Getting started
- Take the appliance out of the box.
- Remove all the packaging from the product.
- Place the packaging inside the box or dispose of it safely in compliance with the waste sorting instructions shown on the product packaging.
Safety warning and notice
You must read and understand all the instructions before using this appliance. The warranty will not apply if damage is caused by failure to follow the instructions.

- Never remove the appliance casing.
- Never place this appliance on top of other electrical equipment.
- Protect the power cord from being stepped on or pinched, particularly at the plugs, sockets, and the point where it exits the appliance. Make sure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage shown on the rating plate at the rear of the appliance. Always pull the plug from the socket when disconnecting from the mains. Never pull on the cord. Ensure you have completed all the other connections before connecting the mains plug.

Entrust all appliance repairs to qualified repairers. Repair is needed when the appliance has been damaged in any fashion, and in particular:

The series panel is located on the bottom of the appliance.
- Never block the air vents.
- Make sure you have enough space for ventilation. Place the product on a stable surface.
- This device must be used in a moderate climate, away from direct sunlight, naked flames or heat, heating devices, cookers or any other devices (including amplifiers) that generate heat. Do not install near a heat source.
- The batteries (battery pack or inserted batteries) must not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunshine, fire, etc.
- Always unplug the device before cleaning it. Never lubricate any part of this appliance.
Clean it with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive products or harsh cleaners.
- Ensure that you always have easy access to the power cord, plug or adapter to disconnect this appliance from the mains if necessary.
- Do not use this appliance near water. It must not be dripped on or splashed. Do not use this appliance in a damp or wet environment.
- Disconnect this appliance in the event of a storm or if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and over, and by persons with a physical or sensory disability, learning difficulties or a lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance, and they understand the risks involved. Children must not play with the appliance or the power cord (risk of strangulation). Children must not clean or maintain the appliance without supervision.
- This device must only be supplied with very low safety voltage corresponding to the marking on the device.
- The battery should be removed from the device before disposal. The device must be disconnected from the power supply when removing the battery.
- The product must be at a minimum distance of 20~cm from the human body in operation.
- This device is for household use only; do not use outdoors.

Press to turn on/change the audio source; press and hold to turn it off.
Press to move to the next track; press and hold to increase the volume.
Press to return to the previous track; press and hold to turn down the volume.
Select the audio input mode (Bluetooth -> Optical -> TV Audio -> AUX -> USB); press and hold to return the treble and bass to their factory settings.

TV Connection

Method A. 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable connection
- Connect the 3.5mm output of the sound source (TV, Player) to the 3.5mm input of the soundbar.
- Select the yellow LED by pressing the AUX button on the remote control.
Method B. Optical cable connection
- Connect the optical input of the soundbar to a sound source (TV, player, etc.) using an optical cable.
- Press the "OPTICAL" button on the remote control, and the LED will turn WHITE.
- Set the TV's audio output to "PCM". (More information on the PCM page)
If the TV sound is inaudible, press the "OPTICAL" button on the remote control or at the top of the soundbar to switch to OPTICAL mode. The LED will turn white and the TV we emit sound.
Method C. Connecting using a TV cable
- Connect the TV port of the soundbar to the TV output port of the TV using a high-speed TV cable.
- Select the green LED indicator by pressing the AUX button on the remote control.
- Set the TV's audio output to "PCM". (More information on the PCM page.)
Setting the "PCM" on your TV
If no sound comes out of the TV or soundbar even though all cables are properly connected and the colour of the LED indicator is correct (optical connection or TV), adjust your TV settings as follows:
- Press the Menu button on the TV remote control.
- Select "Audio Settings".
- Select "Advanced Audio" - Some TVs do not have an "Advanced Audio" menu and may display different audio settings.
- Select "Audio Output Mode" or "Digital Audio Output Mode".
- Select "PCM" as the audio output mode.
- Press "OK" to save the settings.
Digital audio output settings may differ by brand, please check your TV's instruction manual.
Bluetooth operation
- Turn on the soundbar and select Bluetooth mode using the button on the side of the soundbar or remote control. The indicator turns blue.
- Use the settings function of your source device (mobile phone, tablet, etc.). and search for Bluetooth devices nearby: you will find "SB552BTS" in the list.
- Pair your device with "SB552BTS".
- Play the audio tracks on your device and adjust the volume according to preference.
- Double tap quickly to disconnect Bluetooth.
Note: the maximum connection distance is approximately 10 metres. Place your Bluetooth speaker as close as possible to the device to avoid the connection being disrupted.
USB operation
- Insert a USB stick into the back of the soundbar.
- Press the USB button on the remote control or the Source button on the soundbar. The led will turn pink and the USB source will be played.
Troubleshooting

WARNING: risk of hearing impairment

Set a low volume on the playback device before connecting the headphones to the sound source.
To prevent hearing damage, avoid excessive volume, particularly over extended periods or frequent use. Excessive volume can result in permanent hearing impairment.
This product contains one or more batteries.
- Use batteries correctly to prevent any injury or fire caused by a leak, overheating, explosion, erosion or other damage.
- Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children or any vulnerable person. Stop using the device if the battery compartment does not close properly.
- If the liquid from an alkaline battery comes into contact with the skin and/or eyes, rinse immediately with fresh water and consult a physician.
If an alkaline battery leaks, wipe up the liquid with a cloth and replace the battery with a new one. - Do not swallow batteries. If swallowed, a battery can cause severe internal burns in 2 hours and can cause death. If batteries are swallowed, contact a poison centre immediately and consult a physician.
- Use AA Ni-MH, alkaline or lithium batteries.
- Do not charge these batteries. Charging non-rechargeable batteries causes gas and/or heat emissions that can cause explosions and/or fires.
- Do not use different types of batteries or a mixture of new and old batteries.
- Insert the batteries according to the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not put the same battery poles in contact with each other.
- Remove dead batteries quickly. There is a risk of the battery exploding if it is not replaced correctly or if the appliance is unused for a period of time.
- Replace the battery with an identical or equivalent model.
- The batteries (or battery pack) must not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunlight, fire, etc.
- Do not heat batteries or dispose of them in fire or water.
- Do not use metal pliers or metal objects such as the point of a pen or tweezers to remove batteries. Avoid deforming, crushing or piercing batteries.
- Do not disassemble the batteries.
- Cover the ends of the batteries with tape to prevent explosions and combustion when these are scrapped.
- Scrap batteries and an environmentally friendly way.
- Do not dispose of batteries in ordinary household waste.
- Be sure to comply with the local regulations in force when scrapping batteries.

Additional information
- When the appliance does not transmit audio output for a certain amount of time, it will automatically go into standby mode to save energy. It can be switched ON by using the POWER selector.
- If an incoming call is received and answered while the SB552BTS system is connected to your mobile phone during music playback, the music will pause and resume after the call ends. Depending on the mobile phone, playback may sometimes stay paused after the end of the call.
