The low-speed juice squeezer is used to extract juice from fruit and vegetables using a special auger. Thanks to the slow rotation, fruit and vegetables retain more taste and vitamins than in the case of high speed squeezers. The drained pulp and the squeezed juice are placed in separate containers, so that the juice is ready to drink immediately after the machine is used. The product is designed for domestic use only and may not be used in commercial applications. The correct, reliable, and safe operation of the device depends on its proper use, which entails:
Reading and keeping the entire manual before the first use of the device.
The supplier shall not be held liable for any damage resulting from failure to observe the safety regulations and recommendations specified in this manual.
ACCESSORIES
The product is delivered complete, but requires carrying out a number of preliminary actions described in further sections of the manual. Juice and pulp containers are supplied with the product. Proper container spacing is required before use.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION! Read all of the following instructions. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire, or injury.
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW
Do not use the product in an explosive environment containing flammable liquids, gases, or vapours. Set the device on flat, even, and hard surfaces. If the device is equipped with rubber feet or suction cups, select a surface type such that the feet or pads prevent the device from moving during use. Do not place the device near any heat or fire sources. Connect the device only to the power network with the voltage and frequency indicated on the nameplate of the device. The device must be plugged into an outlet with a protective contact. The plug of the power cord must match the power socket. Do not modify the plug. Do not use any power adapters to adapt the plug to the socket. An unmodified plug, which matches the socket, reduces the risk of an electric shock. After each application, unplug the power cord from the power socket. Do not disconnect the plug by pulling on the cable. Pull the plug out of the socket, always grasping it by its housing. Avoid direct contact with grounded surfaces such as piping, radiators and refrigerators. Grounding of the body increases the risk of an electric shock. The device is intended for indoor use only. Do not expose the device to any precipitation or moisture. If water and moisture enters the device, the risk of an electric shock is significantly increased. Do not immerse the product in water or any other liquid. Do not pour water into the product bowl during operation. Do not overload the power cord. Do not use the power cord to carry, connect, or disconnect the plug from the power socket. Avoid any contact between the power cord and heat sources, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts. Damage to the power cord increases the risk of an electric shock. If the power cord is damaged (e.g. it is cut, its insulation is melted), immediately unplug it from the wall socket, and return it to an authorised service facility. It is not allowed to use the product with a damaged power cord. It is not allowed to have the power cord repaired. It must be changed for a new one at an authorized service centre. When using extension cords, use extension cords with
EN
power parameters such as those shown on the device's nameplate. The cross-section of the extension wires shall not be less than the cross-section of the wires of the power cord of the device. This should be checked on the insulation of the power cord and the extension cord or contact the manufacturer of the device and/or the extension cord. Do not use an extruder with a damaged auger, filter cartridge or frame. If you notice any damage to any part of the device, you must discontinue using it. In this case, the device must be taken to an authorised service centre or replaced by yourself, if this is permitted by the user's manual. Turn off the device and unplug the power cord from the wall socket before you start any work on replacing, cleaning, or adjusting moving parts. This device may be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, mental abilities and persons with no experience or knowledge of the device, if supervised or instructed on its safe use so that the risks associated with it were understandable. Children should not play with the device. Children should not be allowed to clean or maintain the product without supervision. The device is intended for home use only. It is recommended not to exceed 30 minutes of continuous operation, after which the device should be left for about 30 minutes to cool down. During cool-down, unplug the power cord from the power socket.
USING THE PRODUCT
Selection of fi Iter cartridge
The product is equipped with three types of filter cartridges.
Rare juice filter - the cartridge is equipped with smaller openings. It allows to obtain juice with a very low content of pulp.
Dense juice filter - the cartridge is equipped with larger openings. It allows to obtain juice with pulp.
Ice cream filter - the cartridge has no openings. It allows the pulp to be ground and the juice to be kept in it. This pulp can be used to make ice cream. This cartridge does not produce juice.
Product assembly and disassembly
The product must be assembled according to the below instructions. Only correct assembly ensures efficient and safe operation.
CAUTION! Turn off the device and disconnect it from the power supply during all installation operations.
Remove the product from its packaging, remove all parts and then wash all parts in contact with the food according to the instructions in the section entitled "Product maintenance".
Set the drive housing according to the instructions. When selecting the location, space should be provided for placing the containers for the pulp and juice.
The bowl of the squeezer has two outlets. The round outlet with plug is used for draining off the squeezed juice. The rectangular outlet is used to drain off the pulp. This outlet has a flexible inner stopper.
CAUTION! The plug must always be pressed into the outlet opening (II) during operation. Failure to do so may result in leakage, which may be the cause of product damage, electric shock and injury.
