Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of the Tube, IGGI's new companion. This steam sterilising accessory is an extension of the Laurastar Hygienic Steamer IGGI. Together they epitomise Swiss technology and design. Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the device for the first time, as well as the safety instructions, and retain this instruction manual for future use.

WARNING: Your Laurastar™ product releases heat and steam. As a result, certain elements can become very hot and cause burns while in use. Very hot elements are indicated with this symbol.

WARNING: Failure to comply with this instruction manual/these safety instructions may cause the device to become dangerous. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage to property or personal injury resulting from failure to comply with these safety instructions. Retain this instruction manual for anyone using the device.

PLEASE NOTE: The Tube is an accessory to the Laurastar hygienic steamer IGGI. For proper use and instructions, please refer to the user manual enclosed with IGGI.

READ THE ENTIRE INSTRUCTION MANUAL BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.

Using steam requires basic precautions that should always be followed, including the following:

• This product is intended to be used in households and similar settings such as: (IEC 60335-2-15)
• staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
  • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential-type environments
  • bed and breakfast-type environments
• Care should be taken when using the product due to the presence of steam.
• Injury can result from misuse of the product.
• The object is subject to residual heat after use.

- Contact with steam under pressure or heated element can result in severe burns.

• Do not use on heat- or water-sensitive materials. It is recommended to check the use and care instructions from the manufacturer.
• Never use the product and steam on people, animals or electrical appliances of any kind.
• Do not leave the product unattended when in contact with an electrical appliance that is connected to the mains supply or while still hot.
• This product can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the

safe use of the product and understand the hazards.

CAUTION: Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play

with the appliance.

• Keep the product out of reach of children when it is connected to a live appliance or cooling down.
• Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children without supervision.
• The product should not be used in areas where there is a danger of explosions or in the presence of toxic substances.
• Never use the product to sterilise items containing hazardous substances (e.g. asbestos).
• The product must be placed on a stable surface.
• The electrical appliance used with the product has to be unplugged after use and before carrying out user maintenance on the product.
• The product is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
• Do not try to repair the product by yourself. Contact an authorized Laurastar Customer Service representative for information on repair.

Please do not dispose with household refuse.

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION AND WASTE DISPOSAL MEASURES

Keep the original box in which your product was packed in a safe place for future use (transport, servicing, etc.). DO NOT dispose of the used product with normal household waste! Ask your municipal or local authorities about appropriate environmentally friendly disposal facilities.

LAURASTAR'S HYGIENIC DRY MICROFINE STEAM (DMS)

With over 40 years of expertise in high-quality steaming systems, Laurastar has developed the unique and natural Dry Microfine Steam (DMS) with the power to sterilise materials.

Laurastar hygienic steam is so powerful that less than 10 seconds are needed to sterilise your material.

According to tests carried out by independent scientific laboratories with the ISO 17025 standard, IGGI and the Tube kills the following without any chemical products:

Laurastar DMS is a natural steam ensuring complete and even sterilisation without using any chemical substances.

To ensure objective information and scientific rigour, our devices and the scientific tests they undergo, are all controlled by a scientific committee. For more information please refer to our website www.laurastar.com under the Lab-L section.

What can be treated with the Steam Sterilising Tube?

TIP: Make sure your item(s) and hands are washed and clean.

The Tube is designed to deeply disinfect and sterilise elongated items such as bottles and jars, along the walls and down to the bottom.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of suggested items that IGGI and the Tube can — and cannot — sterilise:

STERILISE WITH THE TUBE

• Put The Tube and IGGI on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface (A).
• Fill IGGI with distilled or demineralised water only and switch it on (B).

PLEASE NOTE: The Steam Sterilising Tube has been designed for use with distilled or demineralised water only.

• Unlock IGGI's spray nozzle (C).
• Choose the right adapter ring (3) that fits to your bottle or jar (D). Keep or remove the adapter ring depending on the diameter of your container.
• Plug the Tube into IGGI (E).

NOTE: Never use additives (e.g. scented water), water containing chemicals or water collected from the tumble dryer, as these products will interfere with the proper functioning of your IGGI.

DANGER! KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT DRINK the water after it has been inside IGGI.

• Insert the nozzle into the pairing socket (4) of the Tube and place the container on it (F).
• Press the steam button on IGGI to activate the steam. Activate the steam continuously (G) for 10 seconds (H) for appropriate sterilisation.
• Remove the object from the Tube with the IGGI thermoprotective hand glove (I) and remove the Tube by pulling it gently. Lock the spray nozzle to avoid an unwanted burst of steam (J).
• Leave items to dry naturally.
• Open the Tube collection tank (5) to remove water caused by condensation (K).
• Insert the nozzle into the pairing socket (4) of the Tube and place the container on it (F).
• Press the steam button on IGGI to activate the steam. Activate the steam continuously (G) for 10 seconds (H) for appropriate sterilisation.
• Remove the object from the Tube with the IGGI thermoprotective hand glove (I) and remove the Tube by pulling it gently. Lock the spray nozzle to avoid an unwanted burst of steam (J).
• Leave items to dry naturally.
• Open the Tube collection tank (5) to remove water caused by condensation (K).

CAUTION: Items can be hot. Use the IGGI thermoprotective hand glove when sterilising your bottle and jars.

PLEASE NOTE: ALWAYS remove the Tube from IGGI after use. A residual odour does not affect the quality of sterilisation with the DMS hygienic steam.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Before any maintenance, UNPLUG IGGI, SWITCH IT OFF and LEAVE IT TO COOL DOWN for at least 30 minutes.

• After use, empty the residual water in the removable collection tank (5) then allow the Tube to air dry to avoid the proliferation of new bacterial germs.
• Store the Tube in a dry, dust-free place, preferably away from light.

PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS

Before calling Laurastar's Customer Service, please check the following points:

Symptom Probable cause Solution

My product has developed limescale and/or is spitting out limescale particles.	The water being used is unsuitable.	Only use distilled or demineralised water not softened or tap water.
The sides are becoming dirty.	These are condensation marks that appear during use.	Wipe the inside of the Tube with a clean soft cloth after each use.
Pairing with IGGI can be difficult.		Apply the required pressure when inserting the IGGI nozzle.
