GB
cause fire and/or electric shock. The location for setting the device should be chosen so that the steam jet can freely humidify the air in the room. Warning! The steam outlet must not be obstructed. A minimum of 0.5m free space above the device must be maintained so that the steam jet can escape freely. Select the location which will ensure that the power cord does not pose a risk of tripping or moving the device. When filling and cleaning the device, remove the device's power plug. Fill the device's tank with cold water only - water temperature should not exceed 35^ . Filling with hot water can cause burns and deformation of the plastic tank. Do not use flammable substances such as alcohols or solvents to fill the tank. The device's tank should be filled so that the water level does not exceed the maximum level marked on the tank wall. Overfilling the tank is forbidden. Only pure water or water mixed with a fragrance may be poured into the tank. If fragrances are used, they must be added to water outside the device, mixed and then poured into the device's tank. Use only fragrances designed for ultrasonic devices. The fragrances must be mixed with water in the proportions specified in the instructions accompanying the fragrance. Read the entire content of the fragrance instructions before use. After each application, unplug the power cord plug from the socket. The water tank cannot be opened during use. Do not use the device if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage, or if it is leaking. It is important to be aware that high humidity levels can promote the growth of biological organisms in the surroundings. Do not allow the area around the humidifier to become wet or damp. If moisture is discovered, turn off the humidifier. Use the humidifier in intervals if it cannot be switched off. Moisture-absorbing materials such as carpets, curtains, drapes or tablecloths should not be allowed to become damp. Do not leave water in the tank when the device is not operating. Empty and clean the humidifier before storage. Clean the humidifi er before next use.
USING THE DEVICE
Preparing the device for use
Unpack the device and remove all packaging components. It is recommended to keep the packaging for later storage. Clean the water tank, the lid, and housing according to the instructions found in the "Device maintenance" section.
Put the power cord plug into the socket on the base of the device (II). Do not connect the plug at the other end of the cord to the power supply yet. Set the device in the location where it will be used. Remove / open the device's lid (III). Fill the device's tank with water or a mixture of water and fragrance. Reattach / close the lid so
GB
that it fits the device housing's entire circumference (IV). Connect the device to the power supply by inserting the power cord plug into the socket. The device is ready for use.
Warning! Never move the device with a filled tank.
Using the device
The device has two buttons. The button with "MIST" or "MIST/TIMER" written on it is used to start the emission of the steam jet. Pressing this button again will switch to the next steam jet emission mode, which will be indicated by lighting up the mode designation. The "ON" or "CONT" mode means continuous emission of the steam jet.
WARNING! Do not exceed 6 hours of continuous steam emission. After this time, switch off the device for at least one hour.
The mode is described by the number and letter H (e.g. 1H) and indicates the number of hours after which the device will automatically switch the steam emission off.
The device is switched off by pressing the "MIST" or "MIST/TIMER" button several times so that none of the operating modes are illuminated. The steam emission will be stopped and the quiet hum of the device's fans will no longer be heard.
The device has a sensor to check whether there is water in the tank. If a lack of water is detected in the tank, the device will not start the ultrasonic generator.
The "LIGHT" button turns on the backlight and allows to control it. The first press of the button activates the automatic backlight colour change mode, the next press stops the automatic backlight colour change and leaves the backlight in the selected colour. The next press of the "LIGHT" button changes the intensity and colour of the backlight. The backlight is switched off by pressing and holding the "LIGHT" button until the backlight is switched off.
Remote control operation
The remote control is powered by a battery whose type and method of replacement is shown on the remote control housing. Aim the front of the remote control at the device approximately where the device buttons are located, and then press one of the buttons. There must be no obstacles between the remote control and the device which would obstruct infrared radiation.
The ON/OFF button is used to turn the device on and off.
The "Intermittent" button starts the intermittent operation of the device: 10 seconds of steam emission, and then a 10-second break. During the break, the ultrasonic generator is switched off, but the steam accumulated during the generator's operation can still escape from the device. This mode is used to reduce the emission of steam when such intensive humidifi cation is not required.
The "Continuous" button described starts the continuous steam emission mode.
The "Timing" button starts the mode in which the device emits steam for a certain period of time and then switches off. The selected time is indicated by backlighting the description of the selected mode on the device's housing.
The "Big/small" button allows to select the intensity of the steam jet.
The "Light" button allows to turn on the backlight and control it. The operation is the same as using the button located in the device's housing.
DEVICE MAINTENANCE
Caution! All maintenance works must be carried out with the device's electric power supply disconnected. Pull the plug from the power socket and disconnect the cord from the device.
Carefully open/remove the lid and pour water out of the device's tank. Water should be removed from the tank not less frequently than every three days. Do not keep the water in the tank due to the possibility of growth of microorganisms. Before refilling, clean the tank with clean water. Remove any scale, sediments or film which
GB
has accumulated on the walls or inside the tank. Then wipe the tank dry. Pour one tablespoonful of citric acid into the tank and 100ml of warm water with the temperature not exceeding 70^ . Mix the acid and leave the solution in the tank for 5 minutes. Next, empty the tank, rinse with clean water, and wipe dry omitting the opening in the bottom of the tank under which the ultrasonic generator is mounted. This manner of maintaining the tank will allow to keep it clean, reduce the growth of microorganisms, and prevent the build-up of scale in the tank. Never use solvents, acids, or alcohol for cleaning. Clean the base and the lid with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid. After cleaning, leave the lid and the base with the tank to dry completely. Store the device in a place protected from dust, moisture, and direct sunlight. Before first use, wipe the inside of the tank with a damp cloth.
