- Push the hose of the petrol suction pump into the fuel tank and drain out the petrol completely using the petrol suction pump.
- Reinsert the fuel filter insert (25).
- Retighten the tank cover (2).
- To ensure that no petrol remains in the carburettor (22), the remaining petrol must be drained out of the carburettor. To do this, place a suitable container (not included in the scope of delivery) under the carburettor (22) and open the carburettor screw (26) (Fig. 8).
12. Storage
Preparation for storage
- Empty the fuel tank with a petrol suction pump. Remove fuel filter and drain the carburettor (23). Loosen the screw on the lower side of the carburettor and drain the petrol into a receptacle provided for this purpose.
- Warning: Do not remove the petrol in enclosed spaces, near fire or when smoking. Petrol fumes can cause explosions and fire.
- Start the engine and let it run until the remaining petrol is used up.
- Store fuel in tanks specifically designed for this purpose.
- Change the oil at the end of every season.
- To do so, remove the used engine oil from a warm engine and refill with fresh oil.
- Remove the spark plug (23).
- Fill the cylinder with approx. 20 ml of oil from an oil can.
- Pull the pull starter (6) slowly so that the oil protects the inside of the cylinder.
- Screw the spark plug (23) back in.
- Store the machine in a well-ventilated place.
13. Transport
Preparation for transport
- Empty the fuel tank into an approved canister with a petrol suction pump or alternatively via the fuel valve.
- If operational, keep the engine running until the remaining petrol has been used up.
- Drain the engine oil from the warm engine (as described).
- Remove the spark plug connector (21) from the spark plug (23).
- Secure the device against slipping using a tension strap, for example.
