USING THE KETTLE
PREPARED FOR WORK
To remove factory deposits, protective films, etc. that may be present on a brand new ap - pliance - fill the kettle with water to the maximum level, boil the water, rinse the kettle. This operation should be repeated at least 5 times, following the procedure described below.
- Remove the jug from the base (7) before filling with water.
- Open the jug lid using the button (lever) (3) and fill it with water to the desired level (but not less than the MIN line (0.5 l) and not more than the MAX line (1.5 l). Close the cover (2) carefully.
- Place the kettle on the power base (7). After placing the kettle on the power base (7) connected to a power source, the device will emit a single sound signal and the notification diodes above the symbols will light up briefly. and and the current temperature inside the kettle will be displayed, additionally informing that the device is in standby mode. The temperature indicator will turn off after approximately 20 minutes of inactivity – the device can be “waked” by pressing any button.
- Activate one of the kettle's three functions: boil / heat / keep warm.
ATTENTION! The temperature is displayed with an accuracy of + / - 5C^ (the accuracy may be lower if the kettle is not filled with water to the maximum level).
ATTENTION! Kettle operation can be interrupted at any time by pressing the button
ATTENTION! Removing the kettle from the power base (7) automatically interrupts the cooking/heating function. When placed back on the power base (7), the kettle automatically switches to standby mode.
A. Cooking To boil water, press the button. The kettle will emit a single beep, the temperature indicator will flash three times and the diode above the symbol will light up. During cooking, the kettle will display the current water temperature. Once the water has boiled, the unit will automatically switch off and go into standby mode. Additionally, an audible message will be heard (double signal) and the diode above the symbol will go out.
B. Heating (the function works in the temperature range: 40;50;60;80;90 C^ ).
When the kettle is in standby mode, set the desired temperature by pressing the button. or - the kettle will display the currently selected temperature. Then confirm your selection with the button. The kettle will emit a single beep, the temperature indicator will flash three times and the diode above the symbolwill light up. Once the correct water temperature is reached, the kettle will turn off automatically and go into standby mode. Additionally, an audible message will be heard (double signal) and the diode above the symbol will go out.
ATTENTION! Buttons and are also active after one of the three functions is previously enabled (it is still possible to change the temperature).
C. Maintaining the temperature (the function works in the temperature range: 40; 50; 60; 80; 90 C^ ).
When the kettle is in standby mode or the boiling function is on, set the desired tempera-ture by pressing the button. ④ or ⑤ - the kettle will display the currently selected tempera-. perature. Then confirm your selection with the button. ⑥ . The kettle will emit a single beep and the temperature indicator will flash three times above the symbols. ⑦ and ⑧ the diodes will light up.Once the correct temperature is reached, the diode above the symbol
will turn off, and the kettle will switch to the maintaining temperature mode, which will be indicated by the diode shining above the symbol.
ATTENTION! If the water in the kettle is warmer than the temperature we set, the diode above the symbol will flash. It will start to glow continuously once the water reaches a temperature close to the parameters we have selected.
During this function, the kettle will automatically turn on and off to maintain the selected water temperature. The keep warm function is active for a period of two hours. After this time, the kettle will go into standby mode, which will be signaled by a double sound signal and the diode displayed above the symbol will go out. Briefly removing the kettle from the stand does not disable the function. The function will resume when the kettle is placed back on the base.
ATTENTION! If the water temperature drops by more than 5C^ before the kettle is placed back on the base, the keep warm function will be deactivated and the kettle will go into standby mode.
- After boiling water or turning off the kettle, wait approximately 15-20 seconds before turning it back on. If the kettle is turned on without water, the overheating protection system will turn it off. You should then leave the kettle to cool down for approximately 15 minutes before refilling.
ATTENTION! The kettle may only be used with the base supplied with the model. Do not open the kettle lid while boiling water.
ATTENTION! Clean the jug regularly of lime deposits according to the instructions below. Before you start cleaning the kettle, unplug it from the socket and wait for the jug to cool down!
- Fill the jug with water and vinegar or lemon juice (acid) or use a special descaling agent available at home appliance stores.
- Leave the kettle for 1 hour, then boil the water.
- Empty the jug and rinse thoroughly with cold water.
- Repeat 1-3 times if necessary.
- To get rid of the vinegar smell, boil water several times and pour it out.
- Wipe the jug inside and out with a cloth.
- Failure to descale the kettle may result in damage to it.
ATTENTION! Please do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects. Please do not use strong detergents to clean the kettle.
