2.1. Safety in the workplace

3. Use guidelines
The device is designed for automatic irrigation of plants using solar energy.

3.2. Assembling the device

- Carefully unpack all components.
- When hanging the solar panel, point it towards the sun.
- Connect the pump filter as required, place it in the water making sure it is fully submerged.
Cut the 1 / 8'' hose yourself as required, then connect the hose and T-adapter. - Connect the T-adapter, 1/8" hose and anti-siphon valve and note the direction of the anti-siphon valve.
The anti-siphon valve must be positioned higher than the dippers.

- Place the plant in the holder and use the stopper on the end of the hose.
- The system can be operated with up to 25 plants (HT-COSTIGAN-2500) / 50 plants (HT-COSTIGAN-5000), as required.
The irrigation system is now ready for use.
3.3. Device use
After installation, leave the irrigation system in direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours to fully charge the battery.

Low battery: if the battery is discharged, allow the solar panel to charge the pump for at least 6-8 hours in direct sunlight and do not turn on the irrigation often.
Low water level: if there is not enough water in the water container, irrigation will be turned off, refill the water in the container.
Cycle function: this irrigation system has been designed with a cycle function for after-dark operation. Simply set the time for the pump to run the first time and the pump will run every cycle.
3.4. Cleaning and maintenance
a) Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
b) Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture and direct exposure to sunlight.
c) Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge it in water.
d) The device must be regularly inspected to check its technical efficiency and spot any damage.
e) Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
f) Do not use sharp and/or metal objects for cleaning (e.g. a wire brush or a metal spatula) because they may damage the surface material of the appliance.
