Error codes

In the start state, if the control circuit does not receive the correct signal from the power supply board for 20 consecutive seconds, the control panel display will show E1, and all cooking areas will be switched off. After 1 minute, the hob will return to the Off state and the residual heat symbol "H" will be displayed, if applicable.

Guide to use the hob

  • The first few times the hob is used, it may give off an acidic, burning smell. This is normal, it is due to residues from manufacturing components. This odour will disappear completely with repeated use and adequate ventilation.
  • The hob is equipped with cooking areas of different diameters and power ratings.

- The positions from which the heat will radiate are clearly marked on the hob. Cookware must be placed exactly over these areas for effective heating to take place. Cookware must have the same diameter as the cooking area in which they are used.

- Do not use cookware with a rough base, as this may scratch the ceramic surface.

- Before using the cookware, make sure that the base is clean and dry.

- When cold, the bottom of the cookware should be slightly concave, as when hot it will expand and lie flat on the surface of the hob. This will allow heat to be transferred more easily.

- Failure to follow these recommendations will result in a great loss of heat and energy. Heat not absorbed by the cookware will spread to the hob, frame, and surrounding cabinets. - It is preferable to cover the cookware with a lid in order to be able to cook at a lower temperature.

- Always cook vegetables, potatoes, etc. in as little water as possible to reduce cooking time.

- Food or liquids with a high sugar content can damage the hob if they come into contact with the surface of the glass ceramic hob. Splashes should be wiped up immediately, although this will not prevent damage to the surface of the plate.

NOTE:

- The surface of the ceramic hob is resistant; however, it is not unbreakable and can be damaged. Especially if sharp or hard objects are allowed to fall on it with some force.

- Do not use the hob if the surface is cracked or broken. If this happens, unplug the hob to avoid electric shock and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

Use of power levels

The following settings are for guidance only. The exact setting will depend on different factors, such as cookware and the amount of food cooked. Test the ceramic hob to find the settings that suit you best.

Power level Use
1 - 2 - Lightly heat small amounts of food.- Melting chocolate, butter and foods that burn quickly.- Simmering.- Gradually heating.
3 - 4 - Reheat.- Quickly cooking.- Cooking rice.
5 - 6 - Pancakes.
7 - 8 - Stir-fry.- Cooking pasta.
9 - Stir-fry.- Browning.- Boiling broth.- Boiling water.

Cooking guidelines

Be careful when frying, as oil and grease heat up very quickly. At extremely high temperatures, oil and grease can spontaneously combust, creating a serious fire hazard.

Cooking tips

  • When food starts boiling, reduce the power.
  • Using a lid will reduce the cooking time and save energy by retaining heat.
  • Use less liquid or grease to shorten cooking times.
  • Start cooking with a high power setting and reduce it as food heats up.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

- Let the hob cool down before cleaning it.

  • The appliance must be disconnected from the mains before cleaning.
  • Cleaning agent residues left on the surface of the ceramic hob can damage it. Remove residues with lukewarm water mixed with a little neutral liquid detergent.
  • Abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects damage the hob surface; clean it with lukewarm water mixed with a little liquid detergent.
  • You may find it easier to clean up some food residues while the surface of the hob is still hot. However, you must be careful not to burn yourself if you wipe the surface of the hob while it is still hot.

ENGLISHENGLISH

  • Wipe the stains with a damp cloth with detergent diluted in a little water. Then, wet with lukewarm water and dry the surface thoroughly. You can use specific cleaning products for induction / glass ceramic hobs.
  • Spilled sugar, jam, etc. should be cleaned up immediately. This will prevent the surface from getting damaged.

After each use

  • Wipe the hob with a damp cloth.
  • Wipe the surface dry with a clean cloth.
