How to turn the trimmer on and off?

Slide the ON/OFF button (symbol ⏻) up to turn on, and down to turn off.

How to change the battery?

Turn the battery compartment cover to the left until the arrows align, remove it, insert a 1.5 V AA battery respecting polarity (+/-), then replace the cover by turning to the right until it clicks.

Can the trimmer be used underwater?

The mini-blade and comb can be cleaned under running water, but the body of the device must not be immersed. The device is splash-proof (IPX4).

What hair can be cut with the HR 2000?

It is designed only for nose, ear, and eyebrow hair. Do not use on other body parts, animals, or objects.

How to trim eyebrows to a specific length?

Place the provided comb on the mini-blade: the 3 mm or 6 mm side, depending on the desired length. Gently pass the comb over the eyebrow from the outer side toward the nose.

How long does the battery last with one battery?

Approximately 45 minutes of continuous use with a new AA battery.

How to clean the blade after use?

Blow or remove hair with fingers. For deep cleaning, remove the head by turning slightly to the right and rinse the mini-blade under running water. Let it dry completely before reassembling.

What to do if the battery leaks?

Wear protective gloves, clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth, and dispose of the battery according to local regulations.

Is the trimmer under warranty?

Yes, Beurer offers a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase for manufacturing defects. Keep the invoice and product for any claim.

Can rechargeable batteries be used?

No, the manual advises against using rechargeable batteries. Only use 1.5 V alkaline AA batteries.

1. Included in delivery

Check that the exterior of the delivery cardboard packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. 3. Intended use

The HR 2000 precision trimmer is only designed for removing nose and ear hair and trimming eyebrows. Use the precision trimmer on humans only. Do not use the precision trimmer on other body parts, animals or objects!

The precision trimmer is intended for private use only. The precision trimmer is not intended for commercial use.

The precision trimmer may only be used for the purpose for which it was designed and in the manner specified in the instructions for use. Any form of improper use can be dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.

4. Warnings and safety notes

WARNING

• Keep packaging material away from children – risk of suffocation!
• Before use, inspect the device and accessories for visible damage. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.
• Under no circumstances should you repair the device yourself, as faultless functionality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to comply with this instruction will void the warranty. In the event of a fault or damage, have the device repaired by a certified specialist workshop.
• Store the device out of the reach of children.
• Never leave the device unattended while in use.
• Do not use the device if the miniature blade is damaged or bent as it may have sharp edges – risk of injury!
• If you pass on the device to someone else, make sure to also pass on these instructions for use.

IMPORTANT

• Protect the device and its accessories from impacts, humidity, dirt, marked temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight.
• Switch off the device after every use.

Notes on handling batteries

• If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, rinse the affected area with water and seek medical assistance.
• Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Store batteries out of the reach of small children!
• Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs.
• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
• Protect batteries from excessive heat.
• ⚠️ Risk of explosion! Do not throw batteries into a fire.
• Do not charge or short-circuit batteries.
• If the device is not to be used for a relatively long period, take the batteries out of the battery compartment.
• Use identical or equivalent battery types only.

6. Initial use

Inserting the batteries

Before using the device for the first time, you must first insert the supplied battery into the device. With one battery (1.5 V AA battery), the device has a battery life of approx. 45 minutes.

To insert the battery, proceed as follows:

	1. Turn the battery compartment lid slightly to the left so that the two arrows are aligned. You can now remove the battery compartment lid from the device.
	2. Insert one AA (1.5 V) battery into the battery compartment. Make sure that the battery is inserted the right way round (+ / -), as shown in the battery compartment.
	3. Place the battery compartment lid with the arrows aligned and turn it slightly to the right until it clicks into place.

7. Use

Removing nose/ear hair

WARNING

Do not use the device if the miniature blade is bent or damaged.

1. Take the protective cap off the miniature blade.
2. Slide the ON/OFF switch ♦up to switch on the device.
3. Bring the tip of the miniature blade slowly and carefully to the front section of the nostril or ear.
4. Remove the nose or ear hair carefully, using small, circular motions.
5. When you are finished with the application, slide the ON/OFF switch ⏻down to switch off the device.
6. Place the protective cap onto the miniature blade.

