Frequently Asked Questions - MMX 150 BEYERDYNAMIC

How to connect the MMX 150 headset to a computer?
Use the provided USB-C to USB-A cable. Connect the USB-C plug to the headset and the USB-A to the computer. The driver installs automatically and the orange indicator lights up.
Can I use the headset with a gaming console?
Yes, connect it using the USB-C to USB-A cable if the console has a USB port. For consoles with a jack socket, use the USB-C to 4-pole jack cable (note: controls and Enhanced mode are not available on jack).
How to mute the microphone?
Briefly press the volume wheel. A red light on the microphone and a red circle around the wheel light up. A high-pitched sound confirms muting. Press again to unmute.
What is Enhanced mode and how to activate it?
Enhanced mode makes the headset semi-open, allowing you to hear your own voice and ambient sounds. Press and hold the wheel for 2 seconds. The indicator turns turquoise and a voice announcement sounds. Press and hold again for 2 seconds to deactivate.
How to clean the MMX 150 headset?
Use a soft cloth slightly dampened (water only). Do not use solvents, abrasive products, or a vacuum cleaner. Avoid liquid entering the headset.
How to replace the ear pads?
Turn the ear pad counterclockwise to remove it. Place the new ear pad on the orange housing and turn clockwise until it is firmly in place.
Is the headset compatible with smartphones?
Yes, use the USB-C to 4-pole jack cable (CTIA standard) to connect to the headphone jack of a smartphone or tablet. Note: control functions and Enhanced mode are not available on this connection.
Why doesn't the indicator light turn on?
The orange indicator lights up only when the headset is connected via USB and recognized by the device. Check that the cable is fully inserted and that the source device is powered on. On jack connection, the indicator does not work.
What to do in case of sound issues (microphone not detected)?
Make sure the MMX 150 is selected as input and output device in your system audio settings. Check that the cable is properly connected. If the problem persists, contact customer service: service@beyerdynamic.de.
Is the headset under warranty?
Opening the headset voids the warranty. For any repairs, contact an authorized technician or Beyerdynamic customer service. Keep the proof of purchase.
