USER MANUAL VCC 4750 A GRUNDIG
Please read this manual complete- ly before using your appliance! Follow all the safety instructions to avoid damage caused by im- proper use! Please retain this user manual for further reference. This manual shall also be supplied with the appliance when the appliance is handed over to a third person.
This appliance is intended for household use only. Warranty shall be void when the appli- ance is used for industrial or commercial purposes.
Please observe these instruc- tions to prevent damage and risks due to improper use.
Do not clean wet surfaces and vacuum wet objects with this ap- pliances.
Do not use this appliance in wet areas.
Do not use this appliance with wet hands.
This appliance is intended for cleaning dirt and dust particles. Do not attempt to vacuum large objects that can damage the ap- pliance by blocking it.
Do not use the appliance to vac- uum cigarette butts, fireplace ashes or matchsticks. These ob- jects may cause fire.
This appliance is not intended for cleaning persons or animals.
Do not insert anything through the suction clearance of the ap- pliance. Always keep the suction clearance open.
Do not hold the appliance up- right while vacuuming.
Do not roll the appliance over its power cord.
Do not close a door over the power cord.
Do not pull the power cord round sharp edges and do not squash it.
If you move the appliance to an- other room, always disconnect the power cord and carry the appliance by the handle.
Never carry the appliance by pulling its power cord.
Never operate the appliance without the dust container or fil- ter.
Replace the dust bag when the indicator illuminates in red.

Whenever possible, insert the power cord plug directly into the socket. Avoid using exten- sion cables or multipoint con- nectors.
Pull out the power plug after use. Do not disconnect the plug by pulling on the cable.
Never use the appliance if there is visible damage on the appli- ance or on the power cord. This also applies if the appliance has accidentally become wet. Please contact a service centre in this case.
Our GRUNDIG Household Ap- pliances meet all the applicable safety standards; thus if the ap- pliance or the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the dealer, a service centre or a similarly qualified and au- thorised service person to avoid any danger arising. Faulty or un- qualified repair work may cause danger and risk to the user.
Always keep the appliance away from children.

Intended use The appliance has been designed for household use and is not suitable for industrial use. Attaching/removing the hose 1 To attach the hose
in the arrow direction in order to match it with the suction nozzle and rotate it clockwise. 2 To remove the hose
counter-clockwise and pull it. Attaching/removing the telescopic tube 1 Attach the telescopic tube
to remove it. 3 Push the telescopic adjustment latch
in the arrow direction and pull the telescopic tube
to adjust its length. Attaching/removing the parquet/carpet brush You can install/remove the narrow end of the telescopic tube
from/to the parquet/carpet brush
Adjusting the parquet/carpet brush Perform the following actions on the adjustment latch
located on the parquet/carpet brush
Use “ ” position for rugs and carpets. Operation 1 Plug in the appliance after pulling the power plug located at the back of the appliance. 2 Press the on/off button
to switch on your appliance. Adjusting the suction power 1 You can adjust the suction power using the suction power adjustment button
found on the appliance. Rotating in the clockwise direction will increase the suction power and in counterclockwise direction will decrease the suction power. 2 You can lower the suction power of the parquet carpet brush by pulling backward the vacuum adjustment control
located on the handle
without the need to use the suction power adjustment knob

Switching off and parking the appliance 1 Switch off the appliance with the on/off button
and unplug it. 2 Wind the power cable by pressing the power cable winding button
Vertical parking feature Insert the parking hook of the parquet/carpet brush into the parking groove located at the bottom section of the appliance. Horizontal parking feature Insert the parking hook of the parquet/carpet brush into the parking groove

Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Warning
Never use gasoline, solvent, abrasive cleaning agents, metal objects or hard brushes to clean the appliance. Replacing the dust bag 1 Open the top lid by pressing the dust container opening latch
2 Remove the full dust bag from its guide, sliding it in upwards direction. 3 Dispose the full dust bag. 4 Insert the new dust bag holding it in the arrow direction indicated on it. Ensure that it is fully seated. 5 Close the appliance’s top lid. Warning
Do not force the top lid to close it, otherwise the plastic sections can be damaged.
Dust bags purchased from locations other than the authorized dealers and services are not original. Unoriginal dust bags have a lesser quality and they become torn in a shorter period and render your appliance nonopera- tional. Faults caused due to using unauthentic dust bags are not covered within the warranty.
Do not wash the dust bag. Cleaning the filters Motor Protection Filter Foam filter EPA filter After each 5 dust bag replacement (may vary depending on the frequency and area of usage), clean the filters. Warning
Do not use appliances producing hot air such as hair dryer or heater to dry the filters.
Do not install the filters without completely drying them; otherwise, smell of moisture may occur during use, water can leak from the back of the appliance or the filters may get dam- aged.
Attach the filters into their places after they have dried. Motor protection filter 1 Open the top lid by pressing the dust container opening latch
2 Press down on the latch of the filter cassette to remove the cassette. 3 Remove the motor protection filter from the cassette inside. 4 After washing the motor protection filter under running water, wring it out slightly and let it dry (for 24 hours minimum). EPA filter 1 Raise the filter cap in the arrow direction to open it.2 Remove the EPA filter by pulling it from its handle.3 Shake off the EPA filter to eliminate the dusts on it. After that, you can wash it by holding its clean side under running cool water.4 If you wash the EPA filter, dry it at room temperature (for 24 hours minimum). Do not use it before ensuring that it is completely dry. Foam filter 1 Raise the filter cap in the arrow direction to open it.2 After removing the EPA filter, pull out and wash the foam filter located behind it.3 After washing the motor protection filter under running water, wring it out slightly and let it dry (for 24 hours minimum). Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, store it carefully. Unplug the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of chil-dren. Compliance with the WEEE Directive and Disposing of the Waste Product This product complies with EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU). This product bears a classification symbol for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).This symbol indicates that this product shall not be disposed with other household wastes at the end of its service life. Used device must be returned to offical collection point for recycling of electrical and electronic devices. To find these collection systems please contact to your local authorities or retailer where the product was puchased. Each household performs important role in recovering and recycling of old appliance. Appropriate disposal of used appliance helps prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.