Eyebrow trimming

You can trim your eyebrows to 3 mm or 6 mm with the comb attachment provided.

1. Take the protective cap off the miniature blade.
2. The comb attachment is labelled with 3 mm on one side and 6 mm on the other. Place the comb attachment onto the miniature blade from above. Make sure that you have placed the correct side of the comb attachment (3 or 6 mm) on the miniature blade. Ensure that you hear and feel the comb attachment click into place.
3. Slide the ON/OFF switch ♦up to switch on the device.
4. Run the comb attachment over your eyebrow from the outside of the brow inwards towards your nose.
5. When you are finished with the application, slide the ON/OFF switch ⏻down to switch off the device.
6. Pull the comb attachment up and off.
7. Place the protective cap onto the miniature blade.

8. Cleaning and maintenance

Cleaning the miniature blade

Blow on the miniature blade after the application in order to clean it of hair. Fine hairs can also be removed with your fingers.

WARNING

When cleaning with your fingers, make sure that you do not injure yourself on the sharp edges of the miniature blade.

To clean the miniature blade particularly thoroughly, you can rinse it under running water. Proceed as follows:

1. Turn the head of the device slightly to the right and remove the head.

2. Hold the miniature blade under running water so that the stream of water runs over the razor blade.

1. Leave the miniature blade to dry completely before you reattach it to the device.

Cleaning the comb attachment

Blow on the comb attachment after the application in order to clean it of hair. Fine hairs can also be removed with your fingers.

To clean the comb attachment particularly thoroughly, you can rinse it under running water.

Proceed as follows:

1. Pull the comb attachment off the device.
2. Hold the comb attachment under running water.

3. Leave the comb attachment to dry completely before you reattach it to the device.

4. Ensure that no water enters the device. If this should happen, do not use the device again until it has fully dried out.

5. Protect the device from impacts, moisture, dust, chemicals, marked temperature fluctuations and nearby sources of heat (ovens, heaters).
6. Clean the device after use with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If it is very dirty, you can also moisten the cloth with a mild soapy solution. Do not use any abrasive cleaning products.

9. Disposal

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your country. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.

Batteries must not be disposed of in the household waste. They may contain poisonous heavy metals and are subject to special refuse treatment.

The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:

Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains mercury.

11. Warranty and service

Beurer GmbH, Söflinger Straße 218, 89077 Ulm, Germany (hereinafter referred to as "Beurer") provides a warranty for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows.

The warranty conditions below shall not affect the seller's statutory warranty obligations which ensue from the sales agreement with the buyer. The warranty shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability.

Beurer guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product.

The worldwide warranty period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the seller.

The warranty only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclusively for personal purposes in the context of domestic use. German law shall apply.

During the warranty period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in functionality in accordance with the following provisions, Beurer shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in accordance with these warranty conditions.

If the buyer wishes to make a warranty claim, they should approach their local retailer in the first instance: see the attached “International Service” list of service addresses.

The buyer will then receive further information about the processing of the warranty claim, e.g. where they can send the product and what documentation is required.

A warranty claim shall only be considered if the buyer can provide Beurer, or an authorised Beurer partner, with

• a copy of the invoice/purchase receipt, and
• the original product.

The following are explicitly excluded from this warranty:

• deterioration due to normal use or consumption of the product;
• accessories supplied with this product which are worn out or used up through pro per use (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, cuffs, seals, electrodes, light sources, attachments and nebuliser accessories);
• products that are used, cleaned, stored or maintained improperly and/or contrary to the provisions of the instructions for use, as well as products that have been opened, repaired or modified by the buyer or by a service centre not authorised by Beurer;
• damage that arises during transport between manufacturer and customer, or between service centre and customer;
• products purchased as seconds or as used goods;
• consequential damage arising from a fault in this product (however, in this case, claims may exist arising from product liability or other compulsory statutory liability provisions).

Repairs or an exchange in full do not extend the warranty period under any circumstances.
