USER MANUAL HL 400 Heylo
EC Declaration of Conformity, IIA In conformity with EC Machine Directive 2006/42/EC,
For device series: Air cleaner Type: HL 400
HEYLO GmbH, Im Finigen 9, 28832 Achim, Germany, declares that, if they are fitted, maintained and used in conformity with the operating instructions and the generally accepted engineering standards, the machines mentioned are in keeping with the fundamental safety and health requirements of the “Machine Ordinance” as well as with the regulations and standards mentioned hereinafter. Applicable EC directives: Safety of machines 2006/42/EC Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) 2014/30/EU RoHS 2011/65/EU The declaration loses its validity in case of unauthorized changes to the machines. Applied or partly applied standards:
ATTENTION: Always read before commissioning! Please carefully follow the instructions in the operating manual. Non-observance will invalidate the warranty. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage or consequential damage arising from this. The HL 400 is a mobile air filtration unit. The air is drawn in from the environment and passed through a multi-stage filtration system. The filter stages consist of a pre-filter, two 2in1 combi-filters for gases and particles as well as a plasma generator and a UV lamp. The individual stages have the following functions: Stage 1 Pre-filter An aluminium filter is used as a pre-filter. The pre-filter filters coarse dust particles of more than 5 micrometres, such as house dust, dandruff, pollen. The filter can be washed out with water and can therefore be used several times. HEYLO recommends replacing the pre-filter annually 2nd + 3rd stage Charcoal filter: The formaldehyde filter with activated carbon cleans the air of unwanted odours, gases and substances. It also cleans the air of harmful formaldehyde. The substances are absorbed by the activated carbon. Variant 1: H14 filter according to EN1822 HEPA filters of class H14 are used, among other things, in medical areas such as intensive care units and laboratories, in clean rooms and in other hygienic areas. The respective application is decisive for the selection of the filter class. The filters are EN-compliant and certified. H14 filters catch 99.995 % of all suspended particles from a size of 0.1 µm, so that virus filtering is possible and e.g. coronaviruses are rendered harmless. Variant 2: E11 filter according to EN1822 EPA filters of class E11 are used in living and working areas, among others. The respective application is decisive for the selection of the filter class. The filters are EN-compliant and certified. E11 filters capture 99.5 % of all suspended particles from a size of 0.1 µm, thus enabling dust, bacteria and pollen filtration. 4th stage Sterilising UVA light UV sterilisation with 365 nanometre UV wavelength light can kill a variety of airborne bacteria. The UV disinfection lamp is usually used for air, surface and water disinfection. It can purify the air, eliminate musty odours as well as produce a limited amount of anions. This makes the air fresh and avoids the spread of viruses in the air or on surfaces viruses. According to the World Health Organization, the corona virus, bird flu virus, influenza virus and legionella bacteria are all larger than 20 nanometers.
5th stage Ionisation By applying strong electric fields, ionisers can electrically charge individual air particles and thus increase the ion concentration in the room air. The charged particles are more reactive and can thus destroy odour molecules and other pollutants. At the same time, differently charged particles attract each other and form larger clumps that sink to the ground faster and are easier to filter out of the air.15

4. Application / Areas of application
Numerous pathogens are normally found in untreated indoor air. This group includes mold spores, bacteria, animal hair and, above all, house dust allergens (mite feces, excrement), but also heavy metals, soot and mineral fibers. Particularly on warm days or during the heating period, large quantities of these suspended particles develop and are swirled around with the house dust in the room air. After being absorbed through the respiratory tract, the particles then come into contact with our mucous membranes and trigger the familiar allergy symptoms. HEYLO air purifiers can significantly reduce the concentration of these suspended particles and gases to produce healthy indoor air.16
The devices are typically used in the following areas: Private homes, offices, conference and training rooms, schools and government offices, medical practices and fitness centers. In all areas where people are present, the devices can significantly improve air quality. In areas where pathogens such as bacteria and viruses may be present, the risk of infection can be reduced.
5. Putting into service / operation
To turn the device on/off, press the power button to start the device. Start it in automatic mode. In this operating mode, the motor speed is controlled by a sensor. The speed of the fan motor regulates itself automatically in three stages, depending on the air quality. The more particles there are in the air, the higher the speed of the fan motor. To switch off, press the key again and the device goes into stand-by mode Press the "Speed" button to change the fan speed. You can select 3 air performance levels by tapping repeatedly. Ionization function: The "Anion" button is used to switch the ionization function on and off. The "UV" button is used to switch the UV sterilisation function on and off. Press the "Sleep" button to manually operate the unit at the quietest level. The automatic mode is then terminated. All lights and displays will switch off and the fan will run at the lowest speed. NOTE: The second function of the sleep button is to reset the filter replacement indicator. When it is on, press the button for 3-5 seconds and the filter indicator is reset. NOTE: the filter indicator is only active during operation. In stand-by mode, the light indicates the WIFI status. When the unit is switched on, you can use the "Timer" button to let the unit run automatically for a certain time. The period can be selected from 30 minutes to 12 hours. You press the button repeatedly until the desired time appears in the display. 5 seconds after the last press, the unit switches back to the air quality display. (PM2.5 value). To switch the timer function off again, press the button for 5 seconds. If you only press briefly, you can read the remaining timer time.17
