How to fill the water tank of the Solac Smart Evolution CVG9507 iron?

Open the filling spout cover, fill with water up to the MAX level (Fig. 1), then close the cover firmly. Preferably use distilled water if your water is hard.

How to use the steam function?

Make sure the tank is filled with water. Plug in the appliance and wait for the green light to turn on. Press the steam activation button (B) periodically to produce steam (Fig. 2). You can also dry iron by leaving the button in the off position.

What to do if the iron does not heat up?

Check that the iron is properly plugged into a 16 A grounded socket. Wait a few moments for the green light to turn on. If the problem persists, contact an approved technical support service. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

How to clean the iron?

Unplug the iron and let it cool down completely. Clean the soleplate and body with a damp cloth soaked with a few drops of mild detergent. Then dry with a clean cloth. Never use solvents, abrasive or acidic products (like bleach), and do not immerse the appliance in water.

How to descale the iron?

To prevent calcium buildup, it is recommended to use low mineral water (distilled water). If necessary, use a specific descaling product for irons, commercially available. Home solutions like vinegar are not recommended.

What does the blinking red and green light mean?

An alternating red and green flashing accompanied by 3 beeps indicates that the iron has entered automatic shut-off (stand-by) mode. This occurs after 8 minutes of inactivity in vertical position or 30 seconds in horizontal position. To reactivate, simply move the appliance (Fig. 4).

How to activate the automatic shut-off?

The automatic shut-off is an integrated function that activates automatically. No operation is required: the iron goes into standby after 8 minutes in vertical position or 30 seconds in horizontal position without use.

Can I use scented water in the iron?

No, using scented water automatically voids the product warranty. Use only clear water, preferably distilled or low in calcium.

How to steam vertically?

Hang the garment on a hanger or curtains. Hold the iron vertically, pass it from top to bottom while pressing the steam button. For cotton and linen, put the soleplate in contact with the fabric; for delicate fabrics, keep it a few centimeters away.

What to do if water leaks through the soleplate?

Make sure the tank is not filled above the MAX level. Check that the cover is properly closed. Wait until the iron is at temperature (green light on) before activating steam. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

BEFORE USE:

• Make sure that all of the products' packaging has been removed.
• Some parts of the appliance have been lightly greased. Consequently, the first time the appliance is used a light smoke may be detected. After a short time, this smoke will disappear.

- Prepare the appliance according to the function you wish to use:

FILLING WITH WATER:

• It is essential to have filled the tank with water to be able to work with steam.
• Open the cover.
• Fill the tank, taking care to observe the MAX level (Fig.1).
• Close water inlet lid.
• Use of scented water automatically cancels the warranty

CVG9507 USE:

• Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Once plugged in, the product will start to heat up, during this heating period, do not press the steam button, wait for the green light to come on,

SMART:

- The product adapts to all types of fabric:

• Temperature for synthetic fibres (Polyester, Nylon...). Setting •
• Temperature for silk, wool. Setting ●●

• Temperature for cotton. Y linen Setting ●●● and Max

• Wait until indicator (C) lights green, this means that the appliance has reached temperature, after its first warm-up.

• During use of the appliance, indicator (C) will come on and off automatically to indicate when it is using power and heating.

DRY IRONING:

- The appliance has a steam control trigger (B) which, when set to off, allows dry ironing (without steam) or with steam depending on whether the trigger is pressed (Fig. 2).

STEAM IRONING:

- It is possible to iron with steam whenever the tank is filled with water and the correct temperature is selected.

VERTICAL IRONING:

• It is possible to iron hanging curtains, items of clothing on their own hanger, etc. To do so, follow these instructions:
• Iron from top to bottom,.
• Important: for cotton and linen, it is recommended to put the base of the iron in contact with the material. For other more deli-

cate fabrics, it is recommended to keep the base of the iron a few centimetres away.

AUTO-OFF FUNCTION (STAND-BY): CVG9507;

• For the purpose of saving energy, the appliance switches to auto-off mode (stand-by) after 8 minutes in the upright position or 30 seconds if left flat, assuming the user has not performed any action during this period. 3 beeps will sound and the indicator will flash RED GREEN alternately
• To resume ironing just touch the trigger or move the iron.

ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE:

• Unplug the appliance from the mains.
• Drain the water out of the appliance.
• Clean the appliance.

CLEANING

• Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
• Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
• Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.

• For the appliance to work correctly it should be kept free of limescale or magnesium incrustations caused by the use of hard water.
• To avoid this kind of problem it is advisable to use distilled water.
• To prevent this kind of problem, we recommend the use of water with low lime or magnesium mineralisation.
• To do so, we recommend the use of the specific product for this kind of appliance, which can be found in specialised shops and authorised technical services.
• A specific anti-lime scale product should be used on this kind of product.
• Home-made solutions, such as the use of vinegar, are not recommended for descaling this appliance.
