How to set the time on the KNWS400N weather station?

Press and hold the Set button for 2 seconds. The year flashes. Use Up or Down to adjust, then press Set to confirm and move to the next setting (month, date, language, hour, minute, time zone). The system exits automatically after 8 seconds of inactivity.

How to enable or disable the alarm?

In normal mode, press the Alarm button to enable or disable the alarm. An indicator or icon shows the status. To set the alarm time, press and hold Alarm for 2 seconds.

What to do if the outdoor temperature displays '---'?

This means no valid signal has been received for 35 minutes. Check the outdoor sensor batteries, bring the sensor closer to the indoor unit, or press and hold Channel for 2 seconds to clear the channel and restart the search.

How to switch between °C and °F?

In normal mode, press the Down button (down arrow) once. Each press toggles between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

How to use the snooze function?

When the alarm sounds, press the Snooze (or SNOOZE) button. The alarm stops and repeats automatically after 5 minutes. You can repeat this operation.

What do the weather icons mean?

The four icons represent the forecasts: sunny (☀️), partly sunny (️), cloudy (☁️) and rainy (️). They are based on pressure and temperature trends.

How to add an additional outdoor sensor?

The station supports up to 3 RF channels. Install batteries in the new sensor, then press Channel to switch to the desired channel (CH1, CH2, CH3). The station should automatically detect the signal.

Which batteries to use and how to replace them?

The indoor unit uses 2 AAA batteries (not included). Open the compartment on the back, insert the batteries respecting polarity. For the outdoor sensor, use 2 AA batteries (not included) and close tightly.

How to clean the weather station?

Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the screen and housing. Never use solvents, abrasive products or water, as they could damage the device.

What to do if the screen remains black after power on?

Check that the batteries are correctly inserted and in good condition. If the problem persists, remove the batteries, wait 10 seconds and reinsert them. If the screen does not turn on, contact customer service.

3.2 Normal states

1. Hold "Set" for 2 seconds to enter into time setting.
2. Click "Alarm" to switch the alarm on/off.
3. Hold "Alarm" for 2 seconds to enter into Alarm setting.
4. Click "Up" to switch between 12 hr/24 hr.
5. Press "Down" to switch between ^ C / ^ F
6. When ALARM rings, click "snooze" to enter into the snooze state every 5 minutes.
7. Press "Channel" to switch RF channel, CH1 CH2 CH3.

3.3 Time set

1. Hold "Set" key for 2 seconds to enter into time setting.
2. The sequence of time setting: Year Month Date Language Hour Minute Time zone Exit.
3. There will have 1Hz flashing during setting.
4. Press "Set" to confirm the setting, and enter the next setting state.
5. Press "Up" one time, the setting will go ahead for one step; hold the key for 2 seconds, it will run forward by 8 steps/second.
6. Press "Down" one time, the setting will backward for one step; hold for 2 seconds, it will run back by 8 steps/second.
7. Moon phase is changed accordingly.
8. The system will exit automatically if no key is operated in 8 seconds.

1. Hold "Alarm" key for 2 second to enter into alarm setting.
2. The sequence of alarm setting: Hour → Minute → exit.
3. There will have 1Hz flashing during setting.
4. Press "Alarm" to confirm the setting, and enter the next setting state.
5. Press "Up" one time, the setting will go ahead for one step; hold the keys for 2 seconds, it will run forward by 8 steps/seconds.

4. Function and Effect

4.1 The receiving function of RF

1. After installing the battery and checking temperature/humidity, it will enter RF receiving state automatically for 3 minutes.
2. Under normal display mode, hold the "Channel" key for 2 seconds to clear out the channel information.
3. If there is no effective signal with same ID code received for the current channel in 35 minutes, the temperature of that CH will show "----".
