The information is subject to change without prior notice. EXPLOSION! Never charge non-rechargeable batteries! Protect the rechargeable battery from heat, for example from continuous exposure to sunlight, re, water and moisture. There is a risk of explosion. e) Do not use a damaged or modied rechargeable battery with the tool. Damaged or modied batteries exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in re, explosion or risk of injury. f) Do not expose a rechargeable battery or tool to re or excessive temperature. Exposure to re or temperatures above 130 °C may cause an explosion. g) Follow all charging instruction and do not charge the rechargeable48 GB/IE battery or tool outside the temperature range specied in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specied range may damage the battery and increase the risk of the re. h) The safety instructions of the compatible chargers must be observed. Service of battery packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.49 GB/IE First use Charging the rechargeable battery INFO: The rechargeable battery [2] may be charged at any time without reducing the service life. Interrupting the charging process does not damage the rechargeable battery. Charge the rechargeable battery before use when it is at medium or low charging level. The charging control LEDs (red [7] and green [8] ) indicate the status of the charger [6] (not included) and the rechargeable battery (see Fig. A).
1. Insert the rechargeable battery
[2] into the charger [6] (not included).
3. When the rechargeable battery is fully
charged, remove the rechargeable battery from the charger [6] (not50 GB/IE included). Disconnect the mains plug from the socket-outlet. Operation LED status Red LED [7] lights up – The rechargeable battery [2] is charging. Green LED [8] lights up – The rechargeable battery is fully charged. Green and red LED ash – The rechargeable battery is defective. Red LED ashes – The rechargeable battery is too cold or too warm. Green LED lights up (without rechargeable battery) – The charger [6] is ready for use. Checking the rechargeable battery charge level o Press the button [3] to check the status of the rechargeable battery [2].51 GB/IE The status/remaining charge shows on the charging level LEDs [4] as follows (see Fig. A): - Red + orange + green = maximum charge - Red + orange = medium charge - Red = low charge Removing/inserting the rechargeable battery
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Only insert the rechargeable battery once the battery operated tool is ready for use. o To insert the rechargeable battery [2], place it on the guide track and push it into the charger [6]. The rechargeable battery audibly snaps into place. o To remove the rechargeable battery from the charger, press the rechargeable battery release button [1] and pull out the rechargeable battery.52 GB/IE The PARKSIDE app can be used with this product when a PARKSIDE Smart Battery is installed. You will need (for use with the PARKSIDE App) Mobile device: iOS 17.0 or higher Android 8.0 or higher Connecting the battery to the PARKSIDE app Only Smart batteries can be connected to the PARKSIDE app
4. Select the battery from the list53 GB/IE
If the Smart battery had already been connected before, such battery name will be shown on the list. If there is no available battery on the list, it can be added by following steps.
1. Ensure Smart battery is paired with
mobile device via Bluetooth.
2. Select + to Add device.
3. Follow the instructions in the app.
The app scans the surroundings for available devices.
4. Select the battery want to be added.
5. Conrm the successful connection
with “Done” or selecting “Add more devices” directly.
6. If needed, the added battery can be
renamed by following the instruction in the app. The battery is now listed under of the connected devices and can be selected.54 GB/IE Activating / Deactivating Bluetooth To activate Bluetooth Press and hold the button [3] of rechargeable battery [2] for 5seconds. Only the central yellow color LED of charging level LEDs [4] is glowed up. This indicates Bluetooth is activated. Release the button [3]. To deactivate Bluetooth Press and hold the button [3] of rechargeable battery [2] for 10 seconds. Only central yellow color LED of charging level LEDs [4] glows up rst then goes o. This indicates Bluetooth is deactivated. Release the button [3].55 GB/IE The battery icon appears with a white background under in PARKSIDE app. It indicates that is in oine condition.
