How to use the MZ 2619 chopper?

Place the container on a flat surface, install the blade (blade facing down), add the food, place the lid until it clicks, then install the motor unit. Plug in and select the speed. Press the motor unit to chop. Do not exceed 3 minutes of continuous operation.

What foods can I chop with this appliance?

You can chop hard-boiled eggs, spices, nuts, garlic, onions, parsley, bread (breadcrumbs), meat, parmesan, and other foods of similar consistency. Refer to the table in the instructions for recommended quantities and times.

How to clean the chopper?

Unplug the appliance. Clean the motor unit with a dry cloth. Wash the container, lid, and blade with soapy water. Caution: the blade is sharp. Do not put parts in the dishwasher. Wipe with a dry cloth before storing.

What to do if the appliance does not work?

Check that the appliance is properly plugged in and that the lid is securely closed. If the problem persists, contact customer service. Do not repair yourself.

Can I chop ice cubes?

No, never chop hard foods like ice cubes, nutmeg, or large pieces of chocolate, as you risk damaging the blade.

What is the maximum chopping capacity?

Capacity varies by food. For example, for meat: 150-200 g, for onions: 200 g, for spices: 0.2 liters. Do not overfill the container.

How to change speed?

Use the control button on the motor unit to choose between speed I (slow) and II (fast). For pulse operation, press the motor unit in short bursts.

What to do if the blade is dull?

The blade is sharp and normally does not require sharpening. If damaged, contact customer service for a replacement part.

Can I use the dishwasher for cleaning?

No, never use the dishwasher. Wash all parts (except the motor unit) by hand with soapy water.

What is the warranty period?

The warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase, against any material or manufacturing defects. Keep the receipt as proof of purchase.

• Before commissioning this device please read the instruction manual carefully.
• Please keep these instructions, the guaranty certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging!
• The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use!
• Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the device is not in use, when attaching accessory parts, cleaning the device or whenever a disturbance occurs. Switch off the device beforehand. Pull on the plug, not on the cable.
• In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, never leave them unsupervised with the device. Consequently, when selecting the location for your device, do so in such a way that children do not have access to the device. Take care to ensure that the cable does not hang down.
• Test the device and the cable regularly for damage. If there is damage of any kind, the device should not be used.
• Do not repair the device yourself, but rather consult an authorised expert.
• For safety reasons a broken or damaged mains lead may only be replaced by an equivalent lead from the manufacturer, our customer service department or a similar qualified person.

Special Safety Instructions

• Switch the appliance on only if the blade, the protective lid and the motor casing are mounted correctly!
• Wait for the blade to stop before removing the contents in the container!
• WARNING: Handle the blade with caution! DANGER OF INJURY!
• Use the appliance only to chop food!
• The appliance is designed to process only small quantities of food! Fill the container with the maximum quantities specified in the table!
• Do not put hard foods such as ice cubes, nutmeg or large pieces of chocolate into the container! The blade can be damaged!

Putting into Operation

Before using the appliance for the first time wash the transparent container, the protective lid and the blade in a sink.

WARNING: handle the blade with caution! DANGER OF INJURY!

1. Place the transparent container on a level and smooth work surface.
2. Mount the blade (facing down) on the metal shaft in the transparent container.
3. Fill the container with the desired ingredients. Do not overfill the container, otherwise the ingredients may not be chopped thoroughly (see the table with the quantities)!
4. Place the white protective lid on the transparent container and press it firmly until you hear it snap into place. Turning the protective lid as you do so will help to fit it into place!
5. Mount the motor casing. Insert the power cable into a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact outlet.
6. Select one of the two speeds with the switch on the motor casing (see table).
7. Press down with your hand on the motor casing. The appliance is switched on. A pulsating motion can be obtained by pressing and releasing the motor casing continuously. Use the appliance only for a maximum of 3 minutes. Before using it again leave it to cool for at least 2 minutes!
8. After chopping release the motor casing. Pull out the plug from the outlet.
9. Take the motor casing off the transparent container.
10. Take the protective lid off and remove the blade carefully. DANGER OF INJURY!
11. Now you can remove the contents from the transparent container.

Of course, you can chop also other foods that are not specified herein. In order to determine the maximum time for a type of food that is not specified herein, compare it with the hardness of another type of food provided in the table, i.e. an Apple has the same insistence of onion. In this case, refer to the indications in the table for "onion".

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Make sure that the plug is pulled out of the outlet after use and before cleaning!
• Clean the motor casing with a dry cloth without detergents.
• The transparent container, the protective lid and the blade are to be cleaned in a normal sink. WARNING: do not dip the motor unit in water. Use any commercial detergent to wash the parts. WARNING: handle the blade with care! DANGER OF INJURY!
  • Dry all parts with a dry towel after washing.
• Do not wash in a dishwasher!
• When putting the appliance away, wind the cable, put all the parts together and fit the motor casing into place.

Warranty

We undertake to guarantee the appliance sold by our company for 24 months as of the date of purchase (cash receipt).

During the life of the warranty we shall provide for the repair or replacement of the appliance owing to material or manufacturing defects absolutely free of charge.

Proof for the warranty is provided by the purchase document. The replacement and repair will not be performed free of charge without this proof of purchase.

Should the warranty be valid, please consign the complete appliance in its original packing together with the cash receipt to your local dealer.

Defects to the accessories do not entitle to the change of the appliance. These will be replaced free of charge. In this case do not send back the appliance. Just order the faulty accessory! Broken glass parts are replaced at the expense of the owner!

The cleaning, servicing and replacement of wear parts are not covered by this warranty and hence are to be paid for.

The warranty is terminated in case of handling on the part of Third parties.

After the warranty

Once the warranty has expired, repairs can be carried out by specialized technicians or repair services against the payment of the service.
