- Only use this appliance for the purposes described in the instrucon manual.
- Cauon! Avoid contact with hot surfaces when the appliance is switched on.
- Cauon! If the rice cooker is too full, it can overow during cooking, causing hot water to spill out.
- Do not touch or cover the steam opening when in use. Be careful of the hot steam emied by the steam opening.
- Be careful when opening the lid during or aer cooking. Hot steam can be emied by the device, and as a result, there is a risk of scalding.
- Only connect the appliance to alternate current, to an earthed wall socket, with a mains voltage that corresponds with the informaon provided on the informaon plate of the appliance.
- Never bend the power cord sharply or allow it to run across hot parts.
- Fully unwind the cord to prevent it from overheang.
- Never place the appliance near appliances that give o heat, such as ovens, gas cookers, hotplates, etc. Keep the appliance away from walls or other objects that may catch re, such as curtains, towels (coon or paper, etc.).
- Always make sure the appliance is placed on an even, at surface and is only used indoors.
- Do not leave the appliance unsupervised if the appliance is operaonal.
- If you want to move the appliance, make sure the appliance is switched o.

If this is the case, consult the retailer or our maintenance service. Never replace the plug or cord yourself. Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by skilled persons. Incorrect repairs may expose the user to serious hazards. Never use the appliance with parts that are not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer.
- Do not pull the cord and/or appliance to remove the plug from the wall socket. Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
- Keep the appliance out of reach of children. Children do not see the dangers associated with handling electrical appliances. Therefore, never allow children to operate electrical appliances without supervision. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age.

7. ON/OFF buon (at the rear)
Follow these instrucons when using the rice cooker for the rst me: Carefully remove the rice cooker from the packaging and remove all traces of packaging from the device. Keep the packaging (plasc bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Aer unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport. Place the rice cooker on a heat-resistant base. Clean the lid, inner pan, spoon and measuring cup with hot water and mild washing-up liquid. Dry these components thoroughly. Ensure that all moisture is removed from them. Wipe the outside of the rice cooker with a damp cloth. Place the inner pan in the rice cooker. Check that the voltage stated on the informaon plate matches the voltage used in your region. Place the rice cooker on a at, stable and heat-resistant base. Ensure sucient venlaon space above the rice cooker. Insert the mains cord in the connecon of the rice cooker. Insert the plug in the socket and switch the ON/OFF buon at the rear of the appliance to ON.

8EN - 14 COOKING RICE Do not place the rice cooker underneath an object such as a kitchen cabinet or shelf, as the hot steam may damage it. Li the lid o the rice cooker and take the inner pan out of the rice cooker. Use the measuring cup provided to measure the required quanty of rice. One full measuring cup of uncooked rice is roughly equivalent to two measuring cups of boiled rice. One full measuring cup contains approximately 100 grams of rice. This is enough for one person.
1. Measure the desired amount of rice. (1 measuring cup per person)
2. Rinse the rice unl the rinsing water becomes reasonably clear and briey drain the rice.
Cauon: Do not rinse the rice in the inner pan. The hard rice grains could damage the non-sck layer on the inside of the pan.
3. Place the rinsed rice in the inner pan.
4. Add the required quanty of water using the measuring cup. For one cup of white rice, one measuring cup of water must
be added. The quanty markers in the inner pan are purely indicave and apply only to white rice. The quanty markers indicate how much water should be added to the inner pan depending on how many measuring cups of rice have been added. For soer rice, we recommend soaking the rice for 10-20 minutes before cooking it. 5. Check that the outside of the inner pan is properly dry and clean before placing it in the rice cooker. Ensure that the inner pan makes proper contact with the heang element. There should be no food residues or other hard parcles between the inner pan and the heang element.
6. Place the lid on the pan.
7. Insert the mains cord in the connecon of the rice cooker. Insert the plug in the socket and switch the ON/OFF buon at the rear of the appliance to ON. 8. Press down the start buon at the front under the indicator lights. The COOK indicator light switches on. To prevent steam being lost – which results in a longer cooking me – we advise that you do not open the lid while the rice is cooking unless necessary. 9. Once the rice is ready, the rice cooker will automacally switch to warm mode. The COOK indicator light goes out and the WARM indicator light remains on. Leave the rice for at least 10 minutes before opening the lid. The exact amount of me depends on the amount of rice cooked. The rice cooker keeps the rice warm unl you pull the plug out of the socket. Do not leave the rice on warm mode for longer than 12 hours.
10. Press the start buon upwards and li the lid o the rice cooker. Cauon: this may release hot steam. Use oven gloves
if you wish to take the inner pan out of the rice cooker, as it may be hot.
11. Remove the rice from the inner pan with the provided spoon, to prevent damaging the non-sck layer.
12. Switch o the rice cooker by removing the plug from the socket or by switching o the ON/OFF buon at the rear of
the appliance. Aenon: It is important that the outside of the inner pan is completely clean and dry before it is placed in the rice cooker. The heang element can be damaged if water, food remnants or other dirt come into contact with it. Never use the inner pan for any other purposes than preparing rice in the rice cooker, for instance as a separate pan for cooking. The boom will warp, making the inner pan unusable.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, always remove the plug from the socket and let the rice cooker cool down.
1. Remove the inner pan and wash it with hot water and mild washing-up liquid. Use a so sponge or cloth.
2. Rinse the inner pan and then wipe it dry thoroughly.
3. Do the same with the lid and the accessories.
4. Clean the outside of the rice cooker with a damp cloth.

Below you can nd a number of ps to help you achieve the desired consistency. Problem Soluon The rice is too dry/hard aer cooking. If the rice is too dry or hard/tough when the rice cooker switches to warm mode, then you can soen up the rice by adding more water and extending the cooking me. Depending on how dry the rice is, add between half a measuring cup to a full measuring cup of water and s r. Close the lid and push the on/o switch downwards. When the rice cooker switches to warm mode, open the lid and check the consistency. If necessary, repeat the process of adding water and cooking unl the rice is ready. The rice is too wet/scky aer cooking. If the rice is sll too wet/scky when the rice cooker switches to warm mode, sr the rice well with the spoon provided. This will more evenly distribute the wet rice at the boom and release moisture. Close the lid and leave the rice on warm mode for another 10-30 minutes.
