How to manually set the time on the Nedis RDDB1000BK radio?

Press Menu/Info, select System, then Time and Set Time/Date. Use the Tuning buttons to adjust the hour, minutes, day, month, and year, then confirm with Volume/Select.

How to switch from FM to DAB+ mode?

Press and hold the Power/Source button to switch between modes. In FM mode, hold it to switch to DAB+, and vice versa.

How to save a station as a preset?

Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the Preset button. Choose a preset number with Tuning and confirm with Volume/Select.

How to set an alarm on the clock radio?

Press Alarm/Scan to select alarm 1 or 2. Turn the dial to set the hour, minutes, duration, source (DAB+/FM/buzzer), days, and activation/deactivation. Confirm each step by pressing the dial.

Why isn't the radio finding DAB+ stations?

Make sure the antenna is fully extended. Perform a Full scan via the Menu/Info menu in DAB+ mode. Check that you are in a DAB+ coverage area.

How to activate or deactivate the sleep function?

Press Menu/Info, select System then Sleep. Choose the desired duration (15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes) or disable sleep with Sleep off.

How to adjust the display brightness?

In the System menu, select Backlight to set the backlight timeout (10 to 180 seconds) or keep it always on.

Can I use batteries in the radio?

Yes, open the battery compartment on the back and insert 4 AAA batteries (not included). Batteries allow use without a power cable.

How to reset the radio to factory settings?

In the System menu, select Factory reset and confirm. All custom settings (presets, alarms, time) will be erased.

What to do if the radio won't turn on?

Check the micro-USB cable connection to a power source (5V/1A). If using batteries, ensure they are correctly inserted and not discharged. Try a different cable or adapter.

Intended use

The product is exclusively intended to be used as a radio with alarm clock. Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

Setup

1. Connect the micro USB cable to A ⑪ and an USB adapter.
2. Extend the antenna A ⑫.

Alternatively, you can use built-in battery.

1. Open the battery compartment lid A ⑭ .
2. Insert 4 AAA batteries in the battery compartment A ⑬.
3. Close the battery compartment A ⑭.

Setting date and time

If a DAB+ signal is found, date and time will be set automatically. You can set the time manually if a DAB+ signal is not present.

1. Press A ⑧ to switch on the product.
2. Press Menu / Info A ⑤.
3. Press A ③ or A ④ to select "System".
4. Press A ⑨ to confirm.
5. Select "Time" and confirm.
6. Select "Set Time/Date" and confirm to set time and date.
7. Select "Set hour" and confirm to set the hour.
8. Select "Set minute" and confirm to set the minutes.
9. Select "Set month" and confirm to set the month.
10. Select "Set date" and confirm to set the date.
11. Select "Set year" and confirm to set the year.

Other date and time options:

Set 12/24 hour Switch	between 12 hour / 24 hour time display
Set date format Switch	between DD-MM-YYYY / MM-DD-YYYY

DAB+ mode

1. When the radio is in FM mode, press and hold A ⑧ to switch to DAB+. The radio automatically scans for available DAB+ stations.
2. Press A ③ or A ④ to switch stations.

FM mode

1. When the radio is in DAB+ mode, press and hold Source A ⑧ to switch to FM.
2. Press A ③ or A ④ to switch stations. Press and hold to scan for stations.

Saving and listening to preset stations

1. Press and hold A ⑥ to store a preset.

The display shows "Preset store#":".

1. Press A ③ or A ④ to choose a preset number.
2. Press A ⑨ to confirm.
3. To listen to a preset station, press A ⑥.
4. Press A ③ or A ④ to browse preset stations.
5. Press Enter A ⑨ to confirm.

Using the alarm

Two different alarms can be set.

1. Press A ⑦ to select alarm 1.
2. Press A ⑦ again to select alarm 2.
3. Press A ⑨ to edit the selected alarm.
4. Turn A ⑨ to set the hours of the wake up time. Press A ⑨ to confirm.
5. Turn A ⑨ to set the minutes. Press A ⑨ to confirm.
6. Turn A ⑨ to set the duration of the alarm in minutes. Press A ⑨ to confirm.
7. Turn A ⑨ to choose the source of the alarm: DAB+ / FM or buzzer. Press A ⑨ to confirm.
8. Turn A ⑨ to choose when to sound the alarm. Choose between Daily / Weekends / Weekdays / Once. Press A ⑨ to confirm.
9. Turn A ⑨ to switch the alarm on or off. Press A ⑨ to confirm.

Advanced DAB+ options

1. Press A ⑤ to select what information to be shown on the display. For example: signal strength, frequency, time and date.
2. Turn Tune A ⑨ to choose between:

Full scan Perform a scan for DAB+ stations
Manual tune Enable manual tuning for DAB+ stations
DRC (Dynamic Range Compression)	Reduce the difference in volume between radio stations.
Prune Remove all ‘invalid’ stations, marked with ‘?’
System Change system settings

1. Press A ⑤ to select the information to be shown on the display.
2. Turn Tune A ⑨ to choose between:

Scan setting Strong stations only / All stations

Audio setting Stereo allowed / Force mono
