●Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
Intendeduse
This KIDS' EAR DEFENDERS (hereinafter referred to as "product") is designed to help reduce exposure to hazardous noise levels and loud sounds.
Suitable for all children and teenagers between 6 - 14 years old.
These products are classed as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the European PPE new regulation (EU) 2016/425 and have been shown to comply with this regulation through the harmonized European Standard EN352-1:2002: Earmuff.
Tested & certified and product surveillance by PZT GmbH (NB: 1974) Bismarckstraße 264 B, D-26389 Wilhelmshaven, Deutschland - Germany
The product is not intended for commercial use. The manufacturer is not liable for any damages caused by any use other than for the intended purpose. Only wear it as being described in the user manual.

These earmuffs are of « small size range ». Earmuffs complying with EN 352-1 are of « medium size range » or « small size range » or « large size range ». « Medium size range » earmuffs will fit the majority of wearers. « Small size range » or « large size range » earmuffs are designed to fit wearers for whom « medium size range » earmuffs are not suitable.

Safety notes
PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO USE! PLEASE KEEP THE INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE!
Check the earmuff cushions, arm connection points and the hard plastic earmuff before each use. If the earmuff cushions are stiff, torn, or damaged, or if the earmuff or arm connection points are damaged or warn in any way, discard the earmuffs and select a new pair.
■ Do not modify or repair this product.
■ The product installed in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage.
■ Wear the product at all times in noisy surroundings.
If the recommendations given are not adhered to, the protection afforded by the earmuffs will be severely impaired
- When worn, the product reduce ambient sounds which may affect warning signals and vital communication.
■ Proper selection, training, use and appropriate maintenance are essential in order for the product to help protect the wearer from noise hazards.
■ The product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be sought from the manufacturer
■ The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushion may affect the acoustic performance of the product.
CAUTION
Earmuffs must be worn properly to reduce noise effectively. Read and follow all fitting and use instructions. Failure to follow fitting instructions may result in hearing loss. Do not modify your earmuffs. You may get
much less protection and may develop a hearing loss if you bend, alter, or modify any part of the headband, earmuffs, inserts or earmuff cushions. The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs.

●Fittinginstructions
ATTENTION! BRUSH EXCESS HAIR ASIDE AND REMOVE ANY EAR JEWELLERY OR SPECTACLES THAT MAY AFFECT ACOUSTIC SEAL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO FIT THE NOISE PROTECTION HEADPHONES.
■ Pull the earmuffs 2 apart and place the product over the ears so that the cushions 3 completely sealing around the ears (see Fig.B)
- For optimum noise reduction the cushions should form a snug fit against the head.
■ Slide the earmuffs up or down to find the position where the earmuffs completely cover your ears. When properly installed and adjusted, the earmuffs should not touch the headgear shell or visor surround.
- Check the seal of the earmuff cushions around the temples of your eyeglasses. If you don't get a good seal around your glasses, you may get less protection from noise.
- Check the fit by talking out loud. Your voice should sound hollow, like you are talking in a barrel. The noises around you should not sound as loud as they did before you put the earmuffs on.
The wearer should ensure:
The earmuffs are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
■ The earmuffs are worn at all times in noisy surroundings
■ The earmuffs are regularly inspected for serviceability
●Cleaningandcare
■ Use a dry / slightly dampened, soft and lint-free cloth with mild detergent for cleaning and care.
- Fold up the earmuffs for easy, convenient storage.
●Storage
■ Store the product in a dry environment, protected from dust and direct sunlight.
●Disposal
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials, which you be disposed through your local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1 - 7: plastics / 20 - 22: paper and fibreboard / 80 - 98: composite materials.

●Warranty and service
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of material or manufacturing defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt in a safe location as this document is required as proof of purchase.
Any damage or defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.
Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear and tear, thus considered consumables (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, tubes, cartridges), nor damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches or glass parts.