The plug makes it easy to clean the bowl.
Place the bowl on the drive housing. The bowl in the base has openings to fit with the tabs in the drive housing (III).
Insert the selected cartridge into the frame with blades. The blades inside the frame should rest on the filter cartridge (IV) with their full edge.
Insert the frame cartridge into the bowl. The mark on the edge of the filter cartridge should indicate the centre of the holder housing (V).
Slide the auger into the filter cartridge (VI). The upper surface of the auger should be parallel to the upper edge of the filter cartridge.
Cover the bowl with the lid. The cover shall be in contact with the edge of the bowl throughout its circumference. Place the lid so that the tongue is close to the product handle, then turn the lid as far as it will go towards the handle so that the tongue of the lid fits completely into the product handle (VII). The product has a fuse that will not allow it to be switched on if the cover is closed incorrectly.
Place containers (VIII) under the juice and pulp outlet openings.
The product is ready for use.
To disassemble, perform these operations in the reverse order. Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet before disassembly.
EN
Juicing
Fruit and vegetables shall be washed and divided into smaller pieces than the inlet opening so that they can be easily placed in the inlet opening. Fruit and vegetables with thick skin or which are not normally eaten should be peeled off. All seeds and hard, unfit parts of fruit and vegetables must also be removed.
Connect the product to the power supply and switch it on.
The on/off switch allows you to set three positions:
O - device switched off,
ON - the auger rotates in a direction that makes it possible to squeeze the juice,
R - the auger rotates in the opposite direction to the normal operation. In this position, hold the switch in the ON position. Releasing the pressure on the switch will return the switch to the off position - O. Use this product function only when a jam occurs that causes the auger to slow down or stop.
Wait until the rotation is complete and then insert the fruit or vegetables through the inlet opening.
CAUTION! If the device begins to vibrate after switching it on, if it makes an unusual sound, or shows any other signs of malfunction, switch it off immediately, unplug it, and check for the cause of the malfunction.
For maximum juice yield, push the fruit or vegetables in the squeezer using the provided pusher. The shape of the pusher is adapted to the shape of the inlet opening. Do not attempt to insert the pusher in the opposite direction, it may cause the pusher to get stuck in the throw-in hole.
CAUTION! It is forbidden to press fruit or vegetables with any other means than the provided pusher. Especially using fingers, hands or cutlery. It is also forbidden to use the pusher from another model of squeezer. The auger may catch your fingers, hand or other object and cause serious injury and/or damage to the product.
When squeezing the juice, check constantly that the juice and pulp containers are not full and empty them if necessary. The juice outlet opening has a plug. The plug should be open during operation (IX). It may only be closed while the juice container is being emptied. If the plug is closed during operation, the bowl will overfill with juice, which can lead to juice leakage and electric shock.
If, during operation, the auger stops, for example due to placing too hard a fruit or vegetable in a bowl of product. You can first try changing the speed of the auger by pressing and holding the switch in the "R" position and then resuming operation. If this does not work, turn the product off using the switch, unplug the power cord from the socket, then remove the product and remove the cause of the jam from the product bowl.
Before resuming operation, check that no parts of the product have been damaged.
When you have finished squeezing the juice, turn off the product using the switch, wait for the rotation to stop completely, unplug the power cord from the socket, remove the device and proceed with maintenance.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Caution! As the product is used for food preparation, maintenance must be carried out as soon as work is completed. Only proper maintenance will ensure the proper level of hygiene.
When you have finished squeezing the juice, turn off the product, wait for rotation to stop completely, unplug the power cord from the wall socket, disassemble the device and proceed with maintenance. The product should be cleaned immediately after use. Dried fruit and vegetable residues can clog the openings of the filter cartridge, which can lead to a loss of performance or even damage the product. If this happens, immerse the filter cartridge in warm water with dishwashing liquid and leave it to soak, then clean with a soft brush and water with dishwashing liquid. Do not use metal brushes or dishwashers to clean the filter cartridge.
Excessive cleaning pressure may damage the cartridge walls.
In addition to the filter cartridge, all the parts that can be removed from the drive housing can also be immersed: bowl, juice and pulp containers, bowl lid, pusher, frame with blades. All the above parts should be washed in the same way as the filter cartridge. For cleaning, open the two plugs on the inside of the pulp outlet and the outside of the juice outlet. The plugs may only be closed after the bowl has been cleaned and completely dried.
Clean the device housing with a soft cloth dampened with a water and mild detergent solution. Wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Make sure all parts are cleaned and dried before connecting the device to the power supply. Store the product in dry, shaded conditions. Protect the storage place from unauthorised access, especially by children. Store the product in the unit packaging provided with the product. Do not place anything on the product.
