How to connect the Connect DA21 converter?

Connect the HDMI source (e.g., set-top box) to the HDMI input of the converter. Connect the composite output (yellow RCA) and audio (red/white RCA) to your TV. Power the converter via the power adapter.

The converter does not turn on, what to do?

Check that the power adapter is properly plugged in and the outlet works. Ensure the converter receives at least one HDMI signal input.

What resolution is supported by the Connect DA21?

The converter supports resolutions up to 720p and 1080i. It automatically converts the input format.

Why is the image black and white?

Make sure the composite cable (yellow) is properly connected and the TV is set to composite input. Also check that the source sends a compatible NTSC/PAL signal.

The sound does not work, how to fix?

Check the RCA audio cables (red/white). Ensure the audio source is set to stereo PCM. The converter does not handle Dolby or multichannel audio.

Can I connect a 1080p source?

Yes, but the output will be limited to 1080i or 720p depending on the standard. The converter reduces resolution if necessary.

Is the supplied HDMI cable long?

The male-to-female HDMI cable is about 15 cm. Use a standard HDMI cable if you need more length.

How to clean the converter?

Unplug the device. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. Never use liquid or abrasive products.

Does the converter get hot normally?

It is normal for the device to get slightly warm during operation. Do not cover it and ensure ventilation around it.

INSTALLATION

Note:

• We recommend that you switch off your equipment before connecting cables in order to prevent any of the devices being damaged.
• At all times, avoid bending the optical (Toslink) cable as it is very delicate.

1. Connect the Audio Source to one of the digital audio inputs [1] on the Connect DA21™ using the optical or coaxial audio cable.
2. Connect the Audio Amplifier to the stereo audio outputs [2] on the Connect DA21™ using the (supplied) RCA stereo audio cable.
3. Connect the power adapter [3] and plug into the electrical socket.
4. Use the switch [4] to select which digital audio input (Coaxial or Optical) is connected to the Connect DA21™.
5. Switch your device on and check that the audio connection works.

USAGE

If the audio connection does not work (properly), consult the instructions for the Audio Source and/or the Audio Amplifier for the correct settings.
