USER MANUAL SF8715 UFESA

Painkillers and tranquilizers reduce sensitivity to heat. For this reason it is not advisable to use steam treatments when taking this type of medication. Do not use the appliance if you suffer from heart problems. Do not use the appliance if you have skin problems: Severe skin rash, eczema or psoriasis. In the case of pregnancy or any major health problem, it is advisable to consult your doctor before beginning to use steam treatment. It is recommended that you stop the treatment if you develop any rash or skin problem.

DURATION OF TREATMENT

The duration of the treatment will depend on the user’s skin type, so it is advisable not to exceed the following times: For people with sensitive skin: Each session should not last any longer than 10 minutes. For people with greasy skin: Recommended session of between 10 to 15 minutes. For people with dry skin: A session time of between 8 to 10 minutes. Sessions must never be any longer than 20 minutes. It is advisable to have no more than 2 or 3 sessions per week.

  • This appliance has been designed exclusively for domestic use.

  • Before plugging the appliance into the mains, check that the data stated on the characteristics plate match those of the electric supply.
  • Do not connect the appliance to a direct current (dc) supply.
  • The use of plug adapters or extension cables is not recommended. Should the use of plug adapters and/or extension cables be unavoidable then only use those that comply to current safety standards and ensure that you do not exceed the maximum current rating shown on single outlet adapters and extension cables, or the maximum power rating shown on multiple outlet adapters.
  • Never leave the mains cable hanging freely.
  • Do not switch the appliance on if the mains cable or plug are damaged or if you suspect that the appliance is not working correctly.

  • The stains that appear inside the evaporation pan over time are due to the lime in the water. Clean the pan with diluted vinegar. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Before beginning, first clean your face thoroughly as usual. When your face is completely clean and dry, it is advisable to apply a little moisturizing cream to the skin. Preparation for use Do not plug the appliance in until it is ready for use. Make sure that the unit is completely dry before use. Place the appliance on a hard, flat, stable surface directly in front of you. Make sure that the mains cable does not hang freely and that it is out of children's reach. Take the diffuser cover and the mask off the base of the appliance. Fill the filling jug with tap water only. Fill up to the 20 ml mark. (Figure 1) Never fill beyond the maximum level mark shown on the inside of the evaporation pan. NOTE: If any liquid is spilled accidentally, unplug the unit from the mains electric supply. Place the diffuser cover and the mask back on to the appliance. Switching on Switch the appliance on using button 9, select the desired temperature: Position 1: Low heat setting (Gentle steam) Position 2: High heat setting (Intense steam) The pilot lamp “a” will light up. (Figure 2) The appliance will start to produce steam after a few seconds. To switch the appliance off, set the On/Off switch to the “0” position and unplug it from the mains supply. Use as a Facial Cleanser: Place the diffuser cover (4) and the skin- care treatment mask (2) on to the appliance. (Figure 3) The skin-care treatment mask is ergonomically shaped to fit the contours of the face. Close your eyes and rest your face on the edges of the mask. Relax for 5 minutes, letting your moisturising cream penetrate deeply. Afterwards, rinse and wash your face with fresh water or your usual cleansing astringent. Using the appliance for Inhalation: Place the diffuser cover (4) and the therapeutic and aromatherapy mask (3) on to the appliance. (Figure 4) The therapeutic and aromatherapy mask is ergonomically shaped to fit the contours of your nose and mouth. Add water soluble ethereal oils, the facial sauna is extremely suitable for inhalation purposes. For Aromatherapy treatment, first add water and then between 1 to 4 drops of essentialoil. NOTE: Always add the essential oil after the water. IMPORTANT: Never add anything in the form of ointments or creams. When using soluble ethereal oils always read the manufacturer’s instructions, as certain oils may spit when heated. Never exceed the dose recommended by the supplier of the oil. After use, the pan will have to be cleaned of any remains. Just wipe the evaporation pan clean with a damp cloth. After consulting your doctor, you can use your appliance several times a day for therapeutic applications, especially for chest colds and chills. Timer function: Open the battery compartment located on the base of the appliance. (Figure 5) Fit the battery in to its compartment, observing the stated polarity (i.e. matching the “+” terminal on the battery with the “+” mark inside the compartment, and the “- “ terminal with the “-“ mark) . The timer does not switch the appliance off, it acts as a signal device to indicate and limit the time that you spend using the appliance. The timer allows you to select the duration of your facial sauna treatment. Chronometer function: Pressing button 12 will activate the chronometer function. The display will show the time that has elapsed. Pressing button 12 again will switch the chronometer off. Pressing it again will restart it. To set it back to “0” press the RESET button

Countdown function: Each time you press button 10 the displayed time will increase by 1 minute. This time setting can go from 1 to 59 minutes. To set it back to “0” press the RESET button
