Warning

• The device is only intended for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.
• This device may be used by children over the age of eight and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.

• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR INSTRUMENT

Thanks to its multifunctional ionic technology, the FC 90 Pureo Ionic Skin Care is ideal for cleansing and anti-aging facial treatments. The treatment head can be charged with either positive or negative ions. Electrochemical reactions cause these charged ions to get under the skin's surface into the deeper layers of the skin or to move from the deeper layers of the skin to the skin's surface.

Desincrustation cleansing:

The negatively charged components in the cleansing milk are channelled deep into the skin with the aid of the negative ions. There, they loosen impurities, which are then drawn to the skin's surface by the positive charge of the treatment head.

Anti-aging by iontophoresis:

If the treatment head is negatively charged, the negatively charged anti-aging agents in the Advanced Hydro Lift Cream are pushed away from the treatment head and carried deep into the skin. There, the anti-aging agents have the best possible effect.

Cool and heat function:

The FC 90 Pureo Ionic Skin Care also has a cool and heat function. The heat function relaxes the skin on the face and promotes circulation. It leaves your skin feeling smooth. With the cool function, swellings on the face can be reduced, pores can be tightened and the skin elasticity can be improved.

Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.

3. INTENDED USE

The FC 90 Pureo Ionic Skin Care must only be used to treat human facial skin.

The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. Use the device only according to the methods specified. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use.

This device is intended for domestic use only, not for commercial purposes.

4. WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES

WARNING

Before using the FC 90 Pureo Ionic Skin Care, read the safety notes through carefully. Non-observation of the following information may result in personal injury or material damage. Store these instructions for use and make them accessible to other users. Make sure you include these instructions for use when handing over the device to third parties.

• If, after using the device, you experience a worsening of the skin, undesired side effects or prolonged redness, stop using the device and consult your doctor.
• Do NOT use the device on acutely or chronically diseased (injured or irritated) skin (e.g. inflamed skin – whether painful or not, reddened skin, rashes, e.g. allergies, burns, bruises, swellings, as well as open and healing wounds).
• Keep the device away from water.
• Only use with the supplied mains adapter.

Electric shock

WARNING

• As with every electrical device, the FC 90 Pureo Ionic Skin Care must be used carefully and cautiously in order to avoid hazards due to electric shock.
• Only use the device with the mains adapter supplied and at the mains voltage specified on the type plate.
• Only plug the mains adapter into the socket when the device is switched off.
• Never use the device if it or any of its accessories are visibly damaged.
• Do not use the device if it has sustained a fall or if water has penetrated the device interior.
• Do not use the device during a storm.
• In the event of defects or operational faults, switch off the device immediately. Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
• Do not pull on the mains cable or on the device to disconnect the mains adapter from the socket.
• Never hold or carry the device by the mains cable.
• Do not clamp or pinch the mains cable.

• Keep the mains adapter away from hot surfaces.

• Ensure that the mains cable and mains adapter do not come into contact with water, steam or other liquids.

• Never reach for a device that has been submerged in water. Pull the mains adapter out of the mains socket immediately.

Repairs

WARNING

• Do not open the device.
• Only specialist personnel may perform repairs on electrical devices. Improper repairs may subject users to considerable danger. For repairs, please contact Customer Services or an authorised retailer.

Risk of fire

WARNING

There is a risk of fire if the device is used improperly or these instructions for use are ignored.

• Never use the device underneath a cover, such as a blanket or pillow.
• Never use the device near highly flammable substances.
  Make sure that the vents are not covered.
• Never store the device while it is still switched on. Always switch the device off before storing it.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures.

6. INITIAL USE

WARNING

Keep packaging material away from children! There is a choking hazard.

• Remove the device from the packaging and check that the device and all accessories are included and not damaged.
• Plug the mains cable into the bottom of the device.
• Ensure that the mains cable does not pose a trip hazard.
• Plug the mains adapter into the socket.

7. USAGE

WARNING

Before starting the treatment, carry out a skin sensitivity test to check whether your skin is sensitive to the cleansing milk and the Advanced Hydro Lift Cream. To do this, proceed as follows:

• Clean a patch of skin in the crook of your arm thoroughly, apply a little of the cleansing milk and Advanced Hydro Lift Cream to this cleaned patch of skin and allow the product to soak in and dry.

• If the skin shows no reactions within the next 48 hours, you can use the tested products without hesitation.

• If the skin appears to react before the end of the 48-hour period, you should not use the tested products for facial treatment.

• Do not carry out the skin sensitivity test around the eye area.

You can use the device to care for your skin as well as to cleanse it.

During the treatment, hold the device so that your hand covers both chrome-coloured stripes on the side of the device. If you do not do this, the electric circuit will be open and the ionic function will not be possible.

Treatment applications

To ensure the best possible effect, we recommend that you only use the products provided when using the cleansing treatment function and anti-aging treatment function, as these have been perfectly adapted for use with the FC 90.

We recommend using the care treatment function in the morning and a combination of the cleansing and care treatment functions in the evening.

7.1 Care treatment function (mornings):

Preheating phase 30 seconds

Precooling phase 30 seconds

• Apply the Advanced Hydro Lift Cream to the area of your face that you wish to treat.
• Press the ON/OFF button ① on the device.
• Press the heat button first and then press the negative ions button The device is now in the preheating phase for 30 seconds. "WAITING" is shown in the display. As soon as the "WAITING" display turns off, the device is ready to use.
• Now use the treatment head to gently massage your face in circular motions.
• After two minutes of treatment, press the cool button and the negative ions button The device is now in the precooling phase for 30 seconds. "WAITING" is shown in the display. As soon as the "WAITING" display turns off, the device is ready to use. Continue with the treatment for another two minutes.
• To switch the device off again, press the ON/OFF button ①.

7.2 Combination of cleansing and care treatment functions (evenings):

Cleansing:

Preheating phase 30 seconds

• Apply the cleansing milk to your face.
• Press the ON/OFF button on the device.
• Press the heat button first and then press the negative ions button The device is now in the preheating phase for 30 seconds. "WAITING" is shown in the display. As soon as the "WAITING" display turns off, the device is ready to use.
• Now use the treatment head to gently massage your face in circular motions.
• After three minutes, press the positive ions button ① and continue the treatment for another minute. After the cleansing treatment, wash your face with lukewarm water.

Care:

After you have completed the cleansing treatment function, continue with the care treatment as follows:

Preheating phase 30 seconds

1 min

Repeat the process once from the beginning

• Clean the treatment head with a lint-free cloth until there is no trace of cleansing milk left on the head.
• Apply the Advanced Hydro Lift Cream to the area of your face that you wish to treat.
• Press the heat button first and then press the negative ions button The device is now in the preheating phase for 30 seconds. "WAITING" is shown in the display. As soon as the "WAITING" display turns off, the device is ready to use.
• Now use the treatment head to gently massage your face in circular motions.
• After one minute of treatment, press the cool button. The device is now in the precooling phase for 30 seconds. "WAITING" is shown in the display. As soon as the "WAITING" display turns off, the device is ready to use. Continue with the treatment for another minute.
• Repeat this heat and cool treatment as described above for one minute each. If necessary, apply a little more Advanced Hydro Lift Cream.
• To switch the device off again, press the ON/OFF button ①.

8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• When you are not using the device, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
• Carefully clean the device after every use with a cleaning cloth. If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth. Ensure that no water gets inside the device while cleaning it.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, as they could damage the device.
• Under no circumstances should you hold the device under water, as this can cause liquid to enter and damage the device.

9. WHAT IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS?

10. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its useful life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive - WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.
