Always empty the water tank⑥ and all tubes after every use to prevent the build-up of bacteria.

When the handpiece 5 is switched off and you have finished the treatment:

1) Open the water tank lid ⑦ with the attachment ② still fitted and pour out the rest of the water. You can also remove the base cover ⑨ from the handpiece ⑤ to empty the water tank ⑥. To do this, press the release button ⑧ and pull the base cover ⑨ off the handpiece ⑤.

2) Close the water tank lid ⑦.

3) Point the nozzle ① of the attachment ② downwards into a washbasin. Switch the handpiece ⑤ on for a couple of seconds to flush any remaining water from the water tank ⑥.

4) Take the attachment ② from the handpiece ⑤ and place it in the attachment holder ⑪ on the charging station ⑭.
