The instructions for use are a part of this product. They contain important information about safety, using the product and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the indicated purpose. If you pass the product on to others, be sure to include all the documentation.

Intended use

The electric cool box is to be used solely for cooling pre-cooled food and drinks. This product is intended for use in dry rooms indoors or inside vehicles. The product is not intended for commercial use.

This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lacking experience and/or knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning

and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.

■ Only connect the device using the 12V connecting cable included in the scope of delivery to a 12V connector in a car, boat or caravan.
■ Only allow qualified personnel to carry out repairs. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger to the user.
If the connecting cable for this product or the product itself is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified person to avoid hazards.

Safety while operating the product

⚠️ CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Before putting the product into operation, ensure the mains lead and plug are dry.

■ Always be sure to operate the electric cool box with the correct voltage. The electric voltage is

stated on the data plate on the electric cool box.

HAZARD! Do not store inflammable liquids, gases and / or other explosive substances such as aerosol containers with flammable propellants inside this product.

CAUTION! RISK OF FIRE!

Never place the product in direct proximity to naked flames or other sources of heat.

⚠ Attention! RISK OF OVER-

HEATING! Be sure never to block the heat exchange opening and ensure heat generated during operation is discharged adequately. Ensure adequate clearance between the product and the wall or objects to allow air to circulate freely.

■ Only set up the product in well ventilated rooms.
■ Ensure good circulation of the air inside the product.
- Be sure to unroll the connecting cables all the way when using the product. Otherwise there is a risk of a cable fire.
■ Protect the product and the mains lead from heat, rain and moisture, and other damage.
- Do not directly fill the interior with liquid or ice. Doing so could result in property damage.

■ Never place hot foods or beverages inside the electric cool box.
■ The electric cool box is not suitable to transport substances containing corrosive solvents.
■ Never immerse the product in water. Doing so could damage the electrical equipment.
■ When travelling by car, do not transport the product in the passenger compartment.
- When operating the product, always ensure the 12 V plug is placed firmly and safely in the 12 V socket, and that the socket is free of dirt. Improper contact between the plug and socket may result in the power supply frequently switching on and off due to vibration from the vehicle. This can result in overheating.
■ The manufacturer is not liable for damages due to improper use or incorrect operation.

- General information on use

Dry the surfaces of the items to be refrigerated to prevent condensation.
Be careful not to switch the vehicle engine on and off frequently so as not to constantly interrupt the power supply to the cool box.
Please also note the car battery may be severely drained when the engine is off.

Securing the cool box lid with the handle

☐ Fold the handle 1 forward (in the direction of the "LOCK" mark) to close the cool box lid 2 tightly (see Fig. C1).
☐ Fold the carrying handle 1 up when transporting the cool box. The cool box lid 2 is closed tightly (see Fig. C2).
☐ Fold the handle to the back (in the direction of the "OPEN" mark) to open the cool box lid 2, (see Fig. C3).

- Tips for best cooling output and energy savings

The cool box works in ambient temperatures between -10 °C and 43 °C with a relative humidity of 90 %. The minimum temperature may not be reached at an external temperature of over 30 °C.

☐ Select a well ventilated location protected from the sun.
☐ Only place pre-cooled items in the electric cool box.
Do not open the electric cool box longer than necessary.
Do not leave the ☐ open longer than necessary.
☐ Be sure not to overfill the electric cool box and air can circulate sufficiently between the items being cooled.

- Before use

Place the electric cool box on a level surface.
☐ Clean the electric cool box with a damp cloth.

- Start-up

Note: When powered by car battery be sure the car engine is running. Operating the electric cool box with the engine off may drain your car battery and you will be unable to start the engine.

☐ Plug the DC connecting cable on the electric cool box into the cigarette lighter socket in your car, boat or caravan.
☐ Close the electric cool box tightly using the electric lid 2, the product will start cooling. After a short while you will be verify the electric cool box is operating correctly by placing your hand up to the aluminium vent inside the lid.

Note: The plug does not have a status indicator. Be sure not to accidentally leave the cool box on as this will drain the car battery.

☐ Remove the plug from the 12 V socket of your car, boat or caravan to switch off the cool box.

● Replacing the 12 V fuse

Also see Figure B.

☐ To replace the fuse 7 remove the cap 3, loosen the screw 4 on the plug and disassemble the plug.
□ Remove the fuse 7.

Note: If the thin metal connection between the two metal tips is broken, the fuse 7 is defective and must be replaced.

☐ Insert the new fuse 7 with care.

☐ Reassemble the plug and screw in the screw 4. The plug is now ready for operation.

- Troubleshooting

In the event the electric cool box malfunctions, unplug and perform the following tests:

  • Is the connection cable correctly connected and does the cigarette lighter of your vehicle function properly?
  • Did you set up the electric cool box so air can circulate freely to ensure the cooling unit is ventilated?
  • Is the fuse 7 inside the plug on the 12 V connecting cable defective?
  • A fuse on the socket in your car, caravan or boat may be defective. Most vehicles require the ignition to be on to supply electricity.
  • Is the electric cool box level?

- Did you overfill the cool box with food / beverages? Arrange the food / beverages so air can easily circulate inside the electric cool box.

- Cleaning and Care

Do not use abrasive, solvent-based or aggressive cleaners. Doing so may result in property damage.
■ Always unplug the connecting cable from the cigarette lighter before cleaning. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

- Never clean the electric cool box under running water. Doing so could damage the electrical equipment.

☐ Clean the electric cool box with a damp cloth and a mild soap solution.

☐ Rinse the parts cleaned with dishwater with clear water.

☐ The box should be cleaned and dried before storing for extended periods. Leave the lid 2 slightly open when storing the electric cool box to prevent any bothersome odour.

● Warranty and Service

Note: this product includes a 36 month warranty from the date of purchase. The product has been produced to the highest standards and thoroughly checked before dispatch. However, if defects in manufacturing or material arise during the warranty period, please contact your retailer immediately. The warranty does not cover damages due to improper handling, failure to comply with the operating instructions, or manipulation by unauthorised persons. Most malfunctions are caused by incorrect operation. Therefore please first refer to the operating instructions if a malfunction occurs.

Contact our service department before returning the product. The product can only be returned to us after contacting us.

Postage due shipments will not be accepted. Warranty services do not extend or restart the warranty period of 36 months.
