2. Safety of use

CAUTION! Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury or death.

2.1. Electrical safety

4 53.2. Preparation for operation
POSITIONING OF THE UNIT
The ambient temperature must not exceed 40^ C and ambient humidity should not exceed 85%. Place the unit in a way that ensures good air circulation. Maintain a minimum clearance of 10 cm from any wall of the unit. Keep the unit away from any hot surfaces. Always operate the unit on a level, stable, clean, fireproof, and dry surface and out of the reach of children and persons with impaired mental, sensory, and intellectual functions. Place the unit in such a way that the main plug can be reached at any time. Ensure that the power supply to the unit corresponds to that specified on the identification plate!
3.3. Working with the unit
Do not apply too much pressure when engraving.
WARNING! The use of accessories or attachments other than those recommended in this manual may present a risk of personal injury. To use this tool correctly, the safety regulations, installation instructions and operating instructions contained in this manual must be followed. All persons using and servicing the device must read this manual and be informed of potential dangers. Children and minors are not allowed to use this tool. Children should be supervised at all times if they are in the area where the tool is being used. It is also necessary to comply with the accident prevention regulations in force in your region. The same applies to general health and safety rules.

3.3.1. Installing the engraving tip
WARNING! Before performing any adjustment or maintenance activities, disconnect the device from the power source.
a) Loosen the tip release screw (4) by turning it counterclockwise with a flathead screwdriver.
b) To install a new engraving tip (2), insert the tip through the center of the engraving machine hole, making sure that the tip is fully inserted into the housing. The new tip should protrude approximately 8.5 mm from the end of the housing.
c) Tighten the tip release screw (4) fully by turning it clockwise.
3.3.2. Operation
WARNING! Always wear safety glasses when using this tool.
a) Before using the machine, make sure that the engraving tip is installed.
b) Connect the appliance plug to the power supply and, holding firmly, press the main on/off switch (1) with your thumb.
CAUTION! To turn on the tool, press the main switch (1) upwards to position (I). To turn off the tool, press the main switch (1) down to position (O).
Hold the device at an angle, just like holding a pen. Do not press hard when engraving, use light pressure while guiding the tip over the work in progress.
3.3.3. Adjusting the depth of engraving
a) The stroke adjustment knob (3) on the side of the machine controls the stroke length and the engraving depth.
b) To obtain a precise mark, turn the stroke adjustment knob (3) counterclockwise to the "1" position.
c) To obtain a deeper, thicker mark, turn the stroke adjustment knob (3) clockwise to the "5" position.
d) CAUTION! Before starting work, it is recommended to practice the engraving settings on the item intended for trash.
3.4. Cleaning and maintenance
a) Pull the mains plug and let the unit cool down completely before cleaning, adjusting or replacing accessories and when the unit is not in use.
- Wait until the rotating parts stop.
b) Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
c) Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
d) Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
e) Make sure that no water enters through the ventilation openings in the casing.
f) Clean the ventilation openings with a brush and compressed air.
g) Perform regular inspections of the unit checking technical fitness and any damages.
h) Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning.
i) Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. wire brush or metal spatula) as they may damage the surface of the material from which the appliance is made.
j) Do not clean the unit with acidic substances, medical agents, thinners, fuel, oils, or other chemicals. It may cause damage to the device.
DISPOSAL OF USED UNITS.
At the end of its useful life, this product should not be disposed of with normal household waste but should be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
