How to connect the Connect AD12?

Connect your audio source (e.g., turntable) to the RCA inputs (red/white) of the Connect AD12. Connect the digital output (optical or coaxial) to your amplifier. Plug in the power adapter and set the switch to ON.

No sound after connection, what to do?

Make sure the switch is in the ON position. Ensure the optical or coaxial cable is properly inserted. Check your audio source and amplifier settings (select the digital input). Refer to the respective manuals.

How to use the Toslink optical output?

Remove the protective caps from the optical cable before insertion. Do not bend the cable, it is fragile. Connect one end to the optical output of the Connect AD12 and the other to the optical input of your amplifier.

Is the Connect AD12 compatible with a turntable without a phono preamp?

No, the Connect AD12 does not have a built-in phono preamplifier. Your turntable must have a built-in phono preamp or you must use an external one before the converter.

Can I use the Connect AD12 with a digital audio source?

No, the Connect AD12 only converts analog audio (RCA) to digital. It cannot convert digital to analog. For the reverse, use a D/A converter.

What type of coaxial cable should I use?

A standard audio coaxial cable with RCA connectors. Make sure it is of good quality to avoid signal loss. The recommended maximum length is 10 meters.

The LED does not light up, what to do?

Check that the power adapter is properly plugged in and the wall outlet is working. If the LED remains off, the device may be defective. Contact customer service.

Can I connect multiple devices to the Connect AD12?

No, the Connect AD12 has only one stereo RCA input. You can only connect one source at a time. Use an audio selector if necessary.

What audio formats are supported?

The Connect AD12 supports uncompressed 2CH stereo PCM at 48 kHz and 24 bits. Compressed formats like Dolby Digital are not supported.

How to clean the device?

Unplug the power adapter. Clean the casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemical or abrasive products. Do not let liquid enter the device.

Safety instructions

Please read these instructions thoroughly before you use the device and keep them for future reference.

• Connect the adapter to the mains only after you have verified that the line voltage corresponds to the value specified on the type plates.
• Never connect a power adapter if it's damaged. In such cases, please contact your supplier.
• Disconnect the AC/DC power adapter from the mains when this device is not in use for prolonged time.
• Never open the product: the device may contain parts with deadly voltage.
• Repairs or service should only be performed by qualified personnel.
• Record players need special phono pre-amplification to make vinyl records sound right. Many turntables have this built in, some do not. This product does not have a built-in phono preamp.

Installation

- We recommend that you switch off your equipment before connecting cables in order to prevent any of the devices being damaged.

- At all times, avoid bending the optical (Toslink) cable as it is very delicate.

1. Connect the Audio Source to the analog input[1] on the Connect AD12™ using the RCA audio cable.
2. Connect the Audio Amplifier to the digital audio output [2] on the Connect AD12 ^TM using a Coaxial or Optical audio cable.
3. Connect the power adapter [3] and plug into the electrical socket.
4. Set the switch [4] in the ON position and check that the audio connection works.

Usage

If the audio connection does not work (properly), consult the instructions for the Audio Source and/or the Audio Amplifier for the correct settings.
