Application The EHEIM thermopreset is an automatic underwater heater for aquariums. The thermostat is permanently set to 25°C ±1°C.English

The appliance and all parts included in the scope of delivery are intended for private use and must only be used: ‧ for aquarium-related purposes ‧ indoors ‧ in compliance with the technical data The following limitations apply to the appliance: ‧ do not use for commercial or industrial purposes ‧ do not heat caustic, in󰘱ammable, aggressive or explosive sub

stances, food or drinking water ‧ the water temperature may not exceed 35°C ‧ never operate out of water Safety Risks for persons and property can arise from this appliance if the appliance is improperly used or not used as intended or if the safety instructions are not heeded. The appliance must never be operated out of water. ‧ After disconnection from the mains, the appliance must be left in the water for 30 minutes in order to cool down. ‧ A hot appliance must never be placed on heat-sensitive surfaces! ‧ The appliance must never be operated without a heater protector. ‧ Repairs must only be carried out by an EHEIM service centre. ‧ The mains cable of this appliance cannot be replaced. If the cable is dam

1. Attach the appliance below water level on the inside of your

aquarium. Take the minimum water level into account. ▶ The heater must be 󰘱ushed well in order to guarantee consistent water heating. Therefore, place the heater in an area with a strong 󰘱ow. ▶ Check the water temperature at regular intervals. ▶ In order to achieve a water temperature of 25°C ±1°C, the ambi

ent temperature must not fall below 18°C. Operation Switching the heater on/o󰓐

illuminates when the heater heats the water (water temperature below 25°C ±1°C).

2. To turn it o󰘯, remove the mains plug from the mains socket.

Before you remove the heater WARNING! Burning and 󰄈re hazards due to hot surfaces. ▶ Allow the appliance to cool down in the water for at least 30 minutes before removing it. If you have accidentally removed the heater during operation: ▶ Do not submerge the heater back into the water. ▶ Do not touch any hot surfaces. ▶ Remove the mains plug and allow the heater to cool down for at least one hour on a heat-resistant base. Thermal circuit breaker The heater is equipped with a thermal circuit breaker as protection against overheating and any associated 󰘰re hazards. In the event of the heater being accidentally operated outside the water or when the water level is too low, it will be switched o󰘯. The heater will switch back on automatically after cooling down. Maintenance DANGER! Electric shock! ▶ Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before carrying out any maintenance work. ‧ Protect the mains socket and mains plug against moisture and wetness. A drip loop must be formed with the mains cable. This prevents any water running along the cable to the mains socket, which would result in a short-circuit. ‧ The electrical data of the appliance must match the data of the power mains. This data is found on the type plate, the packaging and in these instructions. ‧ The appliance has an immersion depth of max.
