  • The operating instruc- tions constitute part of this product. They contain im- portant information on safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, fa- miliarise yourself with all of the operating and safety instruc- tions. Use the product only as described and for the applica- tions specied. Keep this manual safely and in the event that the product is passed on, hand over all docu- ments to the third party. Intended purpose This equipment is not suitable for commercial use. Commercial use will invalidate the guarantee. Any other use that is not expli- citly approved in these instruc- tions may result in damage to the equipment and represent a serious danger to the user. Description of functions The rechargeable automatic hot glue pen has a temperature indicator and a button for dis- pensing the adhesive. Do not use the charger if defective and do not open it yourself. This ensures the safety of the device is maintained. d) Make sure that the mains voltage matches the details on the char- ger’s type plate. Risk of electric shock. e) Disconnect the charger from the mains supply before closing or ope- ning connections to the electric tool. This ensu- res the rechargeable battery and charger are not damaged. f) Keep the charger clean andawayfrommoistu- re and rain. Never use the charger outdoors. Charging process Do not expose the battery to extreme conditions such as heat and shocks. There is a risk of injury caused by leaking electrolyte soluti- on! In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse the af- fected sites with water or a neutralising agent and seek medical attention. The battery must only be charged up in dry areas. There is a risk of personal inju- ries from an electric shock.

  • The device may only be powered with SELV (Safety Ex- tra Low Voltage) as indicated by the label on the appliance.
  • Charge the battery before using it for the rst time.
  • To charge the Li-ion battery integrated in the device, use only the WJG-Y130502400WU1 power adapter. The power adapter is available from our online shop.
  • For charging use only and the risk of re. h) Avoid mechanical da- mage to the charger. This can lead to inter- nal short circuits.

1. Plug a power adapter into

a socket. Insert the USB plug ( 10) of the charging cable into the power adapter.

2. Connect the charging cable

connector (9) to the charging socket (7) on the device.

4. Once charging is complete,

the glue stick chamber (6).

2. Turn the device on (see

“Switching on/off”).

3. Allow the device to heat up.

Do not press the button (5) while the device is heating up. The temperature indic- ator (2) switches to green as soon as the device is ready. As long as the temper- ature indicator (2) is red, the device has not rea- ched the operating temperatu- re required for gluing.

  • The glue and nozzle heat up to 150°C. There is a danger of burns! If hot glue comes into contact with your skin, hold the affected area under cold water straight away for several minutes. Do not at- tempt to remove the hot glue from the skin. If necessary, seek medical assistance. Only use any accessories that are recommended by Parkside.
  • Only use glue sticks with31 IEGB a low melting temperature (110-150°C). Do not use glue sticks suitable for higher operating temperat- ures (170-200°C).
  • Bonds can dissolve due to the effects of moisture.
  • Keep bonds clean, dry and free of grease.
  • Do not use any ammable or combustible materials.
  • Only work in operating tem- peratures between 5°C and 50°C. Cleaning and maintenance Ask our service centre to carry out any work that is not described in these instructions. Use only original parts. Cleaning Perform the following cleaning work regularly. This will guar- antee long and reliable use. The device must not be sprayed with water or placed in water. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
  • Keep the housing and handles of the device clean. Use a damp cloth or brush to do this. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. You may other- wise irreparably damage the appliance.
  • Clean the nozzle (1) with a blunt object as soon as the glue and nozzle have cooled sufciently. Maintenance The equipment is maintenance free. Storage
  • Store the device in a dry and dustproof location and out of reach of children.
  • Only store the batteries in the partially-charged state. The charge status should amount to 40-60% during a lengthy storage period (1-2 LEDs are on).
  • Store the device between 10°C and 25°C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during storage, so that the batteries do not lose power.GB
  • Check the battery charge status approximately every 3 months during a lengthy storage period and recharge if necessary. Disposal/ environmental protection The device, accessories and packaging should be properly recycled. Machines do not belong with domestic waste. Li-ion Do not dispose of the device with a built-in battery in the household waste, a re (risk of explosion) or water. Damaged batteries can harm the environment and your health if poisonous fumes or liquids escape.
  • Dispose of the device with the battery discharged. Do not open the device or battery.
  • Dispose of the device in ac- cordance with the local reg- ulations. Return the device to a collection point from where it can be submitted for environmentally com- patible recycling. For more information, please contact your local waste manage- ment provider or our service centre.
  • We will dispose of any de- fective devices that you send to us free of charge. Guarantee Dear Customer, This equipment is provided with a 3-year guarantee from the date of purchase.
