INTRODUCTION Dear customer, thank you for choosing our product. We feel certain you will appreciate its quality and reliability as it was designed and manufactured with customer satisfaction in mind.These instructions for use comply with the European Standard EN 82079. WARNING! Instructions and warnings for a safe use Before using this appliance, carefully read the instructions for use and in particular the safety notes and warnings, which must be complied with. Keep this manual together with its illustrative guide for future consultation. Should you transfer the appliance to another user, make sure to hand over this documentation as well. NOTE: should any part of this manual be difficult to understand or any doubt arise, contact the company at the address indicated on the last page before using the product. - After removing the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and the presence of any damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre. CAUTION! Remove any communication material such as labels, tags etc. from the appliance before use. WARNING! Risk of suffocation. Children shall not play with the packaging. Keep the plastic bag out of reach of children.17
- This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed, namely as a manicure and pedicure set appliance for home use. Any other use is considered not compliant with the intended use and therefore dangerous.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- If the appliance is faulty or malfunctions, switch it off and do not tamper with it. Contact an authorised technical service centre for any repairs.
- This appliance shall not come into contact with water, other liquids, spray, steam. For any cleaning and maintenance operation referto the instructions in the relevant chapter.18
WARNING! DO NOT use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
DO NOT use this appliance on animals.
- This appliance is for personal use only: DO NOT share the use of the appliance.
- For the features of the appliance, refer to the external packaging.
- Use the appliance only with the supplied accessories that are an essential part of the appliance.
- Replace the batteries with batteries of the same kind only.
- Make sure to insert batteries respecting the polarity indicated on the appliance.
- Remove batteries from the appliance if you expect not to use it for a long time. Keep batteries in a cool and dry place at ambient temperature.
DO NOT recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
DO NOT charge the rechargeable batteries with an equipment that is not specifically indicated for19
this purpose or in a way that differs from the one described in the instructions for use.
DO NOT use batteries supplied with this appliance in other appliances. DANGER! Risk of corrosive substance leakage and explosion. Batteries shall NOT be disassembled, exposed to excessive heat such as that caused by sunlight, fire or similar sources. They shall NOT be short circuited, mechanically damaged, thrown into the fire, put into water, stored with metallic objects, dropped on hard surfaces. In case of battery leakage, avoid any contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
DO NOT use the appliance and the batteries if batteries show any sign of deterioration such as: deformation, scratches, anomalous smell or discoloration of the surface. In such a case contact an authorized service centre.
DO NOT place any object in the battery compartment.
DO NOT use old and new batteries together.20
DANGER! Risk of serious lesions. Always keep the batteries out of reach of children. If swallowed, the batteries can cause lethal lesions. Therefore, always keep the batteries out of reach of children. In the event that a battery is swallowed, contact a doctor or the local poison centre immediately. USE WARNING! DO NOT use this appliance if there are visible signs of damage. ATTENTION! Switch the appliance o before changing any accessories.
OTHER PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE US
- The appliance can only be used on calluses and hard skin on the hands, feet and heels.
DO NOT use the appliance on other parts of the body and on healthy skin!
- Using the appliance on skin with no hard skin can cause sores and thinning of the skin layer.
- Contact your doctor before using the appliance in case of diabetes or circulatory disorders.
- Do not use the appliance if the skin has abrasions or eczema, spots, wounds or warts.
- Do not use the appliance for more than 2-3 seconds, continuing on the same area.
- Interrupt use if irritation or pain is felt or if the skin reddens.
- Use only on perfectly clean and dry skin.
- Do not use the roller if there are worn or abrasive corners on the surfaces.22
- Do not apply excessive pressure on the nail during treatment with the roller for nails (1C).
- Use each part of the roller for nails (1C) for no longer than 2 seconds for each nail and every fortnight. More frequent use may damage and weaken the nail.
- Do not use water or any other liquids with the roller.
- Discontinue treatment with the roller for nails (1C) if pain is felt or nail irritation is noted.
- Do not use the roller for nails (1C) on children’s nails because they are not yet fully formed and the appliance may cause permanent damage.
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
- Open the battery compartment (6) by removing the cover from the body of the appliance.
- Insert two alkaline AA batteries (10) according to the +/- polarity.
- Insert the cover of the battery compartment (6) on the body of the appliance.
- Thoroughly wash the area to be treated and dry carefully.
- Remove the protective cap (8) from the roller, if present.
- Choose the most suitable roller for the area to be treated: ne smoothing roller (violet) (1B) for delicate areas and the coarse smoothing roller (pink) (1A) for dicult areas.
- Mount the smoothing roller (1A, 1B) on the body of the appliance (Fig. A) and make sure it is engaged properly.
- Activate the appliance: press the safety button (3) and simultaneously slide the On/O switch (2) upwards to the On position.
- The LED (5) lights up autonomously when the appliance is switched on.
