USER MANUAL MZP15 Monzana
- The product requires a power supply of 240 V~50 Hz. Please check that the appropriate power supply is available before use.
- Be sure to disconnect the power supply before dismantling / reassembling or adjusting the product.
- To avoid danger, if the appliance is damaged contact our Customer Service team or send the appliance to one of our authorised service centres for replacement, and do not attempt to replace it without our authorisation.
- Do not bury the mains cable. Lay the cable in such a way that it will not be damaged by lawn mowers, hedge trimmers or other such equipment.
- Before each use of the pump, ensure that all clamps are tight and that all hoses are properly connected.
- Do not use this pump to empty the pool.
- This pump is intended for use with storable pools only. It must not be used for pools that are permanently installed. Improper use will lead to overheating, which will burn out the motor and cause damage. MANUAL EN10 www.DEUBAXXL.de
- Do not let the pump run dry.
- To prevent the pump from falling over accidentally, it must be fastened to the ground or to a base.
- The pump must not be used when people are in the water.
- Never put the pump in an area in which water could accumulate or in an area in which there is constant foot traffic around the pool.
- Always remove the mains plug if leaving the pump unsupervised.
- Weather conditions could affect the performance and service life of your pump. Unnecessary wear could occur during cold spells, particularly hot weather and due to exposure to sunlight. Protect the pump from such conditions as far as possible.
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION – ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- ATTENTION! Read all safety information and instructions. Failure to follow the safety information and instructions may cause electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
- Ensure that water cannot get inside the appliance. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Do not use the appliance if the mains plug, mains cable or any other part of the appliance is defective or damaged.
- Do not remove the mains plug from the socket by pulling the power cord.
- Never insert or remove the mains plug with wet hands.
- This appliance may be used by children over the age of 8 and by individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance and understand the risks involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Do not allow children to clean the appliance or perform user maintenance without supervision.
- Do not use any electrical appliances in potentially explosive atmospheres, e.g. in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical appliances produce sparks that could ignite the dust or exhaust fumes. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
- The plugs of electrical appliances must be compatible with the socket. Never change the plug. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed electrical appliances. Original plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed objects such as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators. There is a greater risk of electric shock if your body comes into contact with an earthed object.
- Use the cable only for its intended purpose. Never use the cable to carry, pull or unplug the electrical appliance. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged or entangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
- The pump must be supplied via a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current of maximum 30 mA.
- The pump must be installed at least 2 m from the pool and the mains connection must be 3.5 m from the pool. The installation of electrical appliances must comply with local and national electrical regulations.
- The use of extension cables is not permitted.11 www.DEUBAXXL.de RESIDUAL DANGERS Warning – electrical voltage Before carrying out any work on the appliance, remove the mains plug from the mains socket! Unplug the power cord from the mains socket by grasping the mains plug. Warning Dangers can arise from this appliance if it is used improperly or for an unintended purpose by untrained individuals! Observe the staff qualifications! Warning The appliance is not a toy and should not be handled by children. Danger of suffocation! Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly. It could become a dangerous toy for children. INTENDED USE The pool pump is used to clean pool water (designed for above-ground pools). It is not intended to remove or neutralise algae, bacteria and other pathogens/ germs, etc. Healthy pool water can only be achieved when combined with the right pool chemicals and water care products. This system removes suspended solids and similar substances in the water. A floor extraction system is also important, as the system can only filter suspended substances. Use the product only for the purpose it is intended for. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by unintended use. Any modification to the product may negatively impact safety, cause hazards and invalidate the warranty. Only suitable for domestic use; not for commercial use. UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS Open the box and remove the product. After unpacking, please check the product for damage and to ensure it is complete. Subsequent complaints cannot be accepted. 1. Take the pump and the hoses out of the packaging.
2. Place the pump at least 0.2 m below the water level.
3. The pump must be mounted on firm and level ground.
4. Insert the filter cartridge in the filter chamber. (Ensure that the filter cartridge is seated
5. Put the O-ring of the filter housing on the filter chamber.
6. Put the lid of the filter housing on the filter chamber.
7. Then tighten the bracket for the filter chamber lid clockwise with your fingers.
8. Carefully turn the vent valve 1 to 2 turns anti-clockwise.
9. Connect the filter hose to the inlet connection of the pump (top) and the lower hose
connection of the pool. Use hose clips to fasten the hose.
10. Connect the second filter hose to the upper hose connection of the pool and the outlet
connection (bottom) of the pump. Use hose clips to fasten the hose. COMMISSIONING
1. Ensure that the pool is filled with water, that the inlet and outlet valves of the pool are below
the water level, and that all connections are correctly attached.
2. Carefully open the vent valve by turning it 1-2 turns. When water flows into the pump, the
water pressure allows all residual air to escape from the pump and the filter housing.
3. Close the vent valve again.
4. Connect the mains plug in order to operate the pump.
- To guarantee clean pool water, a minimum daily operating time of eight hours is recommended.
- The sound pressure level is below 82dB(A).
- The maximum total delivery head is 0.9 m (for pumps with a nominal power consumption of more than 50W)
MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Always switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug before carrying out maintenance or inspection work. Check all the parts for signs of wear. Do not continue to use the product if you find any defects. Only have parts replaced with original spare parts by a specialist in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. A lack of care and maintenance can damage the appliance. Dangerous situations can arise. To ensure electrical safety, the appliance must not be immersed in liquids. Regular maintenance helps to ensure the safety of the product and increases its service life. General maintenance
1. Depending on use, it is recommended that two filter cartridges be kept available as spare
2. No lubrication or routine mechanical maintenance is necessary.
3. Wash out the filter with a mild cleaning agent and water. Rinse with water.13

Cleaning and replacing filter media
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the pump.
2. Replace the strainers in the inlet and outlet valves of the pool with plugs to prevent water
3. Remove the filter chamber lid by turning it anti-clockwise.
4. Clean the used filter cartridge or replace it if necessary.
5. If you find dirt or deposits on the bottom of the housing, rinse the housing with water.
6. Put the bracket for the filter chamber lid back in its position and fasten it to the filter housing
by turning it clockwise. IMPORTANT: For hygiene reasons, we recommend replacing the filter cartridge with a new one every two weeks. Winter storage and longer-term storage
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the pump.
2. Replace the strainers in the inlet and outlet valves of the pool with plugs to prevent water
3. Remove the filter cartridge.
4. Unclip all of the hoses.
5. Dry all components with care.
6. Store the filter pump in a dry place, out of the reach of children. Storage temperature: 4-40
°C. TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Solution Pump is not running Check for blown fuses, circuit breakers or broken electrical wires. Check the motor. Switch off the motor if it is too hot. Let the motor cool down. Get in touch with Customer Service Motor is running but does not pump water or water flow is too low Check whether the intake hose or the drain hose is blocked. Tighten the hose clips, check the hoses for damage, check the water level in the pool. Clean the filter cartridge frequently. Replace the filter cartridge. Get in touch with Customer Service The pump’s output is decreasing Ensure that the water level in the pool is at least 5 cm above the bottom of the skimmer when the system is not in operation. Ensure that the intake line is tight. Check whether the filter cartridge is dirty and whether it needs to be cleaned. Get in touch with Customer Service14 www.DEUBAXXL.de The filter is not cleaning the pool Adjust the chlorine and pH values. Clean or replace the filter cartridge. Let the pump run longer. Clean the drain strainer on the pool wall to remove any impurities. Get in touch with Customer Service DISPOSAL At the end of your item’s long service life, please dispose of the valuable raw materials properly so that proper recycling can take place. If you are not sure how best to proceed, the local waste disposal companies or recycling centres will be happy to help.
