How to set up the HyperX Cloud Flight headset on PC?

Plug the wireless USB adapter into a USB port on your PC. Turn on the headset. In Windows sound settings, set HyperX Cloud Flight S Game as the default device and HyperX Cloud Flight S Chat as the default communication device. For 7.1 surround sound, configure the speakers as 7.1 Surround via the sound control panel.

How to enable 7.1 surround sound?

Press the 7.1 Surround Sound button (I) on the headset to turn virtual surround sound on or off. The headset must be set to 7.1 mode in your PC sound settings.

What is the battery life of the HyperX Cloud Flight?

The battery life is 30 hours with volume set to 50%. The battery charges via USB or Qi wireless charging.

How to charge the HyperX Cloud Flight headset?

Use the included USB charging cable to plug it into a USB port. The LED indicates charge level: solid green for full charge, breathing green for 15-99%, breathing red for less than 15%. The headset is also compatible with Qi wireless chargers: place the left earcup on the pad.

How to use the game/chat audio balance feature?

Press the left button (B) to increase game volume and the right button (C) to increase chat volume. This allows independent mixing of the two audio sources. Note: Not available on PlayStation 4.

Is the microphone of the HyperX Cloud Flight detachable?

Yes, the microphone is removable (K). You can take it off when not needed. The mic also has a mute LED (L) that glows red when the mic is active and turns off when muted.

What to do if the headset does not turn on?

Check that the headset is sufficiently charged. Press and hold the Power button (H) for 3 seconds. If it still does not turn on, connect it to the charger and wait a few minutes before trying again.

How to check the headset battery level?

The status LED (G) indicates charge: solid green for 90-100%, blinking green for 15-90%, blinking red for less than 15%. You can also check via the HyperX NGENUITY software.

Can I use the HyperX Cloud Flight with a PlayStation 4?

Yes, plug the USB adapter into the console. In audio settings, select USB Headset (HyperX Cloud Flight S) for input and output, then set output to headset as All Audio. Note: The game/chat balance feature is not available on PS4.

Setting up with PC

1. Connect the wireless USB adapter to the PC.
2. Power on the headset.
3. Right click speaker icon > Select Open Sound settings > Select Sound Control Panel

1. Under the Playback tab, click on "HyperX Cloud Flight S Chat". Then click on the down arrow next to Set Default and select Default Communication Device.

WARNING: Permanent hearing damage can occur if a headset is used at high volumes for extended periods of time.

Charging the Headset

It is recommended to fully charge your headset before first use.

When charging the headset, the headset status LED will indicate the current charge status.