- Gently slide the roller (forward and backward, right and left) without applying excessive pressure on the areas with imperfections (calluses, hard skin) for 2-3 seconds.
- Switch the appliance o and verify the softness following the treatment. If it is not sucient, activate the appliance once again and pass over the area according to the instructions in the previous point.
- Verify once again. If necessary, continue to treat the area until the desired softness is achieved. ATTENTION! DO NOT apply excessive pressure during operation so as not to block the motor.
Switch the appliance o: press the safety button (3) and simultaneously slide the On/O switch (2) downwards to the O position.24
- After treatment, carefully wash the treated area, dry and if necessary, apply cream, gel or lotion without alcohol or irritants.
ATTENTION! Only use the roller on clean and dry nails. The roller for nails is made up of two parts with separate functions: the lilac-coloured part is for smoothing the nail surface, the white part is for polishing it.
- Cut and le the nails as usual, wash and dry carefully.
- Assemble the roller for nails (1C) on the body of the appliance and turn the appliance on as described in the paragraph above.
- Without exerting excessive pressure, slide the smoothing half of the roller (lilac) on the surface of the nail for no longer than 2 seconds per nail.
- Without applying excessive pressure, and for no longer than 2 seconds per nail, slowly slide the polishing half of the roller (white) on the surface of the nail.
- Rinse the nails under water to remove the residues and dry them thoroughly.
REPLACING THE HEAD WITH ROLLER
- The roller is made of delicate materials: handle it with care! ATTENTION! Using a broken or ruined roller can harm the skin. Replace the roller (1A, 1B , 1C ) when the result is not satisfactory. The frequency at which it is replaced varies according to the frequency of use and the extent of the treated areas.25
- After having switched the appliance o, press the head release button (4) and simultaneously remove the head with roller (1) from the body of the appliance (Fig. B).
- Insert the new head with roller (1) on the body of the appliance (Fig. A).
- Make sure that the head with roller (1) is inserted correctly.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION! Switch the appliance off before replacing the accessories. Performance and durability are enhanced by cleaning the roller regularly. It is recommended to clean it after every use. ATTENTION! Do not place the appliance in water. Do not use abrasive substances.
After having switched the appliance o, press the head release button (4) and simultaneously remove the head (1) from the body of the appliance (Fig. B).
- Grasp the head on the sides while holding the roller downwards and then press the roller outwards with your thumb to remove it from its housing (Fig. C).
- Carefully clean the roller slot and the smoothing roller (1A, 1B) with the supplied brush (9).
- Clean the body of the appliance with a clean, dry cloth.
- Insert the smoothing roller once again into its slot and protect it with the roller cover (8).
DISPOSAL The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of packaging in accordance with the environmental protection standards. Pursuant to Art. 26 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 49 of 14 March 2014 “Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)”, the crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its useful life. The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment. Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the appliance can be handed over to the retailer when a new, equivalent appliance is purchased. Retailers of electronic products having a sales area of at least 400 m
can also be handed electronic products that are to be disposed of measuring less than 25 cm, free of charge and with no obligation to buy. Appropriate separate collection for the subsequent procedure for the decommissioned appliance for recycling, which includes treatment and environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent adverse eects on the environment and health and promotes reusing and/or recycling materials that the appliance consists of.
DISPOSING OF THE BATTERY
This product contains AA batteries.
- Remove the batteries from the appliance before disposing of it.
- Dispose off the batteries at a specific collection centre.
DO NOT dispose of the batteries in domestic waste.27
The appliance is guaranteed for a period of two years from the date of delivery. Evidence shall be taken as the date indicated on the receipt/ invoice (provided it is legible), unless the buyer can prove that the delivery occurred later. In the event of a defect in the product which existed prior to the date of delivery, appliance repair or replacement is guaranteed free of charge, unless one of the two solutions is disproportionate to the other. The buyer has the obligation to notify an authorised Service Centre of the non-conformity within two months from discovering the defect. The warranty does not cover any part that may be defective due to: a. transport damage or accidental drops, b. incorrect installation or an inadequate electrical system, c. repairs or alterations made by unauthorised personnel, d. poor or incorrect maintenance and cleaning, e. product and/or product parts subject to wear and/or consumables, f. failure to comply with the operating instructions and/or negligent or careless use. The list above is purely indicative and not exhaustive and in any case, this warranty shall not cover all circumstances that cannot be attributed to manufacturing defects of the appliance. In addition, the warranty does not cover any case of improper use of the appliance and professional use. All liability is disclaimed for any damage that may directly or indirectly be caused to persons, property and pets as a result of failure to comply with all the instructions provided in the “Instructions and Warnings Booklet” regarding appliance installation, use and maintenance. This is without prejudice to any contractual warranty claims against the seller.28
Methods of support Appliance repairs must be carried out by an authorised Service Centre. If the faulty appliance is under warranty, it must be sent to the Service Centre together with a fiscal document that can confirm the date of sale or delivery.29
