Frequently Asked Questions - 9563C MAKITA

What types of discs can I use with the Makita 9563C?
Use only discs with a maximum operating speed of at least 11,000 rpm. For cutting, use fiberglass reinforced grinding wheels.
How to correctly install the protective guard?
Unplug the tool, loosen the screw, pull the lever, place the guard on the bearing housing aligning the convex/concave parts, turn it 180°, then tighten the screw after pulling the lever.
Can I use the grinder without the side handle?
No, the side handle must always be firmly attached before use to ensure good grip and safety.
How to adjust the speed on CV models?
Turn the adjustment dial to a number from 1 to 5. The higher the number, the higher the speed (1: 2,800 rpm, 5: 11,000 rpm). Do not force beyond 1 or 5.
What to do in case of vibrations or imbalance at startup?
Perform a no-load test for at least 30 seconds. If abnormal vibrations persist, stop immediately and check the disc mounting or replace it if damaged.
How to change the grinding wheel?
Unplug the tool, press the lock button to immobilize the shaft, then loosen the lock nut with the pin wrench by turning to the right. Reassemble in reverse order.
The tool stops automatically during use. Why?
The overload protection automatically cuts off power if the load exceeds the allowable limit. Let the tool cool down and reduce pressure on the workpiece.
What safety precautions should I take?
Always wear eye and ear protection, as well as a dust mask, gloves, and apron. Ensure the tool is off and unplugged before any adjustment.
How to clean the ventilation openings?
Unplug the tool and use a non-metallic object (like a brush) to remove dust from the air inlets and outlets.
Where can I get my tool repaired?
Repairs must be carried out exclusively by an authorized Makita service center to maintain safety and reliability.
